In this video, I dive deep into the EF ECOFLOW Delta 2 Smart Extra Battery, a powerful addition to the EcoFlow Delta 2 portable power station. If you're considering boosting your power capacity for home backup, camping, or off-grid adventures, this review is a must-watch. Here’s an in-depth look at what you can expect from this robust expansion battery.
First, we cover the impressive capacity upgrade. By adding this extra battery to your Delta 2 unit, you effectively double the storage capacity to 2048Wh. This means more power for longer periods, which is essential for anyone relying on portable power solutions for extended use or during emergencies.
One of the most remarkable features of the Delta 2 Smart Extra Battery is its durability. Utilizing LiFePO4 battery chemistry, it boasts over 3000 cycles, promising years of regular use. This long-lasting efficiency makes it a great investment for anyone looking to future-proof their power needs.
Charging the battery is a breeze with its versatile options. Whether you prefer using AC outlets, car outlets, solar panels, or the EcoFlow Smart Generator, you can quickly get it back to full power. Notably, the fast-charging capability stands out, allowing you to charge from 0-80% in just 80 minutes. This speed ensures you’re never without power for long.
The video also highlights the user-friendly design of the battery. With an onboard LCD screen and the intuitive EcoFlow app, monitoring and controlling the battery has never been easier. You can check the remaining charge, estimated hours left at the current output, and other vital statistics, all at your fingertips.
However, we also discuss a minor drawback-the stiff and cumbersome connection cable. While this doesn’t affect the performance, it does limit positioning flexibility, which might be a consideration for those with limited space.
Throughout the video, I provide detailed demonstrations of setting up the extra battery, connecting it to the Delta 2, and monitoring its performance. You'll see firsthand how it handles different charging methods and powers various appliances.
If you’re on the fence about enhancing your Delta 2 setup, this video will provide all the insights you need to make an informed decision. I think you can charge the spare battery by itself with the DC to DC alternator charger now👍

It’s 3000 cycles till the battery starts to degrade where you can only charge it up to like 90 or 80 % but that’s really good life span and most people probably won’t get close to 3000 cycles.

I have the Delta2 and remedied that problem by getting a 12 volt LIPO4 104ah battery and a 600 watt pure sine wave inverter (pure sine wave is a must for it to work) and i switch between solar my vehicle or any method you prefer to charge by on ac but the 600w psw inverter charges my Delta2 by itself at 580 watts which for me is great

Great short informative review! Quick question i cannot seem to find anywhere, does the extended battery also boost the AC output running power from 1800w to say 2400w like the delta 2max level?

Was wondering, why the extra battery and not just buy another Delta 2 ???

Precisely. 😂 The only real incentive is that the extra battery is cheaper. Although then the lack of ports and no way of charging it alone just is a big reason to avoid it.

Can Delta 2 be connected as an extra battery?

@@nicolasdomovoy Not to extra battery port on side. It can be connected via the 12V cigarette lighter port and the 24V ports to charge from each other. But I find it better and faster to charge them separately. The Delta smart 2 Extra battery can also be charged on its own, directly via the Ecoflow 800W alternator charger.
