My husband always thinks i'm silly for recording every process of the wrapping / postage if i have sold a luxury item - im glad im not the only one. i always tell my buyer as well how i have packaged it and i have it listed in my description that i record the packing process 🤣 its such a shame that we have to do this nowadays because of people who scam others
Glad eBay did right by you in the end! I sold an LV SLG on eBay in 2020. The buyer waited more than 30 days, and then told eBay they never received the item. They never contacted me directly. I think they tried this because I hadn't put the tracking number on eBay. Luckily, I still had the post office receipt with the tracking number showing it was delivered, and when. I uploaded the tracking number to eBay, and they found in my favor. Later, the buyer sent a lame email saying they'd been out of town, and would have to "look around" for the item! More recently, I bought a Chanel WOC on eBay that was supposed to come with the eBay "Authenticity Guarantee", but I got an email from eBay saying they don't authenticate WOCs. This was surprising, since most of the WOC listings include the "Authenticity Guarantee". The seller agreed to a return, but buying AND selling on eBay still makes me a little nervous.
I'm terrified of buying luxury goods on Ebay and often wish that I knew accounts of people like you to buy pre-loved goods from. So sad that this happens. Thanks very informative video
I'm so glad you were able to keep the funds! People have a complete lack of ethics, it's hard to believe. I've always been vary wary of selling on eBay, but I feel a bit better about it now that they've implemented their Authenticity Guarantee program. I'm not sure if it's different in the UK, but as of last year in the US, you ship to an eBay authenticator and then they ship to the buyer. I'm hoping the extra layer of protection will help prevent these scams for sellers in the future, since now there's another person to say "I saw it, and it was legit." I'm assuming they did this because of their terrible reputation for scams on luxury goods, and hopefully this changes things.
Yes I saw that they were doing this in the US a while ago - I think it's starting to be rolled out here in the UK. Clearly it's been a big problem to be able to put this into place so it should help deter scammers / fakes and help improve the experience for buyers for sure. Lets see how it does!
That was awful! You are such a honest and careful person with your bags it was quite unfair this happened to you. Glad eBay protected you. Thank you for sharing your experience
Thanks for sharing your story Steph. I had one experience selling on eBay, it was quite an old used LV bag. I had heaps of photos on eBay and I put in the description of it being well used and advised the buyer to contact me if they wanted more photos. It was an auction and it sold. Once the buyer received the bag they put in a dispute that the item was not as displayed and the buyer wanted a return. I contacted the seller and said I was happy for them to return it to me and I will refund their money once I get the bag back. They refuse to send the bag first and said they needed the money for another purchase. In the end they ended up keeping it but we agreed to a small refund to their advantage due to the condition of the bag. From this experience I now only sell through 3rd party consignment. I have sold a number of items through consignment now and I would never go back.
I'm so thankful, even though I'm not a seller, that you took the time to make this video to protect others. We need more people like you in this world.
I had to quit selling on eBay, because they are allowing buyers to steal from sellers. If you have a large store, you can write it off as a business expense, but if you are a small seller, it’s not worth it.
Yes this is true, in my case it worked out okay in the end. Maybe seller protection is better now? I think removing Paypal from the equation has made it much easier for eBay to see what's happening
Also eBay hosts a lot of sketchy sellers that don’t seem to be sanctioned, but if you are a small seller selling personal items - you are destined to be scammed by ebay.
Nothing but sympathy for you. We sell alot on ebay and scamming is constant. We've had people say they haven't received something. Then I'll screenshot their signature and name and ask how sure they are lol. We are useless at uploading tracking and have found so many say item not received. Thankfully I keep all the receipts and upload it when they make these allegations. I enjoy catching them out xxx
Thank you for sharing your experience and I am glad you got your money back. But this is exactly why I won’t sell any of my bags. That woman will reap from her own thievery!
What a sneaky scam! Glad you were protected. I had a scam the other way around recently. I bought an LV card holder on eBay. I communicated with the seller and she was very open and quick to respond. I paid but the item never showed up. First the seller came with lots of different excuses on why she hadn’t sent it. After a while she just stopped communicating. In the end the only thing eBay could help me with was to close the sellers account. I never got my money back. :(
It is such a shame that people are like this! I’ve heard stories like this before so I have never sold anything luxury on eBay. I have bought using eBay a couple times with good results. This actually makes me more confident using eBay to sell. I’ve only ever sold to people I know or to rebag, the real real, fashionphile in the past. Thanks so much for taking the time to film this!
I actually film once I have received the bag, showing the condition of the box received, unboxing and all items which are received. It definitely helps! Very informative! X
Thank you for your video - unfortunately there are always scammers around. If they do a direct debit into your account the bank, the bank then can't take it out of your account without your permission. That is why when you do a direct debit to a bank tells you...make sure you are depositing into the correct account" once you send it it is literally impossible to get your money back unless the person you sent it to agrees...that is what happens in Australia, might be worth asking the question to your bank in the UK.
I would never buy from eBay. Amazon. Etc for luxury items. I’m not an expert to pick out the fakes. But if I knew it was from you, I would buy. Otherwise I don’t trust ANYONE when I’m spending 1000’s of dollars except the boutique!!!
I purchased a Loewe Puzzle bag from eBay. It turned out to be counterfeit (I had it authenticated) and it came up fake. Since I paid through PayPal, I got my money back after I showed proof of inauthenticity. I still felt so stupid that I was fooled though 😞
I buy luxury bags on eBay, but only from Japan. Their resale business is closely monitored. Selling a fake bag would result in losing their business license permanently. I resell on eBay also, but I provide proof of authenticity and also send signature required. So far, so good. However it can be nerve wracking
In that situation yes eBay should take care of it. Seller protection, you did your part, what puzzles me is the length of time eBay allowed the buyer to do this. 2 months later is crazy
So sorry this happen. I'm like stressing 😫 hearing your story. Thanks for sharing. I recommend putting their name in your description so we can be aware. I'm glad ebay gave your money back. 🙏🏾this video was helpful.
I have had some really bad experiences with Ebay many many years ago, which put me off. It is good to know that they have implemented changes and there is more protection. Glad you were able to keep the funds.
I literally just 12hrs ago watched a video by Erica's Girly World from 4 yrs ago about the same issue on ebay but at that time for her PayPal was still connected to Ebay. I think the Universe is trying to tell me to become more vigilant in selling my items. I'm so grateful you were able to in the end win your cases but it still is a stressful thing to go through and unfortunately we must cover ourselves! Thanks for sharing ❤
I am sorry this happened to you. You should goggle your bags every now and then because the scammer might be trying to sell your bags. Hopefully the scammer gets scammed.
I had a buyer buy an LV bag off me, without any questions or making an offer. I was suspicious and checked their feedback. luckily kind people had added warning comments under positive feedback that this person was a scammer. I cancelled the order and refunded them, now I always check feedback and cancel if something doesn’t feel right. Awful how people can behave this way. 😡
I purchased a “Loewe” bag from eBay. I don’t know if the seller thought it was authentic or not, but every communication she said “authentic Loewe bag”. It not everyone who authenticates Loewe, but it did turn out to be fake. eBay had me send it back to her ( they provided the return label), and somehow, it bounced back to me as “no such address “. It took quite a while, but I get my refund. Anyone want a nice leather fake Loewe puzzle bag? It gags me to look at it!
I bought a Loewe puzzle bag from eBay. It turned out to be counterfeit. Since I paid through PayPal and I proved that it was a fake from using an online authenticator, I got my money back. The eBay seller then sent me threatening messages. I reported the seller. It was a bad experience 😢
I just always sell to third party sellers for this reason. Even though you get less, it is worth it to me not to have the stress. I am also terrified to buy any pre loved bags. Just never feel certain they are real unless I get them from the boutique.
Hey Jennifer, yes i would also consider resellers too but if you want the value of the bag I'll sell via eBay still. I now mostly buy my expensive LV / Chanel via boutique as it's not worth risking.
@@Handbagholic or you could just buy from Fashionphile and Rebag, downside is the exorbitant customs charges but if you have someone in the US who can receive the bag then post to you, you pay way less.
I had a great experience buying pre-loved Chanel through FarFetch. They do not rate the condition of their bags, so. I called customer service to ask why that is. She said they only deal with reputable, known to them, reseller organizations for bags in excellent condition. I purchased the bag. It came from a reseller shop in Tokyo. It was a twenty year old canvas bag in excellent condition!
I had a scammer come back the day before 6 months to file a dispute through PayPal. Their deadline is very different from Ebay, and they never filed a claim with EBay at all! I keep proof of everything like you do, and it really saved me. This person was sketchy from the beginning, but when you think the deadline is up on EBay, they can still file through PayPal.
I can’t believe it was so easy for her to do that. I was recently scammed trying to buy concert tickets. The person took my money and never sent the tickets. I contacted my bank and showed the whole conversation. They told me there was nothing they could do, so I can’t believe her bank did it so easily.
I’m glad the eBay seller’s protection came through for you. Your tip about videoing the packing process is a good one. It’s also a good practice when returning items. I purchased a pair of shoes from a small outdoors company in the US that had great reviews. Unfortunately, the shoes didn’t fit but I wasn’t worried about returning them because they offered a solid money back guarantee. I carefully packaged the shoes up and sent them back. A couple of weeks later I received an email saying they were only going to refund 70% of the purchase price because the shoes showed “visible signs of wear”. This claim was utterly ridiculous since I’d had the shoes on my feet for less than 5 minutes whilst walking around my living room. I’d also been very careful to gently brush the soles of the shoes to remove any carpet fibres before boxing them up again. I didn’t know what to do. I had trusted the company to honour its money back guarantee and it hadn’t occurred to me to take photos or video of packaging the shoes for return. I was kicking myself that I didn’t have any evidence to dispute their claim. However, in my case PayPal came through. I initiated a dispute and within 24 hours the seller offered me a full refund of the purchase price. Lesson learned. Always take photos.
God this is awful! I would be so stressed! I'm so sorry you went through this! What a horrible thing to do! I'm so glad you made this video to raise awareness about this. I hope you're ok.
OMG! I am so sorry to hear about this situation. Thank you for sharing your experience with your audience. It’s nice to hear that you will continue to engage in the preloved market. I’ve been scammed as well on Poshmark and used PayPal to reclaim my funds.
Good thing eBay protected you. PayPal was horrible and I have first hand experience with that. I got scammed a few times like this. One in particular claimed the bag never arrived and then when it did (it was delayed) she claimed it was damaged (it was not). So eBay told her to return the bag and she sent me an empty package so that the tracking appeared to show it was sent back. PayPal was involved and they sided with her! But eBay did protect me. It’s nerve wracking, but most transactions are good. What I do now is send the buyer a message when they purchase saying please confirm your mailing address, confirm your purchase and agree that this is a final sale. If they don’t respond to this message, I cancel the sale. Great tips 👍🏼
This is the reason I don't sell my designer things on eBay anymore. I don't want to deal with the anxiety that comes with disputes months later after the item was sold, even though I did everything right as an individual seller. Anyway glad that you were able to keep the funds.
Omg…just listening to your story gave me anxiety…what a scary thing to have to handle. Good that all was sorted …but wow how awful. Love your videos, I’m a new subscriber. Brilliant videos I enjoy them all.Thank you xx
glad it all worked out in the end 👌 the reason she got her money back (most likely) is because she paid with her crwdit card .. I don't think you can do a chargeback directly from bank account but you can on credit card & you have 2 months to do it
Wow that is a very crappie thing that happened to you. I triedvto sell my alma on poshmark and later removed the listing due to suspicious inquiries. Super glad toy got your money back.
I think the frustrating part is that you can all the documentation in the world and none of the reselling platforms offer more options to upload documentation. I think both buyer and sellers need protections because their are shady sellers and buyers everywhere.
Oh my God Stephanie I'm so glad everything worked out in your favor❣️ I would be petrified because if they deducted the funds two months later I'm sure I would go negative in my bank account 🤦🏻♀️that's horrible that they can do that, I think after the package is delivered and the buyer accepts the package within 3 days, the case should be closed. I also have sold 3 LV items on eBay and when the buyer purchased it, the item then went to an authenticator based out in Las Vegas and then they directly shipped it to the buyer so I don't even know who the buyer is or their address I live in the United States. I'm so happy everything worked out for you you're such a sweetheart ❤️❤️❤️❤️🌸🌸🌸🤍🤍🤍💜💜💜💜
@Lori Bella Hi. I have lv, cc and other things to sell. Trying to sell at fashionphile they buy back very chip. but afraid to sell on eBay. When you send your items to eBay authenticator then they send to buyer. It’s mean the buyer had excuses to return or any other reason to return by right ? Please let me know what I need to know.=(^.^)=🙏thank you
Thanks for this video although I wish I'd seen it a week ago. Have just sold a lightly used Gucci bag on eBay which was delivered today and the buyer has bombarded me with messages all day claiming misleading and 'damage' for a couple of microscopic 'scratches' on it and asking for a discount (they got a great deal already!). I'm hoping that I am protected by the authentication process eBay now have in place as I can see this becoming a massive headache. I've told them to raise it with eBay is they are not satisfied so we'll see. If I sell again will definitely film myself packing the bag up close to ship!
Wow! So glad this worked out for you. My experience has been that ebay sides with the buyer almost exclusively. I was just scammed by a buyer who claimed the item arrived to her damaged and intentionally damaged the item to get her money back. I’m a little 🥵.
Oh that's so bad! I guess there are so many scams out there, it's always hard. That's why I film before I send to prove the condition, but it's never easy.
I sold a Russell & Bromley bag on Ebay 8 years ago. The buyer reported it as fake. She sent it back screwed up without the dust bag. Paypal took the money back from me and I had no rights. I have never used Ebay since. It is interesting to know that eventually, after all these years, Ebay have finally acted in sorting out this mess.
I have sold an Oroton handbag. Then the buyer claimed that the leather was all cracked. I had to refund it and take it back, but all the photos showed the bag as is. Leather has grains!?! Hate it that you cannot give buyers negative feedback.
eBay does not allow people to make negative comments in "positive" feedback. If the buyer sees that, they can it request it to be removed and eBay will remove it. . That said...feedback does not affect your seller rating.
Hi! I’m so sorry this happened and thank you for the information. I had a scam issue with a buyer on ebay and I was able to leave negative feedback on their account. You may want to see if you can do this. It may only be in the US that you can.
It’s happen to me on Mercari. I send the bag to the buyer. She last get two in to accept the bag. To file a claim. Then they side with the buyer. So the buyer send me back A 📦 for all clothes. Not my beautiful LV never full. I took pictures and the item send it to them. After going back and fourth. They release my money. So sad people out here scammer people. Sorry that happened to you.
I’m so sorry this happened to you. I’ve only sold my bag to an IG consignment shop and she was amazing. I was so worried because I was shipping a bag that I spent over $1,400 for. It is nerve wrecking process.
I resell fashion pieces and these scammers are the worst part of the job 😑 I will use third party designer consignment sites on higher price luxury items because I’ve heard too many horror stories like this!
I got a survey today right after i used Ebay for Business on facebook. they asked how they could improve. I stated to bring back the ability to leave feedback on buyers.
When I’ve disputed a charge with my bank, it’s taken a long time to get a judgement. We’re usually credited back the money until the dispute is investigated, usually at least a month later. A matter of days is ridiculous!
I am just heartsick over your experience! I have been so concerned about these types of things that I just send all my items to the Real Real to have them sell them even though I will be taking a deep price cut by doing so. I just couldn't deal with the stress right now. However I will still be purchasing from ebay because of their wonderful new authenticity program. I would love to see your items. Ill see if I can find them. I'm glad everything turned out in your favor.!!!!
I always sent pics to the buyer as soon as I shipped the bag. Including a picture with the box in the scale, so the buyer knows the weight, which later can be compared to the weight listed by the shipping company. I have seen some scamers receive the box but then they claim it was empty
I have an online boutique and have my return policy for sale items listed in 4 different places on the website. I had a buyer chargeback a $1500 dress because she was not permitted to return it due to the policy. Ultimately her credit card company sided with me because she agreed to the terms of service.
I’ve had problems with the Post Office. The last parcel they ‘delivered’ was flung into the middle of my drive in the pouring rain. They came nowhere near the door. I signed for nothing and the parcel was in a mess. Wet through but thankfully the contents were fine. I was ok this time, but what if they do that with goods I send? They never answer their phone and don’t reply to emails - useless bunch … Who the hell have they got delivering these days …
Steph this happened to me too I sold my LV keepall 55!!! Honestly the fear is real! But I was able to prove I sent the bag etc and then the buyer said they didn’t want it because the handles were too dark (stated in the listing and there were plenty of pics) mine was with PayPal and they were useless!!! Now I sell my designer items through a consignment store! Glad you got sorted honestly it’s horrible people do this?
I used to sell gold sovereigns on ebay but got scammed with the empty box scam so had to stop. Buyer claimed envelope was empty, even though i had picture of postman handing her a clearly not empty plastic tamper proof special delivery envelope, tracking with weight, signature and video of me sealing it. Been selling on ebay 6 years, no issues and 100% feedback. Ebay sided with buyer! Unbelievable and obviously a scam. So i claimed my money back from eBay and no longer sell on there. Sad story but ebay have zero seller protection in these cases.
I found it concerning for some years now to sell online. Just meet the customer ,so the buyer can check the items and just buying then. I get my cash and then i dont have a problem, the buyer as well.
I had the opposite thing happened to me. A seller sold me a fake abcDior. I had the bag authenticated, and contacted the seller. I sent her back her fake bag. EBay refused to give me my money back and I couldn't leave a review for others to see. I finally had enough and contacted my bank.
Ebay scammers are the worst ! I understand that Ebay wants to protect the buyers but how do they protect the sellers from these types of scams ? For me, I only sell on Fashionphile or The Real Real for peace of mind.
Direct deposit is actually safer for the seller. There is no way buyer’s bank can reverse the transfer. The charge back can happen with paypal or credit cards but not with checking accounts.
I too am in uk and in various Facebook groups and the amount of scamming is going on ,it’s scary .I feel best to sell through consignments and buy bags that I am very sure of .
If it was a direct bank transfer they can’t do a charge back. This is what I would be so wary of & honestly I can’t be bothered. I just keep all my bags
I’ve heard so many horror stories about eBay that I would never sell or purchase from there. I have enjoyed doing both with Fashionphile and Ann’s Fabulous Finds and have never had an issue, thankfully.
One ebay seller blocked my account after i filed for a lost shipment when they had no interest to help locating the package. Just kept sending me a tracking which clearly stated the shipment was missing. The package showed up a few months later. When i went into my account to update the shipping info, there i found out I was blocked. Notified ebay, they did nothing. Thats the last time i cared to use ebay. Too much hassle to deal with unethical sellers and sucky ebay customer service. Shopping should be fun.
That seller should have filed a missing package claim for you. I always do this for buyers when I ship something and it gets lost in the mail. USPS always ends up finding the package.
Thank you so much for posting about this. I just finished refurbishing an LV Alma and was thinking about listing it on eBay. I professionally cleaned the bag, spent two hours polishing the hardware and hours and hours custom painting it (a week’s worth of work) - I would be heartbroken to get scammed after all that work. I’m retired from law enforcement and I’m curious if you filed a police report?
I used to work credit card chargebacks/disputes. So I’ve heard all of these all to well. Zelle or bank transfer/wires those are harder for this to happen. So I get why might not try it with these versus chargebacks. Also for the chargeback to be accepted, you are right it depends what they say to their bank. Because if they said fraud and it’s not their address or signature then the bank will side with them versus merchandise not as describe, received or counterfeit. Their bank will ask more from them.
I bought a Chanel 19 bag on EBAY, they authenticated the bag which was awesome. But it was supposed to be a brand new bag with tags and everything and it wasn’t at all. Not only the bag had just been thrown in the box without the 3/4 of the protective papers , no flower and no original receipt like stipulated. I kept the bag just because I couldn’t find it anywhere else. But I paid over retail price for it and I was expecting a bag that comes in the same way as if I got it in the boutique, not something just thrown in the box with no care. It was totally my last buy, I was already so unsure about it, it will keep me away from there.
I would recommend getting the bag authenticated by an authenticator and not put too much stock into eBay’s authentication. It could totally be authentic, but I’ve heard of super fakes passing authentication at places like eBay and other platforms like it.
Sorry to hear this. I have had back to back scams recently where eBay are siding with the buyer when they claim the item is not as received - they don’t care for my video proof sadly so now I’ve resolved not to sell on eBay any longer. I don’t think the item value matters - it’s the principle of it which really bothers me!
the police told me, that the bank from the buyer can't get back the money when your bank account is empty. that is the only way to save the money. when you get the money from the buyer, transfer it on an other bank account.
I was almost the same situation, I sold few bags medium value, she left me positive feedback, I got charged back after half a year..there was 3 transaction 2 were covered by the bank 1 the lowest the ebay covered..in US there is a different scam like they fake their addresses and claim they not receive the item or send back empty box..she probably can get away with one scam like this, if she try again the bank won't side with her..
I bought a chloe bag on eBay and it was fake. I had to pay to return it and got a refund through ebay. The woman was insisting it was genuine but it was a bad fake. Some people are scammers and it spoils it for the rest of us.
This happened to me with Venmo! Exactly. I sold a backpack from my collection. I even sent screen shots of her message that she received the backpack. I sent tracking info too. I’m still waiting - Venmo says the person put a dispute through their credit card. And I have to wait up to 75 days for it to be done & Venmo says if credit card bank agrees with buyer they can’t do anything about it.
I had a situation where I paid for a MuiMu purse on eBay. First of all the seller said that her son had taken ill and she would post the item to me the following week but that didn't happen! After another week past I contacted her again and got no response and there was no details on eBay to say that the item had been posted. Cutting a long story short. The purse never arrived and I opened a dispute resolution with eBay. I think I had to wait 12 days for eBay to take over. I received the payment I'd made from eBay and the dispute was closed following a message from eBay. As far as I'm aware you do not have to leave feedback to a dodgy seller or buyer you simply ignore the request. Also eBay will "blacklist" the dodgy customer on your behalf and they will never be able to buy or sell on eBay again without rectifying the original default to eBay's standard. You're welcome ☺️
I used to sell on Ebay but don't anymore after hearing soooo many stories. I know I get less money from selling to Fashionphile, TRR, etc., I don't have any headaches doing this. Sorry this happened to you.
Actually that is also kind of strange that she disputed only after two months....i mean literally i believed all the banks transaction has been completed. Ok she can said she has yet to received the items after paying and waited for so long. Yes in this case if you sell thru direct debit, it is even more difficult to dispute between banks. Luckily Ebay has the seller's protection clause. Thanks for sharing.

It really is sad that we have to do it but you’re doing exactly the right thing!
I’m so glad you were protected!! It is truly pathetic that these scammers are pulling these tricks.
It does feel like the wild west sometimes but eBay buyer protection is also great if yo are scammed with a fake.
I'm so glad you were able to keep the funds! People have a complete lack of ethics, it's hard to believe. I've always been vary wary of selling on eBay, but I feel a bit better about it now that they've implemented their Authenticity Guarantee program.
Glad you found it useful 🙌
I had to quit selling on eBay, because they are allowing buyers to steal from sellers. If you have a large store, you can write it off as a business expense, but if you are a small seller, it’s not worth it.
Yes this is true, in my case it worked out okay in the end. Maybe seller protection is better now? I think removing Paypal from the equation has made it much easier for eBay to see what's happening
You did the right thing by stop selling there.
Exactly!
Agreed
I purchased a Loewe Puzzle bag from eBay. It turned out to be counterfeit (I had it authenticated) and it came up fake. Since I paid through PayPal, I got my money back after I showed proof of inauthenticity. I still felt so stupid that I was fooled though 😞
@@JanGlow it happens to the best of us …. That’s my fear. But live and learn. 🥰
This is why I am so afraid to sell on ebay. Thankfully the first time I sold my bag, it was to a very nice lady. ☺️
Glad to hear it Mary
Send it to me. I like to study luxury replicas. I do it to stay updated on their craft.
I bought a Loewe puzzle bag from eBay. It turned out to be counterfeit. Since I paid through PayPal and I proved that it was a fake from using an online authenticator, I got my money back. The eBay seller then sent me threatening messages. I reported the seller. It was a bad experience 😢
@@JanGlow was it from a USA seller?
@@miradonfbd no it was actually Russia
I just always sell to third party sellers for this reason. Even though you get less, it is worth it to me not to have the stress. I am also terrified to buy any pre loved bags. Just never feel certain they are real unless I get them from the boutique.
Hey Jennifer, yes i would also consider resellers too but if you want the value of the bag I'll sell via eBay still. I now mostly buy my expensive LV / Chanel via boutique as it's not worth risking.
Honestly!!
@@Handbagholic or you could just buy from Fashionphile and Rebag, downside is the exorbitant customs charges but if you have someone in the US who can receive the bag then post to you, you pay way less.
100% agreed no pre loved for me. I hardly sell anything but when I did. I sold it to friends.
Humanity still sinking into new depths… plus scamming someone on YT!! Name and shame that person
The account has been deactivated! I'm going to report the woman to action fraud
So glad it all worked out!! Also love your hair in this video- did you get a cut? Color! Beautiful
Very informative thank you! Can’t believe people do this it’s so sad 😭
it really is!
I am so sorry to hear this happened to you. The only thing I can say, what goes around comes around …. And not your problem anymore
If you ever decided to sell the grey Casandra tote, I certainly want to buy it! It’s one of my favorites still in your collection 💙
haha thanks! I think she' going to be a keeper.
I’m so glad you got your money back Steph. I love your videos
Thank you Kevin ❤️❤️
glad it all worked out in the end 👌 the reason she got her money back (most likely) is because she paid with her crwdit card ..
Wow people are so shady. Sorry that this has happened to you. So glad you got your money. It is a shame that people do this. I think it is horrible
So sorry you had that incredibly negative experience, but thank you so much for your insight!
This happened to me recently. That was the last transaction I will ever do over eBay. X
fabulous content Handbagholic. I crushed the thumbs up on your video. Always keep up the great work.
Yes I agree there needs to be some warning sellers can flag to other sellers for some buyers.
eBay does not allow people to make negative comments in "positive" feedback.
So the buyer send me back
A 📦 for all clothes.
Thanks for sharing. They really are awful aren't they
I got a survey today right after i used Ebay for Business on facebook. they asked how they could improve. I stated to bring back the ability to leave feedback on buyers.
Glad to hear that new eBay payment changes with payments are a positive change! I need to get back on eBay!
That’s awful, Steph. So sad as I nearly bought the bag but didn’t realise it was yours. Please let me know if you sell the gray as I love it xx
Thank you for this great information. Good luck on all your future sells.
I have an online boutique and have my return policy for sale items listed in 4 different places on the website. I had a buyer chargeback a $1500 dress because she was not permitted to return it due to the policy. Ultimately her credit card company sided with me because she agreed to the terms of service.
This is crazy! So glad you got to keep your money!
They never answer their phone and don’t reply to emails - useless bunch …
Who the hell have they got delivering these days …
Did it have the authentication through ebay?
@@Crys1821 this was before eBay does automatic authentication.
Thanks for sharing
I too am in uk and in various Facebook groups and the amount of scamming is going on ,it’s scary .I feel best to sell through consignments and buy bags that I am very sure of .
Yes you definitely have to be super careful in the Facebook groups too. I'd maybe make someone in a FB group buy via eBay for the protection
You need to call police to take the bank info and her address.
If it was a direct bank transfer they can’t do a charge back.
This is what I would be so wary of & honestly I can’t be bothered. I just keep all my bags
I’ve had so many awful experiences with eBay, I’m done with it. Can’t deal with the panic. Some people are so so dubious.
Good job. They are not safe. eBay may have helped her here but how many people lost their money on the bad end of it?
So sorry this happened to you @ least you did exactly what you needed to for the return of yr funds. Best wishes from Adelaide; South Australia🇦🇺💐
Great video!! I hope people are helped by this! X
I hope so too!
You are pretty lucky. eBay has always sided with buyers in my experience. Even when you have all the evidence.
Hi there, yes it's not nice what people do. I haven't filed a police report.
Happy you got your money back. This is a terrible person! EBay has always been very honorable with me can’t say that about Mercari.
Aww this is so awful! I’ve always bought and sold luxury goods on eBay since 2012 with no issues
I’m so sorry you were scammed. I’ve been scammed on EBay a couple of times and lost money. I will never buy designer items on EBay again.
Thanks for sharing. Yes I’m just glad eBay sorted it for me. Now PayPal isn’t involved I think it’s for the better
Thanks for sharing.
Oh my gosh. Thank you for this!!!
Hi. Where is your evil eye necklace from? It's so beautiful!
Steph. Wow. Thx though for sharing. We need to know what to look out for!
Thanks for sharing.
go to the house and put the windows through. if this happened to me that's what I would do, Get your own justice.
I would watch for seeing if the scammed goods shows up for sale in the future.
