    This operation started well and made a lot of sense, but now it is turning to a senseless destruction of properly at some point. Give people time to relocate pls

    I remember when Jamaica start its development in the 70”s and again in the 90’s , the government relocated people who had businesses on government properties, it was the humane thing to do
    The land belonged to the people, government is the people
    We cannot take the property that the colonizers claimed, but we can rip our own people to shreds in the name of development
    Did governments ever contribute to these people in anyway?
    Government of destruction!

What is more necessary I ask: the Nature with trees and gardens or cars? I also watched this sand mining in many villages, destroying the nature. So unclue! WHO can Stop this action???

    The more I watch these videos, the more I feel sorry for these hard working men and women trying to make a living. Napoleon once said "England is a nation of shopkeepers." And that's why he could not conquer them. You destroy people's property, and their loyalty to the country disappears. These small business owners are the backbone of this economy. They do not deserve this; they need help. Where will they find jobs? Where can they relocate? Are they getting compensated by government? How can you wake up one day and lose a D1.5 million business just like that? This is heartbreaking to watch.

  • @Jnimal
    @Jnimal 10 місяців тому

    This work is long overdue. The government could have handled a it better though, especially for those poor hustlers. We also need to ask what authority is responsible for maintaining the roads are protected from illegal encroachment? Is it physical or the GRA? What are they doing with their budget? And would it be better to fund and give powers to get local authorities to prevent this from ever happening and dealt with much promptly. This operation alone costs tax payers and the government millions, which could be better spent.

    I guess no one goes to the planning office when they build. You can't build on government property. They will eventually come and take back their property. That is what everyone does not understand. If you wanted space for a Restaurant deck or a parking lot. You should have made a space on your property not the government. I think they are doing a good job.
