@@kurtstracka1891It’s helpful for newbies to start out on SCR with 1 oz then work their way down as they get a feel for the bottom. 1 oz and 3/4 oz will catch them just as well as 3/8 oz and much easier to feel bottom especially further north on the river
@baldodoesstuff752 we do start new to this vertical jigging fishermen on 1oz in deeper water. But this video leans twords the advanced fishermen. Trying to not bore and provide a new and not readily used technique

What part of the river where you fishing that you found slack water at? I mean we fish Marysville, and we have to use 1 oz jigs all the time.
There are slack water areas all throughout the river.
We find them in port Huron to algonac. Stay out of the 30'. It exists from 17 feet on in.
