I tried making my own travel watercolor kit but didn't like it so I just take my sketchbook or iPad!

I tried bringing my sennelier watercolors but my yellow is so liquid it spills. So I switched to my Windsor and Newton Cotman. Which are my favorite student grade paints.

- a helpful tip: take a photo of your sketch before you use the kneaded eraser, so you can reference it if you need to. :D

@@imbored4929 wouldn't it? I'm trying to buy one but am a total newb when it comes to watercolour so have no idea what to look for, how to know the quality etc. Plus I'm unable to work so am on disability and don't have much money so I really don't want to waste it buying a crap set.

@@Littlewings1211 it might be late but I have the daler rowney Aquafine kit (24 colors) and I LOVE IT, the colors are beautiful. I also bought recently the white nights 12 color set and are pretty good too for a semi professional standard, also those are full pans not half pans

I used to watercolour all the time, unfortunately my depression took over and I stopped. My skills will never be as good as before, I'm always exhausted no matter how much i sleep, i stay in my room most of the day.
That's me but instead of quiting watercolor I started watercolor. I don't do it as much as I would like but I try to. Helps keep me sane

Personally, i use the daler rowney set of 18 quarter pans!
They're extra fine paints, so you won't be sacrificing quality, and the palette is tiny ~
It became my favorite palette even though I have a studio palette

her cactus hair reminds me of when a cactus doesn't get enough sun so it stretches out and gets all leggy trying to get closer to the light, but just ends up kinda floppy

My fave is Portable Painter’s empty palette. It comes with 2 water wells and a #4 and #2 brush (duo end). Size of a phone and super to take with. Just add tube colors to the half pans and it is ready to go.

if u live in europe my number one recommendation for beginner watercolor is koh-i-noor. They are super vibrant, pigmented and extremely cheap!

You should do a video testing a ton of different watercolor sets like your eraser video

I have the Windsor & newton cotman watercolour pocket brush set.
I take it everywhere I go, it's smaller than most phones these days which is great.
The stylish shape and smooth, curved edges is one of the reasons I bought it.
It is just such a beautiful pocket set.

If you haven't yet, try the Windsor and Newton travel water colour kit! The brush is tiny as hell but it's foldable, I think I can recall making it into a big one which was cool. But I'm not sure because I lost it as I misplace my stuff all the time-

In my school backpack i always have to had my special pencil case whit pencils , Water colors, eraser, and sharpener, or if minimum a good pencil 😂😂❤️

One of the best travel watercolour kits is to make ur own.
I know a lot of artists recommend filling half pans with Daniel Smith extra fine watercolours in an empty schminke watercolour box. U end up with superb colours and a large mixing pace in a comfy size perfect for travel. All of these are able to be found on Blick art materials website and are much cheaper. Hope u see and maybe try this.
With that kit you could actually make your own palettes featuring the colours you deem are pigmented enough. Good luck creating!

I never used a fineliner to outline before. I do pencil drawings and I just like it to outline with the pencils as well. I mostly use a darker shade of the colour I used in a certain section.
I did buy a fineliner to try out sometimes! But aaaa it's so much more permanent then pencil!

I got a cheap watercolor travel set and just replaced the watercolor in it with some that i actually liked. That’s how I’ve made a bad set into a pretty alright set haha.
