Same with me, my parents don't really push me but I push myself.

Well sad... But here is another point, I want to show you, the way the system is today, only the richest kids have a chance to play.... And I want to say one more thing, the rich kids are not the better ones (sorry for the richest parents), not for soccer, maybe for golf or baseball... Look, I'm Brazilian and I'll tell you, I could arrange a game with a 3rd division league in Sao Paulo, that would beat as a hell the USMNT.... So I want no trouble and I don't want to be mean or disrespectful.... The only thing I know is that my daughter (she's American) plays really good and smart, and no one has ever taught her how to play, but my point is, she can't play because we can't afford the soccer club and because we don't have money, her talent is being taken away from her.... In the ''club'' they have 17-18 sometimes 22 players, and no main team, so the ''coaches'' keep changing the players and using psychology to manipulate players and parents.... This is a very serious issue and I hope you guys understand that soccer is a very simple game, everyone can play, (but just a few will play like Marta or Ronaldinho), and it's a very spontaneous and creative art, but for that to happen the coaches need to let the players play and the ''clubs'' need to give the poor players a chance.....

Of course - having dreams isn't just for kids - or only adults. Americans having a funny way of preaching exceptionalism than shooting down anyone who might think the intangible is possible. Adults with kids still have dreams & ambitions. Maybe way too many bad apples have spoiled the sports world - maybe there are more "bad parents" than good ones, but as a 20 plus year trainer - for every bad parent out there, there's been 20 golden ones that want the best for their own & (most:))every child. She didn't let a self-fulfilling prophecy make or break her, she shouldn't suggest that others do it either.
