  • A NEW BADGE OF HONOR TRAIL! QUARTZ CANYON at Hot Springs Off Road Park. It is one of the newer Jeep Badge of Honor Trails and newest at the Hot Springs Off Road Park (ORV Park) in Arkansas. This video will show the entire trail (fast forwarding in sections). We will take you from the entrance, to the Park Store and across the street to enter the West Side (H5) then intersect H42 as we make our way to J18 - Quartz Canyon. You can fast forward to time stamp 6:15 starting at the trail entrance. Explore this trail and earn another badge today!
Jeep Girl (Dianne) is driving the entire trail in a Jeep Gladiator. The length of the Jeep Gladiator provides an additional challenge with tight turns. Stopping for video footage makes the trail drive longer but we make up for it by fast forwarding through many sections and stopping at key challenges. This trail is approximately 1.8 miles long with many twists and tight turns going around a long loop of ascending and descending hills often with steep shoulders along one side for your viewing pleasure. We tried to inject some fun with our highlights and notes. We end our trail ride at Jim's Outlook (H43 Loop) with a drone shot capturing the landscape. We hope you enjoy it.
Trail ratings are a general rating for the average condition of the trail. Weather conditions, previous activity on the trail could alter the trail rating. For example - rain can have additional affect on surface tension and gripping. This could increase the trail rating from a 3 diamond to a 4 or even higher. Please check in with the Park Store for any changes and current conditions.
We chose to air down the tires to a target of 12 PSI. Weather conditions affect this as well. A 12 PSI in approximately 70-75 degree weather will could change to a 10 PSI overnight with temperatures dropping in the mid 40's. Airing down is captured in this video. Air Stations are located next to the Park Store to refill tires at the end of the day.
This trail can be driven in normal conditions with a stock Jeep but it is recommended you always check trail conditions at the store for any changes. I would recommend a minimum of a 33" tires. We drove this trail with a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon with a 3.5" lift, 38" Nitto Grappler Tires and 5:13 Gearing in the differentials. Check with the Park Store directly for their feedback.

Looks like a nice place to take the Red Beast Wagon if I get out that direction some time.

Thank you. I appreciate you watching our channel. We enjoyed the area and experienced many of their trails at that park. The plan is to have all 4 Jeep Badge of Honor trails posted as videos. As of this date, I have only posted Quartz Canyon, Rubicon Ridge and Fun Run. I am still working on the production of Snake and should have it published soon. There is an online map to download as well for Hot Springs Off Road Park. Thank you again.

Cool video! I've been wanting to try that park for a while, I live about 2.5 hours away. Did you lock your rear diff out of necessity or convenience? My jeep doesn't have locking diffs.

Thank you for watching, I would definitely say we could’ve gone up that incline without locking the differential, but I do not know what rainy weather would create on that slope. I would say in my opinion, that was a fun trail, and we only locked it for preventative measure. As always, I do recommend always checking in with the Park store to find out if any conditions on these trails change during the course of the year. We appreciate you watching our video. Thank you. We have also published Rubicon Ridge, as well as Fun Run. I do have all the videos for Snake, but have not published that as of yet.
