- Here I find myself with a poorly TL 1000s again after a short ride out. It seems the electrical gremlins have been at work again. Watch while I try and figure out whats going on again with the bike ie, no headlights, lumpy running and what I discover.

Yep, new one purchased, seems to be OK at the moment.
Mine blow up last Thursday was running just fine an the it locked up on me. Started up again but has a knocking an the oil is glitter filled sad its currently for sale on Gumtree spares an repairs sad because it was a monster to ride.

Defo my Honda CBR1000f did this quite common on them. Replaced reg rec
Had this on my vfr whilst abroad. Only 3 yrs old and needed a new rectifier/regulator. Was in 2002 and in France. Cost me €600 .. still got receipt. Was a huge chunk then. I don’t mind mechanical issues but electrics👎. My rectifier had overheated and melted some wiring too
Electrics, wizardy in my book. New recifier fitted agin on the TL. I think I need to replac ethe battery though.
It's now the second one I have replaced

Probably cooked battery. Best served with plenty of expletives lol

I have another question for you, does your TL also have a bit of af tick? Mine does, i have adjustet the valves about 4000 km ago, and still the tick tick sound 🤷🏻♂️. Some says it is so, some say it should not tick at all. HELP 🙂
You know TL stands for Ticks Loudly🤣. Yes mine ticks. I think they all tick. Check the TL forums
I have done this, but here in Denmark there is a lot of “i know it all better than all of you” people if you know what i mean 😄. Okay, i will enjoy my TL even more now 😃💪🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
