- Let's explore the markets of Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, in Africa.
After telling you a bit of the History of Zambia and Lusaka, we go to Soweto market where we try some local Zambian food, before heading to a tourist market to buy some souvenirs for my family back in France.

Just got back from Zambia. Got married 2 weeks ago in the Copperbelt. And mtn didn’t let me down so was able to see all the videos. I miss Zambia already but I never bargained. Always paid the price they asked. For an European being there life is so cheap compared to home that I always tip extra. What seems to be small pocket money to us, can make the difference for an entire family and I always love to see people smile. Wonderful people there and I am proud being married to a Zambian woman 😁
Here
1:05 that dap was clean! 👏🏽 😂
Eya mukwai 👌🏾😂😂😂
Those two young ladies in the clothes shop were delightful. I would have bought something purely for their wonderful spirit. Wish we still had shop assistants in the UK like that, where everything is either in plastic or with a bit of card and attached hanger and floor walkers are few and far between. What a wonderful spirit the people you meet have.
They were lying through their teeth what are you talking about?
I have been to Zambia. Ladies are nice, but there are lots of scammers in the streets, especially the guys. Every young man you meet is trying to scam you including taxi drivers. There is severe joblessness and poverty.
@@Accuface2000 well thats pretty obvious but the shop ladies were still fun and Yves got a fair deal (for an admittedly fake but ok product)
what about the treatment of the blind girl?
They just wanted to sell their stuff no pure soul or what ever
The market scene just looks like Gikomba In Kenya. Makes you just think Africa is just one village... and also the two ladies I think they have Kikuyu blood in them because they're really good at convincing someone to purchase something they had no plan of purchasing!
We are Africans, and Africa is our Business
❤
From Makola mkt in Ghana to Oshodi Nigeria to Lusaka's market chaos reigns. Now see why they don't want you in the streets of Rome or Paris?
Time l saw Gikomba in Nairobi compared to our Lusaka Soweto market. Watching from zambia.
I like how this guy is not faking his personality, just being real both nagative and positive ways
The two ladies at the shop understand their assignment so well 🙂😂Wonderful 👏🏾They deserve promotion 😊
Muli Bwangi my African brothers and sisters living in Lusaka and Zambia as a whole.... I last visited Lusaka in the early 90's and was staying in Kabulonge area... I loved every second of my stay there and made many friends in a very short time... Very calm and friendly people, enjoy your stay Brother Yves... Am from Kampala Ugandaaaa.... Let's go guyssss...
Nice
I like the way the guys is good at negotiating. He sold the chief art with a big heart.Very convincing. He got the best selling skills.
25:10 Those ladies are natural salespeople and even in English! So great to see :)
Morning Yve ,,,I feel great when u mention my country kenya"thankyou for making my country kenya 🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪 great again
Impressed by Zambians they have really approved that their country is among of the best English speaking countries...
Mmmm.. I would actually rather they were one of the biggest economies. I am not sure the ability to speak English means anything. I would rather Zambia was like Japan - no English but crazily developed.
Indeed, Africa has to lift its people’s standard of living this century. Coming years are going to be tough economically, socially not to forget the environmental curses. Developed countries have fewer resources and increasingly nationalistic.
What a such slave hangover mindset! China and Japan are way developed without english language and African people like you are busy glorifying english language🤦♀️
You are Still Mentally enslaved if you still think someone is better because they can speak better colonizers language
Check 2:17 💀
I hope when you finally get to South Africa you'll award yourself a King's treat to celebrate your 2+ years journeying all the way from France to Africa. We're here to witness that grand entrance. Go Yves 🇫🇷 🇰🇪 🇰🇪 🇰🇪

Hey kino, first one here. Good job from kenya
Indeed in Zambia we dont have any terrorist threats. We are so peaceful. 98% of adult Zambians have never held a gun. We only see them in movies.
Oh wow, that's a beautiful place, hopefully one day I would make a trips and see that place 😊😊❤,perhaps the trips must be expensive, 😊
Wow,,Yves is equiped with history
Big love from marsabit Kenya
Mambo
Businessmen like Kenyan, watching from Nairobi
Zambia must really be peaceful. No crazy boda boda riders and there're barely guns seen in public. Contrast that with Uganda🤣🤣
You’re right , it’s quiet , safe and peaceful
Too many guns in Uganda.
As a Zambian living abroad. My children know so much about Zambia, because I talk about my beloved nation, all the time! From food comparison, people hospitality, even mannerism is children. It’s a Christian nation, family centred with genuine real NO B/S people! Noise pollution is unheard of, people love it when you try and speak local vernacular. You should visit one day!
Watching from South Africa
Yves, Thank You for sharing the history and taking us around the markets. You my friend are very courageous and your kindness shows.Yves, we all know not to let anyone bite your sausage 😂😂(if you know what I’m talking about) Stay safe and sending hugs from Florida ❤
