  • Karahan Tepe is a Neolithic settlement located on one of the natural rocks in the Tek Tek Mountains National Park. It dates back to approximately the same time period as Göbekli Tepe.
So far, in the excavations of the settlement area in Karahantepe, data have been obtained for a period of approximately 1000 years, dating back to approximately 9400 BC and 8200 BC. There are quarries on the southern slope where obelisks were quarried. It is thought that there is an area with residential architecture on the eastern slope. T-shaped obelisks were excavated from the limestone plateau in one piece. Evidence of this includes negative traces from mining operations on the plateau and a large T-shaped obelisk that has not yet been excavated from its bed...

Look at those amazing round plates! How did they make them without iron? Everything on this side makes no sense at all-it's impossible!

Karahantepe is a very mystical place. I found it very difficult to leave during my visit there. I'm currently about 300 km away. I can't wait to visit again. It takes the first place on the list of places to see before you die.
