Omg I’ve found my inspiration your what I aspire to become in the future ❤I’m predicted 7s in science and want to pursue dentistry because I feel like it’s so worth everything! Thank you siss I hope I don’t give up 😅
@@rosiieox6842I want to pursue dentistry too but I’m worried about not getting 8 in biology and chemistry. But after more research I realised other unis don’t have the requirement of 8 for biology and chemistry for dentistry. So don’t worry x
Hi Sola!! I literally love your videos and as a dentistry aspirant this video is so useful! I'm still motivated to do dentistry and I received my GCSE results : I got 999999986, the 6 I'm hoping to appeal because I'm not happy with it : even if it stays a 6 do you think it will affect my chances of getting into KCL, my dream uni for dentistry?
The GCSE requirements for KCL dentistry is a 6 in Maths & English, so your grades are perfectly fine! Congrats on getting such great grades, you should be proud of yourself, don't worry! x
I was talking more about tech jobs such as computer science. I don't know the specifics unfortunately, so you'll have to do your research on them, there's plenty of resources on tiktok & Google!
Most universities ask for 6 in English Lang and 6 in maths. When it comes to a levels it depends on the Uni. You would also need biology and chemistry, and again, it depends on the sixth from or college you’re applying too! For my school for example, you need 7’s and 6’s
If you are planning on doing dentistry mainly because of “how high it pays”, I wouldn’t recommend it. You could work a corporate job which would pay higher with a lot less stress in terms of no patient demand, less likely for things to go wrong, etc
@@SmileWithSola oh yeah I just got my results all 8s and 9s , one 7 , I just wanted to say thanks for your videos before the exams and I’m hoping to get a general idea of what career I want to pursue hence the question also lastly what kind of corporate jobs preferably not accounting pay *that* well first year
@@camalex7782 Congrats on your grades, you did amazing! 🥳🥳 I don’t have much knowledge on corporate jobs unfortunately so I’m not the best person to ask for that, but there’s plenty of resources on tiktok and google. Best of luck with your studies!
Dentistry is easily one of the hardest careers period. Dental school is easy compared to the stress of actually being a dentist. I would highly recommend any young person to do another career. I respect you ladies for sharing the truth. The reality is you two still have no idea how truly hard it is...own your own dental clinic/office and you will have much more idea how truly hard it is. It's a brutal career.
It’s too late for my 17 year old brother. He got accepted to accelerated pre dental at UOP and UC Berkeley. He’s leaning towards UOP because it will benefit his future.
What career do you recommend? My uncle is a dentist for 20+ years and he truly loves it. He can’t stop talking about dentistry. All his 4 children are following his footsteps. I guess he convinced my brother to get into that profession too. Lol
@0seunggf very true. No doubt about that. But just like each career has its pros and cons, dentistry has an array of challenges that are so much more vast and I would say significantly more difficult than many other challenges you find in other careers. But of course, one in the less stressful career doesn't realize it's far less stressful than dentistry because how can one know, what they do not know. Just as I can not be 100% certain that dentistry is one of the most challenging careers one can take on...but I have thought about this topic very in depth, and inquired and observed many other friends, family and acquaintances about their careers and of course spoken with many other dentists as well. And I am confident it is one of the most difficult careers for a multitude of reasons.
this was so helpful! thank you :)

Everything is laid out for you in lectures. A lot of the concepts are easy to understand but it's just a lot of content to memorise
when u said there are courses paying higher for less stress which courses do you mean ?also are they in medicine ?

Hi Sola! Out of interest, do orthodontists get paid well?
Hi Maurice, yes they do get paid well! However, you have to do an additional 3 years of training and pay about 18,000 per year.
@@SmileWithSola Also which is better and pays more, working in a dental practice or dental core training?
Good video) we can raise density together
$1700??? Per month??
