That wasn’t too bad with the bicyclist. In my area, they tried to have some big bike race, but they routed it all on Farm to Market roads during harvest. That one turned out bad since the farm equipment had the right away and refused to yield to the bikes. And the riders weren’t smart enough to not get in front of equipment. There wasn’t anything they could do since they were on FM roads.

Not everywhere. Not everyone. Not even close. It's the illusion that very bad people want the rest to buy into. I'll never go into agreement with the doom and gloom. the pit of Hell liberal cities are consuming themselves. People are far better than given credit for being, or the corrupt liberal press would be able to plaster "alt-right conservative extremists" all over headlines genuinely, for real, instead of having to make up lies all the time. Instead the truth is it's freak-cult leftists identifying as deer-people or rock-moss who are harming others, shooting stuff up. Deluded weirdos like the same merchants-of-chaos press people. My neighbor built this own folding 8 row with a JD 7000 he basically took some ideas and designed his own since he got 2 brand new 7000 planters for free. When folded it's the same exact width as it would be with just 4 rows he made it so he put 2 more rows on each side and they told in basically a full 180° so when in transport they sit infront of the normal 4 rows and then folded they swing out 180° and completely straight with the solid 4 rows it's one hell of a planter he made and it looks completely stock! I think John Deere basically made the same thing and I am sure he took alot of the designs and ideas from it but instead of buying it new and wasting the two brand new ones he had he decided just to build it himself. It works really well especially on the super narrow dirt and minimum maintenance roads. He's ran it for over 25 years now and he's never had a problem or even stress cracks on the original 7000 frame!

I grew up in S. Texas . Did a lot of biking there. A lot of the Farm market roads also had a small shoulders, that does not exist up North as most of roads up North are former carriage trails that date back to colonial times. Any way lots of room to pull over one side for every body on Texas FM roads. The routes I would pick to ride on would have shoulders so I would be out of traffic. I don't know what drivers ed is like in Texas now, but back in the day when I took drivers ed it was always stressed tractors had the right of way period. As things evolve from rural to more urban, not sure if that is stressed any more.

James L Coble, There are a lot of the old 20 series John Deere’s working in my area. A lot of them have been restored because they were in the 11,000 to 15,000 hour range. That was an awesome series. 3020, 4020, 4520, 5020, 7520. Nice old iron.

Tremendous tractors, all I ever used working on a farm through high school. Farmer had two 4020 one 4620 three 5020 and a 7520. The 7520 was the best to drive. The most modern tractor he had was the 4040

I completely agree about the emissions and how far 7,000 dollars can go I got my j i case 930 comfort King for 1,800 and my j i case 811b For 1, 400 and both of them have 3-point hydraulics and a front loader although I took the front loader off the 800 cuz I only need one with a front loader the 930 has about 83 horsepower and the 811b has about 63 to 65 horse power and my Massey Ferguson 760 combine about 1,000 for the combine and two headers you can get some real good equipment for not too much

If I remember correctly, from when we had a 7000 Deere planter, the latch.that holds the marke in transport position, is to be turned 180 degrees when in field position. This lets the end of the latch, opposite of the latching end, act as somewhat of a spring, when the marker is raised. This may help a little with the markers going down, but may not depending on what size sidehill you're on.

Here in Quebec we have a unique way to name them in our language that I can’t find a translation , because the main word is WOUND I’d we translate that word but in that context it doesn’t mean that ...
French language can be complex .

@@MmeHyraelle yeah they are pain in the butt , as I say here in Quebec we speak French but we have our own slang French to describe some situations or something or expressions that doesn’t exist in French from France , my father is perfect bilingual and he don’t know how to translate that expression CRISS DE PLAIE . the word CRISS is swearing , in Quebec when we swears we use christianisme words but not exactly pronounced the exact word ( CRISS = CHRIST = JESUS CHRIST ) and PLAIE is WOUND , but in that context WOUND can mean as you say pain in the butt . And DE mean those things or persons that you refer to .
Well French is known to be the most complex language to learn, in English you 3 PAST , PRESENT and FUTURE, for the verbs, in French we have 30 possibilities.

@@snipersl270 lollll no , as I was explaining here in Quebec we speak French but it’s not the exact the same French as in France, yes we do mostly speak France French but 75 % of us speak Quebec French that is a slang French , when tourists from France come in Quebec they have really hard time to understand us .
In the context context of cyclists we use the word CRISS ( ok yes it’s christ ) but in that phrase it can also mean swearing, because we also use that TABARNAK DE PLAIE ( tabernacle ) ….
Next week I will visit a friend he might know a better translation for that .

I love how the beginning of the video is "if we get our tractors up to the speeds like they have in Europe... that'd be sweet" and mid way through it's "DEF fluid is choking diesel out... waste of money and useless" LOL I completely understand the frustration of government but EPA stuff isn't the problem. Honestly it's the lobbyists restricting the EPA but yeah. Getting it done, Bud! Nice work and vids!

The cyclists are the number one reason I no longer drive through your town. Adds more time to my commute but I can’t handle them riding 2 and 3 abreast making it difficult to pass and when you do they often flip the bird. One even tried to kick my car. The sense of entitlement in this area of Massachusetts is mind blowing.

    • @scottschemmel6573
      @scottschemmel6573 3 роки тому

Not agreeing with what the cyclist did, but riding 2 abreast is a safety measure for groups of 3 or more and not a sense of entitlement. If there was a line of 5 cyclist single file and a car tries to pass without knowing that is 5 people long it could be a risk to both the riders and the driver. That is the primary reason for riding 2 wide. 3 wide is not okay. Just speaking from a cyclist in a farming community and family. I have no problem slowing down and waiting until it is safe. But the moment he passed the cyclist on a blind corner was also unsafe and technically illegal. It happens to me a lot and I don't get bent out of shape about it. People just need to understand the laws and follow them.

That's the only bad thing you can say about the 7000 series planters is that the mechanism that controls which arm goes up and down likes to get stuck. You might try pulling it out of whichever side it is nearer and shooting it with some lithium grease and see if that helps.
    *edit*
What do you lube your seed with, Graphite or Talc?
