Thank you for telling this awesome story. I love to hear that a car with so much nostalgic racing history is back in the original family`s hands, the icing on the cake is the car has been lovingly restored to its former glory. Truly a bad ass Mopar.
Great show and story about many people, cars and local tracks I grew up at with my parents and their friends even watched a few race back in the day plus it is still good to see my father's eyes light up as he shares his stories of his life actually knowing several old men who were owners and racers even working on a few cars that were in the woods around paradise dragstrip in Calhoun,GA. Thanks for the memories, keep it up!
I wanted to take a minute to thank you for what you do. It takes me back to my childhood memories all the way from Bakersfield to firebird to Brainard.
Too cool indeed! Without those guys, it's just a 32 from a chicken coop. But 64 years worth of history...wow. Absolutely amazing. Thanks for the awesome video.
I'm probably your father's age being born in February of 58 just wanted to let you know the thrill of these old cars never goes away. I seen you excitement in your paradise dragstrip video looking at old rusty forgotten cars is a high note to true lovers of the automobile. I'm in Lafayette Georgia, nice videos.

At the time of the racer reunion, I never really thought about making a video about this car. I was mainly doing still pictures for magazines at the time. I would definitely like to catch up with the guys (especially Red Stanley) to document some of his stories. He had some WILD times in some of the other gassers that he drove for Robert Nance.
I had the pleasure of seeing this actual car compete at Eagle Field here in California. This venue attracts several barn find vintage style racers from back in the day.
Man, I love this vintage stuff, we can only imagine the stuff we had & let go back when we were younger, it's great for someone like you that has the passion to document the history of these vintage hot rods...what was even better was getting those ole boys together to swap lies(Lol)....keep up the awesome work that you do...God Bless!!!!

Merry Christmas I enjoy your videos I finally bought a shirt price was good shipping was crazy you are the first UA-cam person I've ever purchased from.
Thanks Tony....yeah, I hate those shipping charges. I've reduced the price of the shirt to try and make that not sting quite so badly. I appreciate the support!
My grandfather used to have a black 65 Belair with factory impala interior parts cop car. 327 300horse motor. Uncle blew it up racing and traded the motor for a running 283. Still have the 283 in the barn.
They stopped in 1963 and moved to the current location. The drag strip was turned into the Dallas Bay Skypark after it closed. It's cool to drive by there and think about the drag cars that used to rip up and down the strip.
It needs to be in a museum or somewhere so it never gets taken apart or destroyed.I want a steel three window coupe so bad I'd give my firstborn for one, and don't even have any kids.
You have to bring this to a SEGA event. Please. Put a stock 302 and automatic and drive it a SEGA event. South Eastern Gassers Association. this would be the main spectacle.
It would be a very cool piece for the Southeast Gassers Association. It would need a killer engine and 4 speed transmission....and probably a lot of suspension work. But yes, a historic car like this would certain draw a crowd!
@@HotRodHoarder I gasped when I saw the price, but figured someone like George Poteet carries that much in pocket cash. Good to see that it stayed in one piece as intended.
