I think that the bottom line about airfare with NCL is buyer beware. What you want, and what's best for NCL are not usually the same thing. It's possible to have what you want, but you are not likely to get it. Once ticketed, it is set in stone and all of the complaining in the world won't change it. I usually cruise solo, so most of the time I handle my own air travel. The FAS air offer doesn't apply to solo travel. Great video content!

Cruise line programs can be tricky and they never make it easy. I have always budgeted for travel insurance so I don't have to loose my shirt when things end up falling apart. This next trip going to Iceland. Delta has already changed my flights twice and my cruise is not until June. Wish me luck.

I think NCL has made changes to the shopping cart after the bad press last year. For the last few cruises where I've been booking excursions, if we were still looking at excursions, the cart expired and everything was removed after 15 min. It still a good idea to make sure your cart is empty (paid or deleted) before you leave the web site.
That's good. Although NCL states shore excursions isn't an item that triggers auto cancellation, I have had stories where a balance was left if not paid right way. Glad to hear IT is addressing this.
hi! how r u? Just wanted to let u know that I just had a first hand experience with the offer to upgrade the Bogo Air. This is weird, since the email wanted me to pay $300 just to try to lock in the flight times, however there was no guarantee that my bid would be accepted and the flight home from Seattle was actually too late, 9:40pm. at day 109, I received the non stop flights, NYC-SEA and my return flight was 1:36pm! I almost wasted $300 to get the late flight home! Makes no sense.

I received that email about that $150 scam and ignored it. I'm not sure if that is the reason that they decided to punish me. I just received my air confirmation for my flights. They have me flying in the day before my cruise at 6:00AM and arriving at 8:00AM. The trouble with that is that I can't get into my hotel until the afternoon. On my return flight home, on the day of the return, they stuck me on a flight that doesn't take off until 11:50PM, stranding me at the airport for over 12 hours.

I don’t think you were punished. It sounds like what a lot of people tend to get. Those are the cheaper flights probably. And the red eye sounds like you are flying from the west coast? They usually do the red eye for across the country. Perhaps your hotel can hold your luggage while you get a bite somewhere or accept an earlier check in. The day you leave maybe consider doing a tour before you head to the airport. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.

It doesn't say you can't on their website. But that is something the cabin steward can bring you along with a wine glass. You did pay for the corkage fee. Might as well use their cork screw too : )

@@grabyourbags-travel no I probably wouldn’t be paying the corkage fee because it doesn’t apply if you have the drink package, NCL almost always offers a free drink package. I just don’t like to bother the Stewart for every little thing.
Hi at the end when you say they can cancel your reservation, does that mean the entire cruise or the item that you haven't paid for? Thanks for an informative video.
@@AlexMcDougallPhotography hi Alex, on the items I mentioned, they can and have cancelled the whole reservation which is why you need to be careful if you are going to add things after final payment. I posted a list of items that they say do not trigger auto cancellation, but I would be careful as to whatever you book after final. Glad you found it helpful. And thank you for subscribing! Hmmm the airfare information you provided is NOT TRUE. We chose our dates, and departure with our airfare package.
Then you didn’t use the free air program. You can do all those things you’ve mentioned but not within their air program. The terms and conditions shows you that what I said is true.

Same with us. We choose our dates and departure. So far so good everything went well with our NCL airfare bookings..
