I like how in these matches, there are quite good indicators for what rank someone’s in based on how they play, their combos, and drive usage. When I see a lot of DI, it’s almost always gold, silver and below tend to just press buttons regardless of how they work, plat is very aggressive but with “bad” combos and conversions. diamond players tend to play scared with some pretty okay combos, while the masters and legends aren’t really lacking anywhere. You could determine that legend match based on the Guile’s combos actually, and the way the kim actually prioritized getting her buff. The plat matches can be differentiated from diamond based on how they use DR but not going into certain combos. The Silver and bronze matches, drive was a non-factor. Small tells like this helped enough that I only got the final one wrong, and i was only off because I guessed silver instead of bronze (where i never was).
I loooove this videos, IDom is such a great guy and transmit nice feelings to the viewers when he is happy and not miserable playing the game, the pivot to comentator would be something i would love as a fan :)
I called that Brazilian one so hard. YEARS ago I went over Soul Calibur 6 footage and found out that Brazil plays AGGRESSIVE as living fuck. Sure enough I have high level Brazilian players in different games confirm my assessment through conversations and replay footage.
@@clydu91 It means scrubs in this game get boosted to master without know anything. Watch a diamond game in sf6 and compare that to a silver game in SFV. They're remarkbly similar
I'm a 2-Star Diamond rank player with Guile but I've beaten my share of Master ranks. I can't really level up due to my limited time playing and hardly anyone in the upper ranks opts to fight against a WiFi enjoyer in the Asia region such as myself. Connection speed average is 2 frames and 40 Ms btw.
