Chef Buck, you and Camera Girl are so much fun!! My husband and I admire the two of you. You are full of joy and it is a breath of fresh air!! Thank you for your great ideas and inspiration! Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy, and Wealthy New Year to you both and your mom too!!!
that's just super nice of you to say...we wish the same back atcha...I have a feeling I'm gonna blink and this year will be over with!--best to y'all in the New Year!
Had to stop by this video again to tell you how delicious this recipe was. It tasted like you were eating something with carbs in it but without the guilt. I have shared this recipe with many and gave the name of your UA-cam channel. As a non chef I would never think those ingredients would result in something that looked and tasted the way it did. My slow metabolism can’t thank you enough!
well thanks a lot for watching and giving the pancakes a try...it is surprising how "bready" these cakes feel with only banana and egg...hope you have a nice holiday!
I can’t tell you how much I loved this video! I never knew this was an option to traditionally made pancakes. I am going out today to buy bananas for this recipe I will have make for Sunday brunch. Everything else I have in the house. Thanks so much for this video!!!
these banana cakes satisfy my pancake craving with a lot less guilt--although sometimes I do add chocolate chips which practically transforms the dish into a dessert--the banana is sweet enough, and then adding fruit AND syrup should bring back the guilt, but somehow it doesn't :^)
Oh, banana and pancakes, both are awesome! This recipe combines both if them which makes it super cool. Thank you for sharing this with us, Chef Buck 👍😀
Thanks, CB and CG. Those look great! I'm mulling over what I could use instead of bananas to lower the carbs a bit. It would have to have some body and thickness like a banana so the "batter" won't be too watery. Maybe pumpkin, or butternut squash, with a tiny bit of coconut flour or flax meal to absorb any liquid... Still carby but not as much as banana. Anyway, I enjoy these real time videos. I don't mind your jibber-jabber all through them. In fact the talking, and banter between you & Camera Girl, is one of the best things about your channel. It's like watching a magician - the best ones work a thread of comedy through their act. Cooking shows are a dime a dozen, but there's only ONE Chef Buck! And ONE Camera Girl. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Regards to Meemaw, too - I use her easy-peasy stove top pot roast technique, and it's a winner every time.
thanks for the kind words...I've got several cans of pumpkin in the cabinet and I'm gonna do some experimenting with them for pumpkin pancakes...it's certainly a good time of year for it...hope you have a great Christmas!
One person, one banana, I think I can do this. Love the recipe, and your and CG's personalities are like a ray of sunshine. I gotta go get me some vegetarian hippy eggs 💕
I should have pointed out those eggs a little more closely--they say a lot of healthy-sounding things on the carton and they're not overly expensive, plus they're packaged quite well and I don't know if I've ever found a broken egg in a carton at the store...they're called "4 Grain Vegetarian Eggs"
@@ChefBuckRecipes Thanks, I'll look for those. We don't eat so many eggs in my house so I don't have them often, but I think I know about the packaging you are talking about, is it almost like a double package that seals really well? Love those
This is my favorite recipe of yours. Have made them a lot. Sometimes I add a teaspoon of coconut flour...adds the right amount of fluffiness, if you like the taste.
coconut sounds like a really nice combo with these ingredients...we always have some coconut flakes in the fridge and I think I'll add some next time I make a batch
Chef Buck Hope you like it, Chef. Now I have to try the flakes. Never thought of that..ooh, with macadamia nuts! Now see...you got me started again! lol. Love this recipe!!!
I love that mapley taste so I often add syrup, but it's not really needed with these banana pancakes as much as regular pancakes want for syrup...you ever just put a spoonful or two of yogurt on pancakes? I love that...have a great Christmas week!
happy holidays!--hope you like these pancakes...we've been having them more now that the weather has turned a bit cooler and a cold breakfast isn't as thrilling
Thanks!--hope you have a great Christmas this week--I can't believe the year is already winding down (I'm glad it is though, I'd get in a time machine and zip ahead to next summer right now if I could)
glad you liked the vid--thanks for sitting through it...in my mind I thought I'd have these real-time pancakes cooked and on the plate in about 10 minutes (things in my head work out so much smoother than the things not in my head) ....happy holidays!

I'm a lover of chocolate chips.. They go in the fridge...just a handful...its a great quick little energy pick me up!😅 they don't last long in my house either... Love your recipe.. You two are so cute!🌞🎄
I have a terrible habit of taking a handful of chocolate chips and putting them on the kitchen counter and then separating them into 4 or 5 little piles of 6 to 7 chips and then taking a handful of peanuts and mixing the nuts into the little chip piles and then randomly eating them by the pileful as I work in the kitchen...I'll sometimes do this a few times a day, which sounds sad when I write it out like this and read it
@@ChefBuckRecipes that is hilarious. We are defiantly not that meticulous. Hahah we just grab and go🤪 no rhyme or reason. Your way sounds so much more appetizing!😁 Merry Holidays to you both! 🥞🥓🧇🍫
Looks awesome! I’m trying this tomorrow. I like my pancakes topped with plain yogurt and drizzled with honey. But I’m Lebanese so I like yogurt on everything. Greetings from TX 😎
I know--I really flubbed on the timing--this video should have been 5 minutes shorter, easily!...but I didn't burn them or flip them onto the floor, so I've definitely done worse :^)
my mom makes a great pie--I really like her lemon meringue pie, which isn't usually a pie I get into, but I'm happy with any pie she makes. Her coconut cream pie is fantastic, but I've never been around to video her making one of those....wow...I'm really thinking of pie, now :^) ...I've made a couple of batches of pumpkin bread this week and it's been yummy, but bread isn't exactly pie :^( ...I tried making some pumpkin pancakes similar to these banana pancakes without flour, but they were just so-so since canned pumpkin is a little wetter than banana...maybe I'll toss in some almond flour and see if that is a good compromise. Hope you have a great Christmas week!
@@ChefBuckRecipes I hope you have a great Christmas week too. I'm going to make the Chocolate pie.. I wrote it all down. I'll have to wait until all these holidays are done first.

hmm...never thought of that, or tried it...let us know if you do...I was thinking of giving this recipe a go, but with canned pumpkin...I'll see how that turns out
these cakes feel pretty bready to me with just the banana, egg and baking powder...everything else I add in is pretty optional, although for me, actual crunchy nuts are kind of a must-have since they add an interesting texture and make the cakes feel less plain
that's hilarious...I always thought it was weird that my dad knew who Snoop was...whenever my dad made a Snoop reference my whole family would be like 'what the hell?'
I'm trying to talk a lot but not be too innane...I'm not much of a talker in real-life, so these longer almost-one-shot videos are sort of a challenge for me...hopefully I'll get better and more relaxed. It makes me think of when I was a young man and took a speech class at the local community college to help me get over my shyness (I dropped the class before I ever gave a speech cause I was too chicken)
I made banana pancakes a couple of weeks ago. My husband loved them.

In Australia we like golden syrup on our pancakes!
Used a potato masher on the bananas. Added granola. Delicious.
Banana chocolate chip pancakes with warmed PB and chocolate syrup on top are THE BEST
