Cary, don't be afraid to make these technique videos longer. I think i speak for every one of your subscribers when i say that i wouldn't mind watching 5 minute clips of you going in depth on techniques.
The simplest and greatest take down I ever used, and was my go to was the outside sweep single. Almost like an outside ankle pick works every single time. As your opponent is circling, what ever side he is circling toward, when he places his lead foot down, transferring his wait onto that leg you change levels, step deep and to the outside of his planted foot, with your mirror foot about one half of your arms length out to the side of his planted foot. You simultaneous ratchet forward onto your knee, swinging your trail leg behind and around (outside) as you snatch his planted ankle/foot, lifting it out and away from him as you stand back up from your knee facing the same direction he is facing with his leg in your hands, then return him to the mat for 2 points. It really is much simpler if you see it.
@@seanw.587 Yes absolutely. However when I would use the move, my head would not touch my opponents body and I would be more off to the right and sometimes it would look a bit more like a "Sweep Single Ankle Pick. Or a snatch and grab to a finish." Thanks!
@jacofan157 outside hand "covers the watch", he pulls his own leg up and if opponent is able to sprawl that hand can get straight to a post so you can run the corner and still finish below the hips.
could you make a video or reply to this comment about what types of exercises an workouts(plyometrics, etc.) for explosive power? Thumbs up so cary can see this!
SHOOT! it's a lost art for us big guys. Single leg, double, or the outside single depending on how your built, and your strength level (i.e. being sprawled on but being able to recover with the leg and finish). Another is the pipe series, the key is to never touch your knees to the mat, takes alot of endurance, but no chance for reversal. For ties, the russian is a good one, you can shoot, trip, and basically work any move off of this setup. Those serb's really knew their shit.
Do you think you can do a clinic in long island one day, we had Gene Mills, Tom Ryan, Zeke Jones, and Nate Carr do one and a lot of people went to it, it would be pretty cool if you could do one, one day
When you are grabbing your opponent leg(his left leg),He can post his right leg immediately and using his left as AXIX,pivot on you with his WHOLE WEIGHT on you!
me too luchador1764! i am a first year wrestler who is 11. Cary, at my wrestling practices i read one the posters about u. u need to make longer videos so i can understand ,ore!
fitedude no lol your knees will get injured or hurt badly u could try to do it but change it up a bit because it's a good move but the reason there's a sweep is because of the most commonly used move which is the sprawl but in a street fight no one would sprawl because that's only in wrestling
HevyToy as long as you stay tight, arms and leg to you chest, and your head high you should be okay. If the headlock is applied (guillotine) switch to a double
He's playing like a bear, waiting for you too open up so he can defend and mush you. The only thing you can do is work on a takedown, either alone or with someone else. And just do it till your body learn's the move and it becomes part of you. But, no matter what weight you are you can drill a move with any weight and anyone that is a good drill partner.

How can there be any dislikes? Anyways, I have a question. For a single leg, do you prefer outside or inside hand on top? Does it matter?
I dislike the typical shot and prefer set ups to my takedowns or sweeping.
Russia tie, arm drags, under hooks, etc.

Your opponent can also pass his left arm under your JAW(your left side) and push,in order to take off his heap your neck pressure!

I second that motion. i cant hit a move till i understand the mechanics so go explain all u want.

Use takedowns in a fight
Колено надо ставить сзади его пятки иначе он ногу оттянет
