Modified mine to cover the bottle holder and added a scotty mount and pad eyes with tethers for gear. The bow of the boat is my dogs seat. I made a pad for him with yoga mat and a pvc frame. My fish bag goes in the back. The dry hatch is not the place for a fish bag. I covered the hole behind the seat using a cutting board and added a screw on hatch lid for dry storage. Also used workout mats with jigsaw puzzle edges for flooring. Pvc glue works great to hold it together. I have a pescador 12, tarpon 140, old town vapor 10 , and the eagle talon, all customized in some way. Love them all.
Just bought a used one in great shape today. My very first kayak. I recently moved onto a lakeshore, so I am anxious to get some operating time then start fishing it.
Hey Dale. Yes here's the Amazon link. Just know, you should add a section of milk crate or some sort of protection against the metal of the seat on the plastic of the kayak. Otherwise, it will gouge a hole in the boat. www.amazon.com/dp/B07RBCJJFL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_HND6VRF43JM61ZCXBK0P?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
They were available back when I uploaded this video. Seems to be out of stock at the moment though. This is common right now across all manufacturers due to supply chain issues and a plastics shortage. I found mine used so definitely check that avenue.
@@fincenzofishing7963 k just wondering. I wanted to get into kayaking an I'm a big boy. An these are the cheapest kayaks Ives seen that can handle a good bit of weight
Sure. It seems that they are no longer available but they got the job done. www.amazon.com/dp/B00K6LC89Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_ZHE2YYEBG9WPHBMF0KJ0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I'm 180lbs and take these kayaks camping and I've been very impressed with its weight limit and storage space. Fully loaded for the weekend, non-ultralight gear, and a huge cooler, I've still never had a problem with it's handling or staying afloat. The trade off is that it's a little heavy at 65ish pounds but IMO worth it if you want the stability and huge amounts of dry storage within the yak. If you have any other questions just let me know!

Love the idea of the milk crate under the seat. I've been trying different things with the seat I bought and I'm going to give that a shot.
Nice. Hope it works out!
Why the “avoid it? On the thumb nail. The review was generally positive.
My Pelican have very sill rod holder placement. I glued a pice of PVC pipe in it, turned it towards the seat, and got a clamp for my fish finder.

How much did you pay for yours? I found 2 local and I was thinking about picking them up
$400
What is the name of the phone mount?
I’ve had this kayak for years. Want to change to a stadium seat. Do you recall what seat you used?

What kayak did you upgrade to after this one?
Can you stand and pole it for sight fishing?
I think many people could. I never had an issue standing in it.
Nice set up. Do you recall where you got the replacement foot pedals?
Sure. It seems that they are no longer available but they got the job done.

Google is telling me is 400 lbs. Be sure to also factor your gear as well. Hope that helps!

We’re you able to stand up in it? I’m 5 foot 10 175 for reference.
Yes I was. I'm 5' 9" 160lbs and was fine. I wouldn't try walking or turning much while standing compared to say a Vibe or Bonafide but it can be done.
I stand up and fish in it a bit in this video... ua-cam.com/video/h-qA5NlFNSo/v-deo.html
Yes, nice but absolutely no support from F&S or Dicks Sporting Goods!
Man, that is frustrating! Really sorry to hear that.
