I have found, through trial and error, that cucumbers get much better pollination when the flowers are easily accessible. Growing on a trellis is the best way to obtain that.
Sarah, Your cucumber trellis looks so sturdy that will be reused over and over what ever vegetables vines you planted awesome, mine is cattle panel they are winderful and sturdy. In the tropics plants grow so fast year round I envy you. Us here in the North of U. S. I do’nt start seeding until March for June transplanting I Can’t wait. Thanks Sarah for posting the cuke juice looks yummy. You inspired me how you do with your veggies into recipes. Looking forward for your next video. Thanks👍👍👍❤️
Thanks so much Lita! Great to hear that you are growing food as well , its nice to share- I was actually really looking for cattle panel , but they are not available here where I live ,so that was the best next option!
I am in the middle of winter but you are making me excited about summer and cucumber growing. I gave away so many last year because I didn't think to make them into juice, I'm definitely going to try juicing them this year. xx
I would personally grow Butternut squash instead of Cucumbers for delicious soups that is nutritious. Cucumbers are OK but in winters I love Pumpkins and Winter squash. The are cucurbita family
I love Pumpkins as well, they are so versatile and growing in abundance in my garden, More as a ground cover as for the net they would be too heavy. Here its hot even in winter , so cucumbers are good for hydration and cooling of the body!
: Do you allow the side shoots to grow or let only the main vine to produce cucumbers/ bitter gourds ?? If you do, how many do you allow to grow as secondary leader ? - Thank you 🙏
I have heard that people prune the side shoots , but I just let them grow wild as they want. Then only things I sometimes prune away are welted leaves on the bottom of the plant or if there are too many leaves on top of each other!
Natural organic fruits and vegetables for the optimization of ones health and longevity. You can use a cold press juicer like the tribest elite juicer or a vacuum blender to make your juice less oxidized.
I do not really have pests, there is an ecosystem that takes care of itself. And every season and year is different- I think it balances it out by itself. Once there are some bugs that overgrow there will naturally follow some other beneficial creature to help with it!
The cucumber drink looks great! However, why don't you eat the whole cucumber? You're throwing away all that fiber, aren't you? Or do you use the filtered fiber in other ways?
I eat plenty of cucumbers every day , but I also love to drink its water! And the little fiber I use in smoothies or dehydrated recipes like crackers or wraps:)
Why dont you simply eat the cucumbers? I mean, the juice gets processed very fast in your body but if you eat it, the body will take its time to digest it and you'll feel full for a longer time.
You are doing a lot of molching. Don't you have a lot of scorpions 1000 feet insects and snakes.... Taking residence inside there? We in uttar Pradesh can't really do it because of Kobras scorpions.... Going to live inside

You just ground the whole cucumber, did it not taste bitter with the skin ?
I'm curious, how big is your garden in terms of Sqft and how many trees, plants you have?
Happy to see... Where is the place?

How do you manage pests in your garden?
