Petra's shot making is amazing.
Kvitova playing very solid tennis, similar to the start of 2019. Pegula & Rybakina knocked out in straight sets, and she looks like she's enjoying her time on court in this later stage of her career. A relaxed, free-flowing Petra can literally beat anyone... watch out 2023!
Kvitova deserved another Slam. Or why not more? She's in good form for AO, and always a threat at Wimbledon. I hope she stays healthy this season.

As Kvitova is my all-time favorite female tennis 🎾 player I was so worried about this encounter but she is moving WAY better than those past months, she seems more FRESH and energetic.

Petra Kvitova played amazing. She never faced any break point in this match, which shows how good Petra Kvitova is. Her experience advantage over Rybakina paid off for her. Elena Rybakina too wasn't bad, but Kvitova simply was far too good for her. Petra's patience paid off for her big time. If she will keep this up, she might win this tournament. She played awesome. So much consistency in her performance today. Congratulations Petra Kvitova on winning this match.

Nice win for Kvitova vs a high quality player like Rybakina.
I believe Rybakina will win a couple more grand slams in her career, but the way she plays gives her zero chance of ever being world number 1, because she is way too Inconsistent. Plus her size means she isn't the best mover, and in this hyper-athletic field there is a clear ceiling on what she can accomplish.
