    Great amp that really captures Tony's tone and truthfully is the Godfather of Heavy Metal! That said I had the pleasure of seeing Sabbath in the early days and they did the first two albums that sounded exactly like the recordings! Also had the pleasure of meeting Tony and the boys backstage and they were great guys!

    The thing I love about Rob reviewing amps especially is how he lets those notes ring out longer than you would if you were just playing a show. A lot of guys at the heart of it feel the need to show off, but not the Chappers. Makes a big difference.

    I have the IRT 15 head and cab which is pretty much the same amp but with reverb.I play blues mostly and couldn't agree more with the Captains comments at the end of this review.Gain set at 3-4 this amp sings,even at bedroom levels in the 1 watt input. Don't dismiss this amp as just a high gain beast.There is something going on here,there are some stunning sounds at lower gain settings.I love it.The dynamic control and the pre boost add something as well.Lots of other features too,and loud enough to gig with.I came across my amp by accident,just trying out a Tele in a music shop in Gloucester and I plugged into the nearest amp.I couldn't believe how good it sounded at a reasonable volume.I bought the guitar and the amp.Probably the best practice amp I own.The Captains tone with the Les Paul at the end is great.Check one out when you can you won't be disappointed.

    I also am an old rocker and grew up on Sabbath. Total respect to any player with a physical problem, hell his fingertips were cut off and still didn't let it hold him back :-) I am also glad he is making it through his treatments well. It's all in the fingers ( No pun intended ) I will be getting this massive 15 watt. Thank you Laney for giving the Iommi tone in a bedroom level amp. Will there be a HEad Version soon?

    Cut the pinch harmonics - Tony didn't use them, Zakk did, but he's not in the same league. Truly skilled and powerful playing doesn't need embelishments like this

      +Michael Stephen Last time I checked, he is not Tony. It is called adding personal aspects of your own playing style into the demo. He is not there to copy Tony. If you are going to copy someone's style, you have totally lost the point in playing an instrument.

    • @michaelstephen819
      @michaelstephen819 9 років тому +4

      He's trying to demo (and sell) an Iommi-endorsed product. His job is to emulate the Iommi sound, not demo how "good" a guitarist he is. When he's on stage with his own band he can do that.

    I bet this thing would have an absolutely SICK bedroom tone through a 2x12 or a 4x12. They need to make a lunchbox head version of this and i'd be all over it, don't need another combo amp ill only ever use through an extension cab lol

    I bought one :) amazing little amp! We just can't get decent cleans :P but that's not the objective... it does anything between a "in-your-face" rock crunch and high gain, it's great! And the high gain it's very controllable, not noisy. :D Even the "slightly driven" sound is nice, which i wasn't expecting at all. It's one of those amps that you don't know how to explain it but it has a character in the sound that makes it special and apart from the other amps at that range!
