After your last Gdragon listening party I realized I didn't own the one of a kind album (on itunes) so I purchased it especially for the Missing you and Today.
GD said that he didn't think the flow of the album for this one, bc people choose few songs they like and listen to them on repeat in their own order anyway. So he just chose songs he liked best and put them together. Rosè was 16 and just a trainee when this was published and he wasn't allowed to tell her name or anything. GD chose her for her voice. I think that was pretty much all he said about the song when this was released, he was just talking about this trainee girl that is really good.
@@maychid999 actually GD never promoted Rosé, when this song came out he didn't reveal the name of the trainee who sang it, Rosé was officially credited only AFTER she debuted with blackpink in 2016, and also, when this song came out, Rosé was a recent trainee because she had just arrived in korea, it wasn't decided yet if she was going to be part of Blackpink, so he definitely didn't promote Blackpink with this song.

Tablo had a scandal where he said he got a degree from US university in some years I don’t exactly remember but knets thought it was impossible to do that and abused him a lot. It was so much that epic high had to leave their company too, later PSY invited epic high to YG and the song is kinda diss on the Korean netizens who turn their back and abuses the artists. I definitely agree about the title track it is so hard to choose a title track, not only in this one but in all GD albums as you will discover. It goes: 1. BTS Love Yourself World Tour 2019 with 62 concerts and 1.04 million tickets sold BTS EXTENSION TOUR Love Yourself and Speak Yourself 2019 with 20 concerts and approx 980,000 tickets sold. Total of combined tour and extention was 82 concerts and approx. 1.98 million to 2 million tickets sold. 2. BIGBANG MADE World Tour 2016 with 66 concerts and 1.5 million tickets sold 3. BIGBANG ALIVE world tour 2013 800,000 tickets sold 4. EXO Planet World Tour 2016 740,000 tickets sold 5. (GD) Kwon Ji-yong Act III: Motte World Tour 2017 654,000 + tickets sold TVXQ, BIGBANG and Rain had some higher selling asian tours. She was a trainee at the time and I think she was in the video for the modeling experience (MV appearances, even if there is a story, is considered "modeling" in Korea for some reason - probably having to do with labor laws). So Epik High joining YG is actually a very interesting story. Back in the day Tablo went through some major controversy. I really couldn't explain what all happened without writing a huge wall of text but if you're interested in learning about it, there's actually a podcast about it called Authentic: The Story Of Tablo. Just know that it was a very devastating time in his life where the Korean public largely turned on him for what you'll learn was no good reason and as a result of that either Epik high ended up being dropped by their label or they left bc of how bad they were being perceived ( i dont remember which it was). During that time, Tablo's wife who is an actress was signed to YG, and he's said that despite the fact that he had no real affiliation with the company, YG would send a car out for Tablo to take him places when he needed without him even asking. That touched him so much that it ultimately was what made him decide to join the company. The fact that they were being so kind to him when sooooo many ppl had done the opposite during that time. I believe Tablo actually signed by himself first and released his first solo album under YG which features Taeyang in the song No Tomorrow. I took that collaboration as a way of properly introducing Tablo as part of YG. Epik High signed as a group to YG as well not too long after. I think the Light It Up feature kind of came about bc GD really wanted him on the track and asked him. Taeyang is also featured on Epik High's song called Rich (which I love love love.
