loved it...brought back memories of my NYC Marathon....1985. A long time ago. That run killed me...we had over 90% humidity...first rain at the start, wind and then the humidity. Some day I would love to give it a go again. Again...love the video, keep them coming
What a beautiful quite Sunday morning. Always makes me high on race day. Run New York in 2020, just qualified few months ago, can’t wait to be on this bridge
I love watching you guys do races I'm in too...much faster, but the same race. I was excited to watch the Ginger Runner video from TCS last year that I ran too. Great Job.
I really enjoyed it. I wish I was there ,missing Manhattan and wish I could even get into it but I run to slow (5:09) ha ha. Great job and I love the music selection in your video.
Congrats on running one heck of a time in NY! I was there to cheer everyone on. It was well-organized and a beautiful day for it. I'll put up my short video later. I just subscribed to you!
Thanks for the nice comment! I put up my video last night. It's very amateur, but I guess you gotta start somewhere, ha ha! Good job with your vids and your running. I'll be watching and liking.
Congrats. Saw you on broadcast TV at the end . 2:53 is clock time but what was your chip time? Also, did you use GoPro? How were you able to keep the video steady while running? Stabilization software?
Great video - I am running the NYC marathon this year... it’s only my second marathon having completed the first back in April (London) . What did you shoot this on, nice steady shots :)
I watch your videos every morning! keep up the great work :) if ever you do free up some time, I would love to ask you a couple questions if that Is okay? thanks !
Damn! Smokin' !! Awesome time. Particularly as you were filming yourself at the same time. And super/smooth footage - any stabilisation in post? Or is that all the Osmo?
Awesome race and video Jam! I was just wondering how you filmed the whole race when the battery life for the Osmo lasts only 30 min. Did you bring extra batteries and switch during the race?
Congrats! You made that look super easy. Also interested in what nutrition you took during your run? Looks like you had a bagel, cup of coffee and then some water half way!!!
+run steep get high Thanks for the answer. I'm runnning my first marathon this weekend and nutrition is something I've been concerned about. This helps. I'm going for a similar time that you posted, but I'm sure I'll be working a lot harder than you to get it :)
+run steep get high I finished my first marathon this past weekend in Charlotte, NC. I got to say that you make it look so easy. I seriously struggled the last 10 Miles. I was super stoked to get a sub3, 2:59:48 . It was touch and go, whether I would make it. I made the mistake of starting too fast and had to pay the price.
Hello, I'm making a 'Best races in the world' video and am looking for some fun footage of the New York Marathon. Would it be okay if I use some of your footage for the video? Of course I'll credit you in the description.
Hi, used your nice movie for motivation. I'm going to join NYC Marathon this year 5.Nov.2017. Two questions, what camera did you use especially how did you film yourself and stabilize it? And what is November project?

"I guess I just qualified for Boston."
That nonchalance. Badass!
Great work! Run Boston without the Osmo and see what time you can pump out with those trail legs!
Loved that you brought your own cup...bring that trail ethic to the road races!

+randy cuffaro Thank you so much!
Great video. Thanks for recording, editing, and posting! It was fun to relive the race with your video. Thanks for letting me run with NP at the NYCM!

Good luck!

Good race and good Time, it s my future project
So rocking midriff for the marathon still rad, huh?
Damn! Smokin' !! Awesome time. Particularly as you were filming yourself at the same time. And super/smooth footage - any stabilisation in post? Or is that all the Osmo?
+FloNo Trail It's all directly from the Osmo, no post stabilization.
Awesome race and video Jam! I was just wondering how you filmed the whole race when the battery life for the Osmo lasts only 30 min. Did you bring extra batteries and switch during the race?
I only turn the Osmo on when I'm about to shoot a clip, then immediately turn it off again. I did have a spare as well.
Congrats! You made that look super easy. Also interested in what nutrition you took during your run? Looks like you had a bagel, cup of coffee and then some water half way!!!
+Michael Cooney I ate 3 gels and a half of a pack of Clif shot bloks

Me so jealous!!! Under 3 h race, shieeeet, also out of my reach now ;) BUT I WILL someday (maybe) ;D Thanks JamJam!!
GREATNESS
How'd you get on the race director bus?? That's killer.
+Peter Rank They had a program for race directors of other races to see some of the behind the scenes of the race.
That's really awesome. I've heard getting to the race start at the New York Marathon is the worst....
It seems like they have it fairly dialed between the buses and ferries. Just need to plan on a marathon of a morning before you even start running.

What kind of camera did you use, and how did you keep it so steady? You totally captured the experience from beginning to end, mister! Nice work.
I used the DJI Osmo which has a 3 axis gimbal built in to the unit.Thank you!
Googling that camera, and writing Santa Claus, thanks!
Did you use the DJI Extension stick like you you did when filming Chasing Walmsley?
What's the piano tune at the start it's in loads of your videos?
Larger Than Life 11 by Gavin Luke
too bad we didn't get to see november project
You can thank #paulleak for that! I'm sure him and #POW got some good coverage of their mile 10 shenanigans.
Show off lol You did excellent!
heard you say you were starving twice and only saw you eat a bagel before and only drink water at half. did you consume any calories during marathon?
+Kelly Mahoney Yes, 3 gels and a half pack of Clif chit bloks
just saw the answer for the camera already in the comments. Sorry. Please share other experience, if any. i like to film my run too. BR from Germany

Anne Curtis was in this marathon! Omg
It is 780 :)
Surfing shorts? He must have gotten a terrible rash
Anyone else missing racing right now?
Well done!
