- In this video WoodlandsTV sees the return of the Red Squirrel. We meet Becky Priestley from rewilding charity Trees For Life and follow the team as they trap the squirrels, check they are healthy and then take them up to Northern Scotland to be reintroduced. This is just one of the amazing rewilding project runs by Trees for Life, visit their website for more information.

Congratulations on your efforts to help these wonderful squirrels 🐿.

Super
I'm still yet to see a red but it's near the top of my bucket list.
반갑습니다.
영상잘보고갑니다.
좋은영상 감사드립니다.~ 👍
Awesome.
If you ever have trouble catching squirrels, try baiting with the addition of dried fruit.
As a young girl, before I knew better, I rehabilitated a baby grey squirrel when my grandmother's cat killed the mother. Ardillo liked nuts and seeds, but loved raisins and other dried fruit.
We need pine martens, goshawk and lynx to help control grey squirrel.
Great work
Funny. We never had these squirrels in my area of the US ...but have them now for the last 15 years. Don’t mind them but they get into your house and cause a lot of damage.
Different kind of red squirrel.
When I bought my land in Nth Cumbria, I had families of reds living there. Now it's extremely rare to sight one, and the greys are occasionally around. I've shot them when I can, and other land owners are also shooting and trapping but still they come. Unless there's a wider cull and a faster reintroduction of pine martens, I can't see our reds returning.
Well done! I'm so happy to see this work.
Tha feòragan-ruadh ann an iar-thuath na h-Alba a-rithist!
They are undoubtedly adorable, but I cannot forgive them for getting to my hazelnuts and chestnuts before I do.
red and fluffy.
In the US where I live we have a different species of red squirrel that is very aggressive to other squirrels and birds, I personally hate them and kill as many as I can. These Scottish Red Squirrels look like they are the opposite of American ones though.
Yea the Eurasian Red Squirrel are a completely different, selective feeding breed
who is this hater that keeps giving you the dislike
4:12 :: Make sure that you take all those screws out of the trees afterwards, or the sawmill men will have words to say.
Plus the trees will appreciate it.
Imagine you did this to a person, trap them, put a bag over their head, throw them in the back of a van and relocate them against their will. I guess fascism is ok as long as its for a good cause?!
You mean humane pest control to stop the extinction of a native species? You seriously do not care about nature, you are weak-minded.
You really shouldn't be watching videos that aren't suitable for you. Try to make a better choice next time.
Do some research before you write silly things littlun
I thought the exact same thing. And killing grey squirrels... What on earth is the purpose of all that?
@@zeehuss7275 to stop native red going extinct, but some anti-nature people like to protest against this cull
