The fixture inside... the instructions... explain it is a steam cup cover which need to remain. It also has the max setting mark. Absolutely nothing to do with stirring.

Looks O.K Matt as you say apart from the plastic base. A few times I have removed the kettle from the charger on our kettle (Different Manufacturer) & the base has not unclipped properly and got dragged across the counter top. But you learn to make sure that you lift it up dead central vertically slowly & this doesn't seem to happen. Also if you say "Bodum" in the style of the Pink Panther theme it works very well 😁

Yes as I find the slower pouring is good on the tea bag to get the flavour out.

Its the steam cup cover, and the instructions say do not remove.

Howdy. Is there any indication of ML's of water inside? Cause I want to measure 300ml precisely and measuring it up front would be an extra step. Having an visible indicator would be very helpful. Any idea?
