I would like to do a HUGE shout out to my wife Eli Silva from Boise Idaho. She watched Land of the free 1.0 with me last year. I watched it 3 times by the way. After 27 years of marriage she bought her very 1st hunting license ever. We are currently on our last days of her very 1st elk hunt. So excited to be able to watch an episode of this every night. Also gets me excited to get up early every morning and chase Missouri whitetail! So blessed to be able to do what I love. Lost my right arm a couple years back and found a way to shoot a compound bow with one arm, not using my teeth:). You guys motivate me to push even harder and hit the outdoors harder! Unstoppable!!! I made this recommendation to Corey Jacobsen today and I think it is fitting with your uncut. Next year ya’ll should have a second hand week where all of the gear you use is second hand with a budget. All the “pros” say you don’t have to have the newest, nicest gear but that’s all they use. I’ve got some gear i’d trade!😂

There is nothing that will make a person feel more alive than sitting in the middle of one of God’s most beautiful creations and having a bull elk screaming in your face at 30 yards.👍
What I like most about your videos are the discussions you guys have about what to do next and how to proceed in any given situation. The friendship and banter, the kill shots and crack-ups are awesome; but I learn so much when you guys are faced with the same questions I have while hunting then the decisions you make on how to proceed.

I can’t tell you how much I’m enjoying this year. Wildfires and work have consumed more of my summer and fall than ever before. I literally was able to get out 3 days. So this is giving me a chance to live vicariously through you guys. Good stuff so far excited to see what is yet to come.
Freaking love it! I just started archery hunting last year in southwestern colorado and 4 corners area. My friends and I are navajos and we started a channel Stone Arrow Outdoors. Addicted to watching you guys, inspired by your videos last year me and my brother for first time ever went public over the counter bow hunting for elk in southern Colorado in early to mid September. wasn't successful but called to 3 bulls and one was coming but got our wind, was most exciting thing I've ever done and am hooked. Dirk wasn't kidding when he said stop messing around and go right to the maverick! I waited til the last week of season to switch to my maverick reed and my first time using it I called in my first bull ever!! Wish we could've got an arrow in him but I was so stoked to have the experience and I owe it all to BRO/Phelps/Elk101, thanks so much guys!!!

I do not know a lot about elk calling, but that dude seems like he's a master. If I had a choice, I'd have him calling for me any day!
That just so happens to be Jason Phelps of Phelps's game calls. The other guy is Dirk Durham who is a champion elk caller I believe. This series turned me on to a whole world I never knew existed last year. Corey Jacobson and Rocky Jacobson are some other names to look up. Elk101

Yumm mountain chicken.. never could get the step on the wings method to work for me. But like EP 6- 20 min mark, knowing what the woods can provide and how to interpret what you see all combine to make a better outdoor experience.

liked your comments about gear needed to hunt and not needing the best top of the line gear out there, dont make road blocks for yourself. put together a pack this year for my first backcountry DIY hunt and i had a tent that was 20 years old and ended up leaking,a bunch of old MRE's for food , pack weighed just shy of 70lbs. Didnt get an elk put had a great time and doing it again, with a little changeand update in gear,lol
Forgot how much blow down there is in Colorado, it was bad a few years ago when I was hunting there.

What kind of tips can you guys share for E-Scouting Roosevelt’s? I’m having a difficult time finding places to go on the coast because it’s not your topical find some trees, water, open field etc. when you look it up on ONX it’s just trees, trees and more trees with water everywhere. What kind of tips could you share on how to E-Scout the Oregon Coast. Thanks!

I have the same issue. Good stuff, just hard to watch with the ear splitting bugles being loud, and the voices being quiet.
