Japan gets some of the heaviest snow in the world! In February 2022 I headed to the town of Yuzawa in Niigata prefecture to undertake a marathon 48hrs snow measuring challenge during a huge sea effect outbreak. The results blew my mind!

Love the video James! These keep getting better and better!
Thanks so much Marc!! Only way to practice and improve is to keep making more :)
Beautiful video
You should have gone to New York last year. They had something like 80 inches from one storm.
Yes I remember getting annoyed about not being there for it!
Goodness gracious that’s a HEAP of snow 😱!!
They sure are pros at clearing it though.
BTW James, I hope you and your family are safe after the earthquake that happened. As soon as I saw the news I immediately went to your Twitter feed. I hate to hear about it that’s for sure.
Thanks for posting this awesome video.
Thanks for watching and your concern about the quake - thankfully all fine :)
So jealous, wish the UK could have this
Haha can you imagine the chaos!?
@@EarthUncutTV the whole place would collapse the 😂
Great video, James!
Thanks so much Tony!
Wow this is unbelievable. Thx for sharing 😊👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻keep it up , bro
Thanks so much for watching - loads more videos coming soon once typhoon and hurricane seasons starts cranking!
Thanks for sharing 👍. Keep it up
Thanks Peter - some light hearted content before things get serious during storm season!
That was absolutely incredible. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. You film everything so beautifully. Where does it all go the snow go when it melts?
Thanks so much Mandy! All the snow melt helps create an amazing rice crop, the region is famous for it
I feel so conflicted. I hate cold, but I love being surrounded by heavy snowfall. I'll bet that thick of a falling snow muffled the heck out of the surroundings. Was it eerily quiet?
Once away from the wet roads and noise of vehicles it nice and quiet. Not too cold either, just a couple of degrees below freezing.
Hello, My storm hunting fan in the past 2 years due to the covid 19 epidemic, your hurricane hunting work would be interrupted if there was no covid 19 epidemic, your list of storms recorded 2 more intense super storms that are goni and rai 2 typhoon Philippines monster . Now your video is so fresh and good you edit the video very well the snow scene is beautiful . Well done James. Can you make a list of the number of storms you hunt from 2006 to 2020 because I need to compare you and Josh of Icyclone
Hey thanks for the message! Yeah missed a lot of storms due to COVID but that’s now behind me - will be chasing A LOT very soon and making this style of video for my storm chases! Here’s my list of chases from 2005 - 2019! Need to add Maysak, Haishen and that thing I chased on Ishigaki last year (can’t remember name lol) www.earthuncut.tv/media-credits
At least you didn't have friendly ryokan staff this time to clear the snow off your car for those shots😜
Stay in a crappy hotel sometimes has its benefits 😃
Oh my god that is huge, I never knew Japan got that much snow. If this new hurricane hits Mexico will you chase it?
I’m watching it Louie and figuring out feasibility of logistics etc
@@EarthUncutTV ok thank you
Max spadło 1m, mierzysz w zaspach. Po dachach widać,że jest dużo mniej
Nice images !
