Please like and share the video if you found value!
Omg!! I literally discovered her earlier today on TikTok because, my plant is dying and I saw her page, I fell in love with the space she’s created for her son as well. She seemed like a wholesome person.
As a fellow creative, im quite impressed by the Tools and Courses you listed, i can confirm that its a comprehensive list of everything you need to start as a UI/UX expert.
I wanted to add that Red & Yellow is a perfect school to study from. It has a UCD advanced Diploma course, they are really hands on. You can get an advanced Diploma within a year if you’re studying full time and two years if you’re studying part time. The fees are a chunk of money but you could look into bursaries for that. Lastly you get briefs/projects with actual clients, which you could use the content to create your portfolio. All the best.
I did my digital marketing course 10 years ago and they were very hands on even then. I highly recommend them. You will.learn from someone who worked on a Red Bull., BMW, Woolworths etc campaign.
@@amanda_n7554 hey I’m good, I hope you’re well too. It is indeed expensive, but look for bursaries. They also have an install payment plan, so around 3K each month for two years, or around 6k per month for one year depending if you’re full or part time studying.
Hi Boni/Nkhensani ✨ Thank you for an informative video. Could you please share few of the agencies you were referring to that are good for someone who’s starting out in this industry. Thank you.
Please ask her if she doesn’t want an inter straight out of college that is a graphic designer and can do also ui and ux That was very informative that is a lot for this videos
Hey, I’m not currently looking at the moment. Please definitely reach out to digital agencies. I know they are always looking for interns 💚 and it’s a great space to learn
"Easily" taking home R100K per month🤔?! In UI/UX? Not that I'm doubting the possibility of that but I'll have to see a payslip to be sold on that claim, even as management.
Obviously this is taking experience and the (size of) company you work for into account. 100k is nothing once you know the ropes, know your worth and great at negotiating.
With her level of experience. I presume that she's at a Senior level. The salary for UX designers in SA that are at a senior level can range around 80K to 90K. Obviously, dependent on various factors like which company they work for and how good they are at their job. So I have little doubt that she earns that much. She may also be accounting for her Freelance earnings. Not just her salary.
I'm considering using ux design institute which offers a 6months diploma and also helps build a portfolio as well provide university accreditation. Please advise 🙂
@@yolandeisaacs7632The hats she is referring to are the three roles she is juggling. Mainly the User Experience, User Interface and Gamification roles. Hope that answers your question.

Finally! A South African version of ux design🥳🥳
Yes!
It’s such an exciting and growing space to be in. 💚
Oh damn! A career I want to switch into. Am currently a qualified Graphic Designer, I hear my design experiences will come in handy in UX/UI industry.
Nice
Yes it definitely will and it will make it an easier transition, just get a few courses under your belt
Yes it will, but start thinking of solving what's around you. UX/UI is about designing solutions for humans. Making their experience pleasant.
This will make your portfolio stand out
@@Nkhensani.Rikhotso Thank you Nkhensani.

Do you have any specific website or platforms for bursaries for post graduates?

Google ad or marketing agencies. We cant mention companies.

🥰
Yes reach out to consulting companies. Usually big corporates do not hire juniors but they run graduate programs.
This has really been interesting. As someone who has a degree in Psychology and experience with research, how can I pivot into UX/UI?
Inspirational!!🔥❤️

Cap , tenders involved

Do it! You won’t regret it. I’ve been doing this for so many years and it feels like I’m always learning 💚
Yes yes yes 🎉
If possible can she please post the job post because some us we have portfolios in this field but no jobs
Nice 1😅❤❤
its not a lie on what she takes home ___ my previous UX Manager takes 155k+ (1/2M per year)
🙏
I'm considering using ux design institute which offers a 6months diploma and also helps build a portfolio as well provide university accreditation. Please advise 🙂
Advice on what?
Red and Yellow offers an UX/UI diploma full time for 1 year and part time for 2 years
How do I get hold of Khensani?
She will respond
I see red and yellow offers 10 weeks course for 13k, is 10 weeks enough and is it worth it as someone changing lanes from graphic design?
I personally like Red and Yellow but I cant say for sure what is enough for UXDesign, our guest learnt everything on UA-cam.
Owk, if I learn everything on UA-cam and building up a world class portfolio plus get certified, will that make me employable?
Yoh what are these hats
What hats?
@liferesetwithboni khensani said she is wearing many hats. Which I loved hearing. She is a natural all rounder
@@yolandeisaacs7632The hats she is referring to are the three roles she is juggling. Mainly the User Experience, User Interface and Gamification roles. Hope that answers your question.
