I bought the PM2 cruwear brown micarta as my first knife and I didn’t realize it had different liners I guess. Do you know where I can get scales for the full liners because I can’t find anything lol. Guess I have to get a whole new pm2 bc I was planning on customizing it 😂. Guess not now haha
First of all, a Crucarta PM2 is a super cool first knife!! I also have one and have wanted to do a scale swap (even though it’s really great as is). So far I have not seen scales that are made to swap with that model. I’ll definitely keep my eyes open though!
I'd love to see someone come out with full liner delete scales for the pm2, leaving a sort of para 3 LW design. It would require cutting the lockbar off at the standoff and drilling/tapping an additional hole in it, but I'd like to think there's enough people that could manage that. I've done it just to prove it can be done, but I also still had to use the front part of the liner (surrounding the pivot) because the scale was milled out for it, but would be completely unnecessary otherwise. Ultimately it was a pointless endeavor, but that's basically my specialty. When the pm2 LW is a thing, I bet that's the exact design we see, though.
I love it! There’s absolutely no denying that tinkering with these things is a blast. Even when the return on investment doesn’t match up. The friend who’s knife this is was over the moon about this swap!
That sure is an awesome knife, I love seeing what everyone does with their pm2s, makes me want to buy more!
With all of the blade steel and scale options out there you really can always have one more PM2!

Is the titanium hardware better than the steel one that comes stock? In terms of stripping screws etc....
Nope, just lighter and fun to use anodized hardware. You have to be more careful to not strip out titanium screws.
@@olbubs yeah I thought so cause they say its softer than steel... I guess I'll stick with stock hardware...
