For this video, I’ll show you guys how to play GameBoy & GameBoy Color ROM’s on any R4 Flash Card! This works for every Nintendo DS Console that supports R4 cards.

Just too let everyone know, this emulator DOES work with ROM hacks/fan games. I played Pokemon Prism on this.

I looked up on your vid regarding the GBA ones, the only problem is that not all games can be played, I downloaded several games and only pokemon sapphire worked. There was also problems with regards to the sound and display but thats the game that only worked.

Is it has problem with save on Pokemon Game (Press Start button, then choose Save)??
you have to use your LR (Right Trigger) and then choose "State Slot 0" and then "Save." You can then load that save file when you hit LR (Right Trigger) and then choose "Save Slot 0" and then "Load."
You have to remember that these R4 cards do not have a save battery in them and do not save the way that gameboy game cartridges work. Therefore, you have to use the Emulator's way to save.

Does it save the game progress?
The gameboy has an L/R keys, if I'm playing a game and press R it shows the emulation menu and doesn't do what the R key does in the game. Right???
original gameboy and gameboy colour games don't have R and L buttons

Ty man, I have a question how to expand the screen? ( in dsi xl)
it should be the same once in the game press the l and r buttons at the same time keep on going through the menus and see for an option called scaling then go to the option and move your d pad to the right and after a few try's it should be full screen
Edit: Also if you want on the bottom screen just press the A button at the beginning instead of the B button and follow the rest the same

is this emulator only compatible with the original r4 flash card? because i bought an r4 that i felt was original, but it is fake and i was unable to emulate, does this emulator work on nintendo ds lite?

I got 2 R4 cards, but 1 isn’t working at all, it can’t write it, is this a glitch or is it something to do with the card
maarten houtzager it must be your SD card. I had a fake SD card and it didn't run games. U should buy a Sony SD card

@@firstnamelastname6118 unfortunately, no! The DS has a GBA chip that runs GBA games, but it doesn't have a GBC one 💔.
The GBA does have that GBC chip!
So, the only way to play GBC games on the DS is via emulation with the R4.

How can you do this to play a GBA game?
tech james has a vid but it's very decieving the only game I actually play on it is wario ware inc also you have to do do more research but I'll tell you how to get it working you go to the menu and what not click on the .gba or .mb rom then click on gbafile then press b and a,a,a,a,a,a and scroll down to advirsoundsc make sure it says sc at the end volume doesn't work and also to save press the Y button a few times. Also I put the exact amount of times to press the A button

It cant play gba game bro cause i transfered a gbc and a gba rom but on this emulator the gbc is visible but it doesn't shows the gba game
@@j4rock966 I've just figured out that the file extension of the gba rom needs to be changed to '.gb' for it to be read by the emulator.

J4 Rock96 hit a wall, it shows as loading, and has the bar but then it goes black and flashes back to the rom selection screen :(
@@user-cq5ro6rd1r actually the problem is that u need an expansion pack in ds or dsi so that the games could work

I know that this has nothing to do with your video, but how does your r4 files boot up? Mine says ‘Can’t open_dsmenu.dat’
