We visited Disney World last year and this year and it seemed much busier to us this year. One of the reasons why we went was to support Disney, in addition to seeing St. Augustine, Universal, and Kennedy Space Center. Florida is becoming too much of a communist state, with their Confederate flags, controlling what people can say and read, and controlling women's rights. There is no freedom in Florida, so we see no reason to return, unless we visit Disney again, probably many years from now, when they are no longer harboring the criminal-in-chief.
Disney World was empty on July 4th the Wall Street journal notice and wrote several articles about the plummeting attendance

Some of the Disney kids shows on TV seemed to be inappropriate for kids or teens. You don't go to school to flirt or date. I tell kids to be careful picking these shows as some of it could be bad examples in real life! Please don't treat kids as a commodity, to sell stuff or propaganda!

1. Poorly performing movies are not totally from people boycotting because of identity politics. It’s the quality of the films that are just bad.

No, I am boycotting because they hopped on the LGBTQ and equality train. Also because of the quality. The past Disney movies before this new agenda were fine. But these new movies are so ridiculously bad. The obvious narrative they try to portray will bring less audience.
I agree on the part where you say the parks are too darn expensive for families or anyone. For the same price, I can go on a cruise and have just as much fun as I would at a theme park.
It's also the terrible quality of the audience - the only taste they have is in their mouths. Parks are expensive because this whole country has done everything it could for the rich - the middle class gave the one percent what they wanted out of their own pockets because they believed they would be rich any day. Now they are so bitter. Life is hard, its even harder when youre stupid - John Wayne.

It's interesting that Disney reframed the entire bill in question as the "Don't Say Gay Bill" when the only thing really at stake was parents having a more active role in what they wanted to have taught to their kids. To me that says Disney was in the wrong if they have to so badly misrepresent the bill in that way. Also, where's the free speech violation exactly? Disney can say what they want, they can support what they want. That's not being infringed upon whatsoever. But with that comes taking the consequences of so publically expressing your beliefs. Truth be told, Disney abused its power with its special district. Having special districts isn't that unusual, but usually when it comes to operating a special district every interested party in that district must have a representative to voice and vote. Disney didn't do that. They're currently paying for it. Their going woke and picking these fights have shown in a loss of nearly $900 million over the last four years at the box office. Then taking into account the number of subscribers Disney+ lost and the content that's been pulled from that platform, the losses cross over the $1 Billion mark in just their content alone. Disney World is also seeing attendance drop severely. Bob Iger can come out and say it was the heat and humidity all he wants, but did that stop Universal Studios from seeing an increase in their attendence? No. What makes this year in July worse than other years in July in Florida that people don't want to go to Disney World? Iger's excuses simply don't hold up. Finally, they're losing so much money that practically only the janitors are left at ESPN, not to mention that in the next few months Disney has to come up with an estimate $20 Billion to buy out Comcast's stake in Hulu. None of this had to happen, but whether you like DeSantis or not, he's not the one to blame. That's way too convenient. Bob Iger, as the CEO of Disney, made these stands, green lit the content, and DIsney is losing money hand over fist because of it.
