Love these videos! Your work is just like ASMR :P
Just got mine!! thank you!
Why are there no carrots in Elden Ring? 😭
You could make asmr videos with that voice
If Loretta wasn't an albinauric herself, then perhaps she honed her archery by learning from their wolf-riding archers. They are quite formidable.
Yeah especially since every shot they fire is a guaranteed hit, without the powerup
@@M.A.R.S. well they are magic archers which is why they never miss. There archery is similar to that of the Ancestral Guardians…almost identical…wonder if there is a connection. Between them and the wolf riders 🤔
@@ShadowProject01hats a good point. Also note that ancestral followers, like the nox, predate the arrival of the elden beast in the lands between. Given the Nox's desire to create an elden lord of silver tears, it could be that they created the albinaurics and taught then the archery of ancestral followers?
re: Loretta, I like to think that while she wasn't herself an albinauric, she saw their poor treatment and was moved to protect them from her former masters. Mostly just cause it'd be nice to see another kind-hearted person in the narrative (and making her death and the failing of the Halig tree all the sadder). My friend also put forth their own headcanon that she can't walk as a disability so she went to learn from the first-gen albinaurics, which is where they gained her sympathy and eventual protection.
I think considering that she doesn't bleed silver it is likely she isn't an albanauric, but I also enjoy the idea of her being a disabled human who saw the albanauric wolf archers and realized her disability couldn't stop her from becoming the warrior she wanted to become. And I think being disabled herself would give her a unique empathy for the first generation albanaurics, who I think would share many of the same hardships and pains.
I hope to God you’ve chosen voice over work as a career. Excellent video.
Thank you so much Rich! I really appreciate your nice words. I am looking into improving my voicework and hopefully can pursue this full-time. Let's see :)

This was a lot of fun to watch! I like the idea of taking the questions that can be answered quickly and making a compilation video like this and spinning the bigger questions into full videos
this woman needs to do audio books or some shit like that, her voice is amazing.
She's the female VaatiVidya
I love the attention to japanese translations! Sometimes some important lore gets lost there like Ranni’s monologue during her ending
Thats not really true. The English is written before and at the same time as the Japanese and is the canonical text. The studio that does it is literally involved in the story writing process from the very first step. There is no "Japanese version" pre existing the english
You're videos just keep getting better and better. Loved the ad integration. Very clever.
Thank you for digging deeper into this lore, I came across all this and some notes through out the lands between and they're so vague by comparison to how you decipher it all
This made me like Nial even more even though I knew nothing about him. Thanks for giving me reason to respect him!
I hate Niall but cutting your leg off for your men is pretty sick

rewatching the lore vids again now with the knowledge of things in the dlc is so interesting! love the content and your ability to explain things in a way people can easily understand but also in depth
You're one of my newer favorite channels. Your voice is so dang calming, I could listen to you talk about anything.
One of the only creators that can make me pick up the game for another NG+ Thanks so much and great job on the channel so far!
My favorite kind of souls content, a soft spoken mega nerd informing me of all the things I have missed in these massive games. 10/10
This was an amazing video I hope you plan on doing more I have many questions
1- fias baby
2-the dragon Kin soldier origins are they like magma wyrms?
3-is Milicent related to melania or just a piece of her fragmented ego after she cast aside her pride and sanity to combat radahns overwhelming might
4- is the elden beast the true form of the ending ring or a parasite/avatar of the greater will if you look at radagons model the elden ring looks alot like the elden beast especially forwards the bottom where it greatly resembles the tail
5-dragon lord placidusax do we know what outer god he served at all? Did he have 5 heads or 4?
6-if every empyrean has a beast shadow Marika has maliketh and ranni has blaidd where is the beasts for melania and miquella........dlc?
Enjoyed the video! That ad break was really clever!

Oh and great taste in games 😁🔥
4:35 Really nice deduction miss, you have a very nice approach to the lore, simple and meaningful to the source materials
Anyone else enjoy just listening to various lore channels and other stuff like this? It’s so relaxing for me
Yes every night
The channel Smoughtown did a great video on the ancient dragons and in it he explains the biblical connection Dragon communion and the Wyrms have. The mention of the Wyrms being cursed to crawl the earth on their bellies is a direct reference to Genesis, where the serpents were cursed to forever crawl on their bellies for deceiving Eve. It just drives home that the transformation into wyrms is the result of the warriors attempting to circumvent their natural place and reach above their station. They wanted to fly with the dragons and instead have to crawl in the dirt forever.

Love these videos so high quality thanks for another great upload, interested to see what you cover next.
Can’t wait to see your takes on the lore from other stories! This format works really well for FromSoftware, but I’m sure we would tune in for any topic.
It's actually wild to think that, maybe the elden ring wasn't always inside Marika/Radagon, and that it could be there because it's using the 'mesh' of Radagon to hold it together, especially since in earlier depictions of the elden ring such as in farum azula, the elden ring doesn't appear to have the cross hatch pattern behind it (unless I'm not seeing it).
Like.... somehow I'm sure that's not true... but it'd be cool as hell
Love the content!! I've got one for you. This could be a lore question but also something of a mechanics question. What do you think "Arcane" is actually?
So to compare -Sorceries require Intelligence because sorceries are like a science in Elden Ring, attaining power and insight from the stars with glintstones as conduits.
Faith is power derived from divine ritual/practice, attunement to "higher" powers and affinity for channeling these sources of power like the Erdtree or Frenzy Flame.
But so then...what is Arcane? Arcane is linked to the albinaurics, poison, bleed, occult damage, but also bloodflame incantations/blood sorceries and Dragon Communion. I guess its like the "dark arts" or occult magic?
Would love your thoughts
I’m interested in seeing if there’s some lore or cut content of a connection between rani and rykard. It’s hinted they may have at one point worked together against the golden order.
Some video I watched said Rykard was a conspirator in the night of black knives. They didn’t have any specific reasons but that could very well be the aforementioned collaboration.
The description of the blasphemous claw item you get from Bernahl says that Ranni gave it to Rykard as a fail-safe, so he could fight Maliketh if necessary
That nord vpn diagram with Gastoc was hilarious
I thought Marika/Radagon was the elden ring and that's why their body is shattered. In the begining scene when they are hammering their body starts to crack.
Miss Chalice I love your voice and videos so much. I would love to listen to you talk about Placidusax, the dragon God, the other ancient dragons (maybe in comparison to the present day dragons, who appear almost as a different species) and the beautiful Farum Azula. Congratulations on a new place, I hope you settle in well

That's really interesting ! About Godrick the Grafted, I often heard that it was too bad that this whole concept of grafting was kind of a miss, that we only hear about it in the beginning of the game and never after. But this kind of theory about Radagon's attempt to graft the ring in some way is a really cool link to Godrick's !
There’s some reference to Hoarah Loux having done some kind of grafting also mention of a bunch of dragons forming a living wall
I always wondered about these obscure little details in the lore. Great video keep up the good work.👍
So glad you found this interesting! Thank you for watching!!
I legit listen to you for hours talking about anything . But really loving the lore of Elden Ring!
The Elden Ring can be thought of as the computer code for the world, including bits like "humans cannot die" and "this is how gravity works". Every rune you get is a bit that your maiden can rewrite to make you stronger in different ways. Radagon/Merika happens to have a lot left from the original.
You are defiantly going to take off. For several reasons. Mainly you have a great voice, great way of speaking, and great way of forming your scripts. Really good.
2 in particular.
I’m kidding, she’s amazing.

Worth noting that Castle Sol's heraldry, an eclipse with the sun specifically appearing to bleed a line of light, visually resembles the form of a needle, with an eye at the top and a long shaft emerging from it. This seems to imply, at least to me, that Miquella may well have been the one who commissioned the castle in the first place, especially given the name directly relates to the purpose he was to use it for: a ritual involving the sun.
Also, as has been noted by Tarnished Archaeologist, the Haligtree has many statues symbolically representing Miquella as an adult with a massive staff which appears to be in the form of a needle, and at least one of them depicts him walking amongst the roots of the Erdtree. Given the Erdtree's roots are deeply infected by Deathroot, and he is building a new sacred tree, it would appear that his intent is to use his sacred needles' capacity to eliminate the influence of outer gods to eliminate the power of the Rune of Death (which probably draws from the death god that is the patron of the birds with the same name) at the Deathroots' source: that is, that he intends to stab Godwyn the Golden's body and purify his body of the infection. Given the fact that there is a superstition/folk understanding that stabbing a tree with copper nails will kill it in its roots, he may well understand that this might kill the Erdtree in the process; thus, perhaps, he might have planted the Haligtree with the understanding it might need to be a replacement.
Lore of Elden Ring and videos to sleep to.
Closing my eyes at night and listening to your voice and words that depict and describe the lands between and its characters that fill those lands and places...and your voice that lulls and soothes gently and softly like fall of a single snowflake. I really love your videos, entertaining but also has an ASMR quality to them!

Btw the bald monk statues have scars on their faces. Making them the same as the smoldering heads that appeared in limgrave in the early leaked internal footage. I believe either zullie the witch or sekiro dubi also covered them since they were accidentally left in the network test and could be seen from certain loading zones.
These lore presentations are great😏👌
After watching them, they give me those exciting stomach butterflies when I think about coming home to play. Thanks for the content👏
Blacksmith here. We don't melt down things to repair them. If the item is made out of Iron or Steel, we do something called Forge welding (If you do it the traditional way).
It's essentially, you heat up the two parts, and sprinkle some steel filings between them. Then add a flux (Borax or pulverized quarts) Then heat the items up to the point where the metal starts to spark. Then gently hit them and gradually starts to hit harder and harder. This way the metals fuze, and becomes one again.
You could also cheat, and just grab a tig welder. But a real blacksmith will not allow sutch wizardry in their forge.
I love your vids. Glad to see you back! Maybe next q&a you can talk a little about what in the hell is happening in Dominula?
7:52 hands down the best sponsorship segment I’ve ever seen 😂
OMG! I was having a hard time following the lore for this game, but you make it extremely easy to understand. Thank you for all the great work 😊
There's a symbol of the elden ring in Maliketh's arena. If you take all the great runes and put them together you can make the same symbol with what we see inside Radagon.
About Radagons Rune, it's seen on the statue and is also seen as the thing that's preventing you from entering the ErdTree before you burn it. Radagon is preventing you from entering the ErdTree
That bald statue that you showed... That looked very much like lunar princess ranni's Empyrean body. Especially with how the scarf is draped across the shoulders and across the chest. It almost looks exactly like the one found on her corpse the red one.
The segue to the ad was amazing
I just discovered your channel. Really loving the videos, and the way you explain the lore of this game is amazing.
Greetings from México, hope you have a wonderful day :3
11:41 I need to really take my time and send you my thoughts somehow, you touch on so many interesting things.
Something noteworthy here, imo, is that it’s interesting that Godrick seems to defy his mother at this point in time. He is honoring the dragons and employing the banished knights. Stormveil doesn’t really seem like outskirts, unless we are saying Leyndell is basically civilization itself.
Just discovered your channel today, you have a soft voice that’s nice to listen to!
Welcome back! Should do a video on the lore of madness including shabriri. Keep up the good work!!
I forget the mask but the mouth of the mask has radagons cross hatching symbol too, and it says it's used as a seal so they cannot speak of secrets or something to that affect
Makes sense that Godrick took Niall's leg, he does that flying attack too, might be thanks to the grafting
About the pieces of the elden ring, there is a theory I've heard floating around. Even if we were to gather all the great runes and restore it, the current version is likely only a part of an older version of the ring. The runes in Maliketh's arena might be how the elden ring had appeared in a previous age.
I like the explanation of the ring been broken so now it make more sense that the runes that we hunt are additional round parts to the present Elden ring, now we can see how we get so many round circles in the Elden ring in Farum. Different than most people that think that the three circles are some of the runes we are hunting now.
Best ad transition I’ve seen in a while
0:18 Nah, Patches snuck into the artist’s studio and posed as his model that day. We all know how he likes to mess with clergy 😉
Edit: on a more serious note, as far as the broken ring, many of the pieces also overlap, so it’s possible they were not broken in the way we are thinking, like hitting a pane a glass with a hammer, but more like shaving flat bits off of a sheet of thick paper, so that they could also overlap. 🤷♂️
It would be great to hear your thoughts on the theory that Sellen might be related to the Carian royal family 😁 as usual, I looove your videos! Please keep it up 🖤
The very first statue strangely reminds me of the death ritual spear
Ah my hunger for lore and asmr has been satisfied, I'm in awe. Subbed :3
I wouldnt root out the possibility that Lorreta is Albinauric based on the blood alone because were also hitting her horse and what bleeds red is the creature not the knight.
Your videos explaining lore and answering less important details as in, not the main story or, who are the main characters of the game, are so incredibly appreciated, these lore explanations about certain types of enemies or side missions is just what I've been looking for. your voice is relaxing and is very good for this kinda thing, I'd put you right up there with VaatiVidya honestly haha
The demigods of lore now if only we could set them up romantically so we could get a lore emperion

Great work and keep up these amazing lore videos I even listen to them as ASMR, so cheers for that !.
I have a theory regarding the eclipse. The symbol of the eclipse does also show up on the shields of the undead mausoleum soldiers and is said to ward off death. Now what does the eclipse resemble? ...... None other than the full cursemark of death. Maybe they tried something similar to Fia, but failed: Create a rune that would modify the Golden Order and allow the dead to live in death.
I never even considered Radagon grafting the elden ring runes inside himself to keep it safe while attempting to mend it. That's such a neat theory that I really enjoy!
The quality of your videos and editing is impeccable 🔥♥️
Happy to see another vid! looking forwards to the next one!
Radagon's Mesh, or the crisscross pattern is something that is also represented in many Carian and Raya Lucarian Magical seals. Many item descriptions say that Radagon Learnt Magic while he was married to Rennala. It's reflected in the way that a lot of his Incantations are Faith and Intelligence Hybrids. We can assume that the Radagon Mesh is something he learnt from his time with Rennala,An Erdtree Version of the original stargazer magic.
That weird grid-like tree that appears when you say "real life application of grafting" , despite being real life and grafting, its more like a sculpture one guy did once as art, i feel like the theory implies this a standard method of grafting farms use. Fromsoft would only be aware of that if they specifically went trough that wikipedia page
one question i have is the connection between Godrick and Godwyn, both bearing the title of "golden". When we fight the shard bearers, it seems we fight them as they somewhat see themselves. Horuah-loux being one of note who denounces his previous name to fight you.
Morgott refers to Godrick as "the godlen" and that boy sure loves gold, but he and his rememberance are of Grafting, the path he chose to make himslef out of like when Marika tells her kids to make something out of themselves.
Godwyn, before we know him as the price of death, was called Godwyn the Golden. Now going by his death powers that he earned and had to force himself to adopt, but not golden anymore.
Is the title of "golden" a required seat to be filled in the Golden order? if so, what role does it bear in the story?
remembrance

yes!!! Thank you for checking out my TikTok - I would love to cover Cyberpunk 2077 shenanigans
@@miss_chalice awesome! im looking forward to it :)
Welcome back! This was such a great lore video. I do not think that Loretta herself was an Albunaric. The red blood is too much of a give away, but she might be something like an “Elf Friend” like we see in Lord of the Rings, a human ally or even someone who helped inspire the creation of the Albunarics. We do know they are a created species, and it was likely the Cadian Royal family was behind that.
Hmmmmm
Every time I watch your video it's make me search more about the secret of elden Ring, it's exciting
That's exactly my desired outcome! So pleased I can aid your imagination and exploration !
Love the overall themes running through the game. So many characters were on a predetermined path and eventually came to the conclusion that they were going to decide for themselves what to do with their lives. Pretty inspiring.
I'm not sure if it's because Farum Azula exists outside of time, but if you go there you can see stain glass depictions of the full elden ring before it was broken. Its massive compared to anywhere else it's ever depicted.
8:04 ! Now, that's what we call the ever brilliant Miss Chalice:)
13:47 damn I had not heard this one before, makes complete sense
Another hint that teh elden ring we see inside Radagon is not the full ring is that in Malakeith arena we see a relief that shows the full elden ring and has a ton of pieces and extra bits that are nowhere to be found in game
I'm betting it was Godefroy who was the one that imprissoned Nial's men, not Godrick. Godrick was a coward that preyed on the weak, and Godefroy was another who was obsessed with grafting, though the only extra bit of lore we get was that he was jailed by a guy. It could be that Godefroy was actually a fearsome conquerer using stolen power, and Godrick is merely a cheap imitation even in that front.
Talking about statues, I find those female statues in the pavillions all around the flooded regions of Liurnia to be very intriguing. You can find Smithing Stones in most of these pavillions too...
You kind of look like Sellen (when she isn't wearing that giant glintstone crown head) and your voice is very soothing to listen to. I just wish you had some gameplay videos. Lore is cool and all, but I feel like having both would be better
Can someone tell me why Ranni had herself killed and why was the simultaneous attack of godwyn the reason the deathmark was only half completed, and why is it that Ranni's flesh perished whilst godwyn's soul did? I understand that Ranni wanted to "cast aside her empyrean flesh" but how is it that she was able to do this with such accuracy? how could she know she would be half-killed?
My best guess is that there is a soul killing and body killing “part” of the rune of death and that Ranni was able to split them up as she is clearly very powerful. She then gave the black knife assassins the soul killing part and used the body killing part when she sensed the other being used. As for why Godwyn, he may have been the easiest/least important to her if she didn’t want to kill her full brothers and Melina and Miquiola are too strong and the Omen twins were hidden away, this is assuming she needed a demi-god to die along with her. Alternatively Ranni could have given the assassins the deathmark and just waited for them to kill somebody and it just happened to be Godwyn, or Godwyn wanted to be killed for some reason and Ranni conspired with him. But ya that’s the best I can come up with
@@andrewlynch4126 Thanks for the response, this makes a lot of sense, but I could more easily see Godwyn being victimized, considering Marika's attempt to revive him in the roots, poisoning them, it all just seems to be a chain of events starting with Marika's removal of the rune of death
Thanks for answering my question! Very awesome insights there!
Thank you so much for your question! Honestly, I did the most research for your topic and I hope it offered a possible explanation to you :)
Radagon’s seal is seen also in almost everyone of the magic school’s sigil
Great video. Id watch more of these for certain. Also thanks for answering my question.
Maybe you know this already, but the giant blistering stone face asset that originally was found in Limgrave, bears the same face as the bald guy statue.
