man, the way he speaks is funny, but everyone in f1 is used to accents, since the drivers are from many different countries. what turned this into a classic was the length of the question and his mannerisms. The accent was just the cherry on top.
It was a great question and i think people forget that the year after this F1 introduced new rules about driver coaching/telling them how to drive the car. The rules turned out to be a silly idea but this reporter asked a very relevant question which shortly afterwards became a hot topic.

F1 is a global sport and many drivers themselves have thick accents (Fernando, Grosjean etc.) they definitely weren’t making fun of his accent. Go look for reasons to be upset somewhere else.
