20-year-old Kostyuk defeated Adelaide's 2022 finalist.
Her game is practically versatile so she has the arsenal to compete with the best player. good luck Marta!

Marta is in amazing form, just by watching her body you can tell her preseason was very good, she looks stronger and lighter, she might be a contender if she is able to manage her mind and emotions because physically she looks super ready
agree. solid body. quick and light but strong and powerful
I never knew Kostyuk was a fantastic counter-striker made it too much for Rybakina. I'm now a fan, I hope Kostyuk improve more on her counters ❤️❤️❤️
Its hard to even tell if Rybakina even cares sometimes. I'm all for the poker face but some indicator would be nice.
@@blond2282 typical Russian don't smile because in their culture, it's an indicative of a stupid or crazy person.
Marta will break through this year! She certainly has the game. Yastremska as well.
Big fan of both these players, and happy for Marta. Hope she goes further.
Great match. Two big hitters of the ball.
Who forgot to tell Rybakina that Kostyuk is on her high level moment of the season (Australia swing) every year the same she plays like that in Australia the problem is to maintain it the rest of season. Jokes (not too jokes) aside anyone on this tour could beat Rybakina today not even her service was working. But we keep on rooting...
I’m not as convinced by Rybakina as others. She has a great serve and ground strokes but not a lot of versatility and hasn’t got the best competitor mindset on tour. She often looks very flat if she’s not near her best. I’ve also noticed Kostyuk frequently starting off the season well and falling away, Kostyuk has such a complete game it’s just a shame her mentality doesn’t show up consistently at all.
Be fair, Kostyuk didn't manage to maintain her form from the start of last year because her home country was invaded.
@@andrewmark2783 you nailed it.
@@andrewmark2783 what about 2020, 2018 other years she broke through early in Australia and couldn’t keep it up? Last year is totally understanding but that doesn’t change the fact she’s struggled after Australia in other years.
@@samisankey3104 She was only 16 and 18 in those respective years. Very few players are consistently successful at that age. She did, however, have success towards the end of 2020, where she won an ITF event and made the third round at the US Open, pushing Naomi Osaka to 3 sets. Had Ukraine not been invaded last year, I think she'd have had her breakthrough year.
When Elena’s serve does not work, she has a high chance to lose that match 😢😢😢 Practice more and come back stronger next week ❤
good analysis, friend. We can be friends?
Vamos Marta sigue así hasta el final
Brawo Marta!
Man, I felt like Kostyuk could get the win here, but you still have to go out and execute. Well done. Good confidence boost for her early in the season.
Super!!!
Good battle. I want to see Rybakina more consistent with her wins though. Good effort by Marta.
Well done marta
I'm glad Kostyuk is coming around. I recall she seemed to rush things before. But now she's playing better measured and taking her time in points and she changed her racquet from a 16x20 to a 16x18 recently. Sorry for Rybakina where often I rooted for her too. At least she seems healthy and uninjured.
Im gonna be watching her for AO...we always get random winners so you never know. She has that invincible aura that everyone has before they win or contend for a slam...fit, strong, everything working including luck.
Wonderful 😊
Well done Kostyuk!
kostyuk can be n1. she has a great game. she just needs to be consistent
Good
Awesome job, Marta💙💛
Wow
Rybakina, if you watched her in the World Team Tennis match-up, haven't found her groove and it seemingly persist until here
Might be a tough Aussie swing for her but we'll see
Er support ❤ 💙
It's not shocking, everyone knows Kostyuk can play. Still, Rybakina's results usually come down to her first serve percentage more than anything, and she didn't have it in this one.
MK ❤
Marta , muy Bonita muchacha,… 🙏👍👏✌️😎
Anyone know why Nike dropped Kostyuk? She's still young & plays well. Hopefully she gets a sponsor soon.
Kostiuk played well and Rybakina was not there . Maybe she was feeling more pressure due to the fact that Kostiuk is Ukrainian ? Well Rybakina still have some mental progress to achieve ...
Honestly thought there was no way Rybakina loses this but yeah
The Ukrainian must be very proud of herself for winning this match. Congrats 😀
Definitely. Would be proud to beat a russian if i were her.
@@black.cake1 I would say that’s how she won
Rybakins is a Shame to Russian, thanks God she change her nationality
I dont want to be disrespectful but am i the only one who thinks Marta is so hot!!!?? Shes like the new kournakova
Brava Marta!
Mustard after dinner as we use to say in Poland.
beau girls~
Maybe Kostyuk had that extra motivation in beating Rybakina because she’s actually Russian not khazak.😂
Kazakh not khazak, goofy
Sei moskal?
Gratuluje. Rybakina dala rade Idze , a Iga z Marta wygrywala , z kolei Marta wygrywa z Rybakina . Kolo się zamyka.
Tenis, to też jakby maraton- caly sezon grasz i ile ugrasz to wyznacznik twej siły i jakości.
Please provide more information.
Kostyuk had the extra fire because Rybakina is Russian. I saw the result miles away.
Really good win! Contrats 🇺🇦
Marta, genual los saques. Respuestaa la Sra. Elena Ribakina. Tennis femenino Australia open. 2023.

slava ukraini 🇺🇦
When will tennis get rid of the umpire podium stand chair. It blocks the court from half the spectators. Dumbest thing about tennis imo
A te piaciono i russi?
Rybakina so hot
Terrible highlights
Slava Ukraini!
Rybakina has the lowest self esteem in WTA tour. She has that, come and beat me face. Poor girl.
Long live Russia!
Go Marta go. Bye bye to a fake Kazak.
@@nv9064 she is a mediocre player at best who got lucky like raducant. No respect for russians.
@@black.cake1 Why so much hater?!!
@@black.cake1 Just glad Kostyuk wasn't crying for once.
Yes, she's a fifth columnist.
@@nv9064 is that some kind of an achievent? Collins is a so and so player. No one outstanding.
I would close the whole school down and require the proffessors to be held accountable as far as the curriculium they teach and the policies they enforce.
I would demand students obtain a study guide along with their syllabus for any kind of Federal funding
Let me get some of those damn socks please
Elena is just playing easy to prepare for the big events.
I guess I'm fine with Rybakina getting good practice. I recall during the first covid year she had a great early season making it to a lot of finals. But she doesn't need to always burnout at these smaller tournaments maybe. And she's tall frame on the court and could use more muscle, and sometimes it's worrying where I hope she stays uninjured.
Hey um hi this isnt a library so its 10 bucks to browse..
It seems like they are..
Marta Kostyuk was nothing more than awesome. After losing the 1st set in a tiebreak, she came roaring back and won the match in 3 sets. In second and third set she dominated Rybakina and proved that she is still the better one even after five years since they last played one another. Marta Kostyuk proved why she is 2017 Australian Open Girls champion. Her fighting spirit and incredible consistency paid off for her. She also proved that Rybakina isn't as good as most fans thought.
If marta plays like this even iga could lose 😂🤣 like iga is not better like her fans thinks😂🤣
@@krishnakumar2390 Iga Swiatek is the best player on the planet. In fact she in United Cup didn't lose even 1 set, plus she in mixed doubles also never lost even 1 set. You just are angry, because Iga Swiatek is getting more and more successful. You simply are angry behind the keyboard.
@@einarsd4 u said the same thing on the previous United cup like tournament, that she's not dropping a set or sweat, we all know rybakina kicked her ass. Again saying even if ur iga wins 10 slams she cannot be compared with rena Venus Sharapova era. 😂🤣
@@krishnakumar2390 Keep on believing to your nonsense, clown. That tournament was different. The fact that even Kostyuk defeated Rybakina proves my point. Rybakina only won that match against Swiatek only because it was exhibition tournament. It wasn't United Cup, you dumbass. As long as points are at stake, Rybakina is weak. She never was on Iga's level. Neither Maria Sharapova was. You are stupid beyond belief. I already millions of times debunked your weak comments.
@@einarsd4 you debunked nothing but urself by proving ur downright idiocy without stats and facts, all ur comments were based on ur own individual opinions😂🤣 how can I forget that u finally concluded ur argument for the previous post saying that the racket was the reason for serena era players success 😂🤣 and the same for this era players winnings too😂🤣
