I mean apart from the '39 Chevy I'd say the other 2 cars he mentioned prices on are a bit much. I'd say the old Ford is worth 'round $2000 and the Chevy Rot wagon $500.

Tom I’m a car enthusiast and I have a neighbor down by Galveston Texas, actually in San leon Texas, he’s an older man who quiet frankly has a hoarding addiction to many varieties of cars, from old MG models, Jaguars of all ages, Hudson’s, a packard, and studebakers! He’s a real welcoming guy especially if you have car knowledge and if you are ever in Texas he would be an awesome candidate to get some quality film history. I know it’s a long shot but I’ve been watching your barn find series for a very long time and I’d hate to pass on his collection even possibly having a chance to be unveiled by such an awesome and genuine car guru like yourself.

Anti mice contraption used by 4 generations of our family. 5 lbs coffee can or large juice can set on a larger dish pan. Like a steel pie pan . Don't use a flimsy aluminum cheap pie pans . Set a piece of plywood on the passenger floorboard because that has the most room and less likely to accidentally knock the can over.. Place steel pie on top of it . place the coffee can or large juice can in the pie pan open side up . before putting it in the car fill the can about 3 in and the bottom with diesel fuel . I like to use off road diesel which is same as fuel oil be used to burn in the furnaces because of the additional reddish color they put in it and as that color darkens it's a good indication that it's time to change the diesel fuel and put in fresh usually about 1 to 3 years in intervals. be careful when you set it in the pie pan. Leave the windows rolled up and the field mice stay out. The plywood is intended to keep the still pie pan from leaving rust stains. And it catches any accidental spills hopefully. Also a tall can is used to help prevent the pills. It acts as a chimney as well to let the odor and fumes of the diesel fuel out and Float around the car . that's it and air out for a couple of days no longer smell the diesel fuel when you're ready to do something with the car. I have a Dodge Charger perfect example I bought from the original owner somebody got into it took the diesel hand out and then Mouse just tore up the whole interior like nothing I've ever seen, cuz like they were getting revenge! We have used this on hundreds of cars and it has work . no guarantees in life. You can try the snake thing if you like parrot by the way my son uses this idea my grandfather would be 130 years old if he was still with us literally hundreds of cars over the years love the show and would like to find a really good Builder Volkswagen bug for my son floor pan and other typical rust are the major concerns.

That was a 60 Chevy and pretty sure a Bel Air. The 53 Chevy wagon engine was a 235. 1952 was the last year for the 216’s.

Not true. !953 was the last year.Anything with a stick shift came with a 216. All else were 235's.

@@michaeldavis6556 the side cover on a 216 is much longer (top to bottom) than a 235 and covers the spark plugs. It also has solid lifters. A 235's are hydraulic and the side cover begins below the head. The valve cover on a 216 have two bolts through the top of the cover while a 235 has screws all the way around the outside edge.

Mate I drive around outback western Aussie looking for gold, you don't need to tell me drive something old. An original 1966 Holden does the trick here.

I’ve got a 1953 Ford Customline Fordor that I was going to restore upon retirement. It’s not going to happen now. I’d sell it if there’s anyone interested. Original flathead V8 with manual trans with overdrive. Yes I have the title! No I’m not parting it out, wanting to find somebody who’s into restoration of vintage cars.

Hey there's a little town in western Montana called dear lodge and in dear lodge there is the "old Montana state prison" its now a tourist spot where you can tour the prison which has an interesting history but there is also a car museum you can tour at the prison also that has just about every American classic car you can think of and they are all owned by local people that loan them to the prison for people to look at I think it would be a great tour to take but also a great place to get tips about other cars in the area because the cars are all owned by locals
