Gday Wayne, leather is an awesome medium to work with, can turn out some decent piece in little time, cost has come up over the years but still much cheaper than buying timber or steel. Mate the paint is the tricky one, lol have thrown out some mutant looking animals that I have done. If I keep it to simple flowers and leaves I can’t get by at it.

Where do you buy your leather and that measuring device you use here?

last lot of leather I got was a full side from Gameco or Artisan supplies. I normally shop around when I an buying to see where I can get the best deal. I can go through a fair bit of leather on Knife sheaths when I have a bunch on order. The tool is a belt end marking template that I am fairly sure was from Tandy leather.
