I think the album has held up really well, and those are two great tracks. I happened to catch Devil's Radio on Sirius' Beatles Channel when I was driving yesterday, it sounds so good cranked up in the car. Thanks, John!

Hi, Sharon. It would be great to see something special for George's 80th. Fingers crossed that on his birthday they will announce a new deluxe set - maybe Concert for Bangladesh or Living in the Material World. Have fun diving back into Cloud Nine, I know I really enjoyed listening to it several times this past week.
Ha ha! Wow, that's weird. I've never had that happen, but when I bought Some Time in New York City on CD, it included two copies of disc two and no copy of disc one. If it had been the other way around I might have kept it. Thanks for watching, Sam!
Great review Matthew. This album is certainly up there with George's best and came at a time when a decent album meant a return to form for him. Certainly a top 5 George album and I think Jeff Lynne really helped him rediscover his commercial sensibilities . Favourite track for me is the title track - I dont think George ever did anything quite like this in his career but plenty of other top tracks on this like This is Love, Wreck of the Hesperus, Fish on the Sand and Devil's Radio. Im trying to find a vinyl copy of Best of Dark Horse that you have on your shelf - expensive album to get hold of on vinyl . Thanks for this great review

Produced by Jeff Lynne, I really loved this albumback in the 80s, and still love it today. I especially love the title track and "The Devils Radio."
