Im glad i bought the a8l the room to work in the engine bay is amazing
Thank you for showing us the video it is great and helpful
Thanks for the Knowledge .
Thanks for the video. It was very helpful. I had my coolant tank out since I'm also removing the oil screen and upgraded turbos. It was easier without that in the way. It was hard finding proper spark plug gap but I found many with stage 3-4 are doing .022. Stock S6/S7 gap is .028. I used the RS7 NGK plugs which (part # 91006). NGK spark plug torque was 22 ft lbs.
This is great info! Thank you for sharing I’m sure someone will get use out of the Torq specs, I usually do torque them but didn’t in this instance also just ran the stock gap
I'm looking at an S7 with 147k on it, its a 2013 and has 5k Maintenace reported all the way to that point. I test drove it and it felt flawless. Im not a car guy and use a solo mechanic for my current car. I think I have the Air/Cabin/(maybe oil filter down) Would an average mechanic who can work on VW watch a YT vid on the oil screen and do it np? i also see alot of people blowing turbos when doing "stages" (assuming thats boosting the engine). Does the stock S7 have less issues?
Great video thanks
The New Yak accent is out of control LOL... I'm from RI and do all of my own work on my cahs too. Appreciate the video as I'm preparing to do this job on my fathers c7. It definitely looks much easier than I thought it was going to be.
I’m an Italian American New Yorker nun the less 😂 I’m glad to hear this video was helpful!
running like new love to see it
Thanks! Once I get the tune in which should be this week she’ll be like a new car
@@KotaPerformance did you get downpipes? Or any bolt ons or just jumping into stage 1
@@B58Gjon just stage 1 for now with flex fuel kit to run e85 and upgraded LPFP lines, and TCU tune. I already have full drivetrain inserts installed and a center muffler delete with X-pipe
Thank you for the help ..
Was considering doing the coil packs on my 2014 C7 RS6, but after watching this, i think I'll pay someone else to do it 😂 thanks for going through it, so we dont have to, dude
Anytime! And if your local to NY you can bring it by I’d be happy to do them and any other maintenance needed
You’re a lifesaver
Thanks I appreciate that!
Brisk racing spark plugs for the win
Just installed ER10s yesterday now that I’m stage 4, I do feel the ngk were sufficient for stock or stage 1 power without issue. Getting to the big boost definitely need cooler plugs
Have you upgraded or bypassed the turbo oil screen yet? I just did mine with JHM, big job. Thx for the video.
I plan on removing it and do more frequent oil changes. Last night I did my DSG service w/ internal and external filters also have the new PCV ready for when I do get a chance to get in to for the oil screen job, I suspect it may have already been removed or replaced in the past
Great video ......i done looked up so many videos and got no results, do you know where is the air mass flow sensor is on audi s7
The 4.0t doesn’t use MAF sensors but instead uses MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensors which work similarly. There is 3 in total, 1 on each diverter tube near the throttle body and 1 on the left side of the charge air cooler
Great video!Hey so I have an S7 2014.Just had it at the dealer to have the turbos replaced and did my 75k service so new plugs/wires oil change tranny flush etc.The epc light with the check engine light popped on again the other day with my obd scanner reading a cylinder 1 misfire!….🤔Had a terrible experience with Audi and I believe and hope it’s my ignition coils that are bad.As I don’t believe they were changed with the service performed. What’s your thought on the ignition coil being the issue and if I should just start there and replace those?I spent over 10k to just have the service mentioned performed and so I have grown Leary of there work I’m no mechanic BUT really feel this is the issue and that I could do it?Mind you I’m also stage 1.Any help helps! Thanks in advance!
Did the car shake by any chance?
I believe in preventive maintenance
Did you have any codes for the misfires prior to replacing your plugs? Im running into this on my 13 S6. Just curious if i should try plugs first then coils or just do them both? Great video. Thanks for the help
I did not have any codes for misfire prior but I replace them out of good maintenance. Typically misfires will be from fouled spark plague so I suggest starting there, if the problem is persistent take it to the next level and do the coil packs. You could do them at the same time but the coil packs are probably going to be a little expensive which is why I say start with the plugs. I hope this helps 👍🏼
@@KotaPerformanceI got bad misfire and engine light after harsh racing to the point my car shakes when it accelerates. I’m at stage 3 the spark plugs were replaced in the last 2 years. Do you think it’s from them or something else
@@rileyzack4346 depending on modifications it can be a lot of things, if it was spark plugs you would get the misfire even at idle but if it mainly happens under load or higher rpm it could be your charge air cooler leaking, keep an eye out for coolant loss or pull the charge air cooler to see if there’s a puddle of coolant in there and you’ll know for sure
@@rileyzack4346did you get with the issue? I have exact the same problem of yours...following!
@@rileyzack4346I got this too atm. Car doesn't like normal mode. Was told. It is engine mounts but can't see that causing a miss fire. I feel its just dirty plugs. But it's a bit job to just change the, what did u do. I've got a c7 v8
When you changing my spark plugs tho👀
As soon as we get the parts in we can do it
"let me move this temp sensor on the bottom".......unplugs the level sensor 😄
You are correct on that! Haha, I have my moments sometimes
What is the torque for the spark plugs?
Is it 25 inches lbs?
No 25NM
did your mpg improved after this?
I can’t recall but if it did then it wasn’t by much
Attempted this on my S6 and broke the plastic coolant hose. $45 to replace. Gave up after that lol.
Don’t be discouraged! That’s just part of the learning process 👍🏼
Hell no I'm not doing that myself. lol
it is so complicate...... I gonna go to repair shop to get some help....
If your located in or around New York we provide this service for our customers
@@KotaPerformance opps, sorry bro, I am in Toronto. I need to find a shop nearby. Thanks for your video. btw, it is so difficult to change spark plug in c7 s7 rs7
Wait. So you destroyed so many clips to "save" you $500 bucks?! Honestly sounds like its going to cost you more now with all these loose connections now
Didn’t end up breaking that many and I was specifying the security tab, not the actual tab which holds both ends of the connector together
