- Are you getting ready to visit Melaque or Barra de Navidad and you are looking for a Melaque Air BnB or a Melaque Hotel or for Melaque Mexico Vacation Rentals. If this is your situation, then this video is just the right spot to be in. We had the pleasure of discovering this Melaque Mexico Air BnB, at first, we were looking for a Melaque hotel and we ran into this place by accident. We searched all over the place for Melaque Mexico Vacation Rentals and we had almost given up until we found this fabulous place.
After traveling around a lot of Mexico, we had heard a lot about Melaque Jalisco, or Melaque Mexico, what ever you want to call it. We had also heard a lot about Barra de Navidad Jalisco. We heard that Barra de Navidad Jalisco was within walking distance from Melaque Jalisco or Melaque Jalisco Mexico, what ever you want to call it.
We started our search for Melaque Mexico Vacation Rentals, we were really interested in a Melaque Mexico Air BnB, but we weren't sure if they had such a thing in Melaque Jalisco. We were also interested in Barra de Navidad Jalisco Mexico, but we didn't know if it would be possible to find a Barra de Navidad Air BnB, but we keep looking anyway.
While we where searching for a Melaque Mexico Air BnB, we almost gave up and just looked for a Melaque Hotel, or a Melaque Mexico Hotel, what ever you want to call it, and then a friend of ours told us about this special place, you will see the whole thing in this video.
If you are at all thinking about a Melaque vacation, or if you are thinking at all about Melaque vacation rentals, then this is the video you really want to see. It was great.
I'm a hotel freak, and if the hotel isn't great, then the whole trip can be a real drag. This place was way better than a Melaque hotel because it had everything you could imagine and everything was new and clean and close to anywhere you would want to visit in Melaque Jalisco or Barra de Navidad Jalisco.

We've stayed throughout Melaque for over 30 years and always love it there. Mostly we've been in the west end of town
TY Bill. My sister and I would love this place for peace and quiet.🧡🦋🌻
Hi Savvy, I like Melaque very much. We have spent many weeks there. It is a beautiful, chilled out, cheap place. Yes, quiet too.
Best,
Bill
Funny guy 😄
Thanks Julie
What a lovely home! I hope you had a wonderful time...looks and sounds like it! I'm still hoping for a vid on health care soon...thanks, Kristine
Hi Kristine,
I got a message from you about 5 days ago, but when I click it to respond, the message goes away and I can't read the whole thing or reply, this is the part that I could read, ""So, you encouraged me to retire right now a while ago. I think I'm a little bit afraid. I teach in eastern Montana on a reservation. After almost six years of living and teaching in this neck of..."
Please follow up with the rest that was left out.
My cousin moved down here alone from Montana 3 years ago. She lives in Guadalajara which is about 45 minutes from where I live in Chapala. She is an artist and spends most of her time doing art and walking her dog. She loves Mexico and lives alone. No more snow for her, but she did love Montana. My cousin and I are from Ohio, though both of us have lived all over the world.
Some people move down here and they don't like it. I wonder what they are like when they live in the States. Some people aren't happy where ever they go.
The health care video will be showing up at some point.
Take care,
Bill
@@BillDallasLewis Hi Bill, I will send you an email.
This Air BnB is gorgeous. And that 1st bathroom shower 🚿 OMG! Love it! I’d like to stay long-term. Do they offer 3 -6 month options?🧡🦋🌻
you forgot to mention price/ weekly or monthly long term or short term
Hi Kenneth, the price for that place is right around 110 US per night. The contact information is in the discription of that video. You might email her and ask for a longterm rate. Her name is Sylvia.
Best,
Bill
@@BillDallasLewis thanks., We only need a week or so to check out that area in person $110 sounds ok, about like Motel 6 in USA. I am surprised it is so high. Maybe I should buy a home to rent out on Air B&B? ( ha ha, like I could do that)
@@kennethflood2849 That place is very nice, really nice. I think you can find something cheaper for a couple of months, or a month. Then, you can meet some people and look around and find something way more affordable.
Try that.
Best,
Bill
@@BillDallasLewis thanks we will do that
Bill. can I use my USA cell phone in Mexico while on vacation for week in Chalapa
That is a tricky question. I think that your provider would charge you a lot of money. Ask them. What I would do is pull that chip out of your phone when you get to Mexico. Telcel is the national cell phone company in Mexico. They have little shops everywhere, you will see the signs. You can go to them and tell them that you want a chip. Then put in that chip and you have everything. You buy minutes. The chip is not that expensive, then you give them say 300 pesos, that 15 dollars US. When you run low on minutes, you go to OXXO, that is like a 7 11, they are on almost every corner, you give them your phone number and pay for more minutes.
Something I just learned about 2 weeks ago is dual chip phones. These are new phones that let you use two chips. Look into this. I was looking for dual chip adaptors on UA-cam. Try Amazon. Then you can switch between your chips as needed.
Hope that helps
Best,
Bill
@@BillDallasLewis thanks Bill .just what I needed to know. I will do that.
Thanks again Bill. Daughter is 23 years old with an undergraduate degree in psychology. Money is not an issue but it sounds like the best option is to take some courses at little to no cost and then assess whether to continue or not.
Howdy Bert, She has a degree and she's not a kid anymore, Super!!!!!! If she learns the ropes, she can be a consultant and make lots of money working at home, or where ever she wants to work.
I wish her the best.
Good luck,
Bill the Geek
how much a night?
I paid 39 a night, now it is about 129 a night US. Great place.
Is bkfast offered?
In my experience, Airbnb's don't offer breakfast...the old Bed and Breakfasts do. The airbnb I stayed at in Ajijic had a kitchen where I could cook. But there are restaurants all over where you can go eat.
Thanks for the message. You must cook your own food.
Best, Bill
price?
Hi Christine, We paid about $120 US per night. But, the place sleeps four. I was very happy to pay the money for the place. I was great.

Bill
I always want a COFFEE MAKER.
Hard to find café in Latín America before a las siete.
Yes Rick, the Coffee maker is key.
Have a great day,
Bill
How would one find this BNB. Name? Contact info?
Hi Arlin,
The contact information is in the description below the video.
Hope that helps, Let me know if you need more information.

Bill
How'd you get there from Lakeside, Bill, by bus? The car routes seem indirect -- and maybe not super safe, if you're unlucky.
Howdy Lou,
We drove, it was a 5 hour drive from Chapala. The same from Guadalajara, great roads, wonderful trip.
Best, Bill
Hey bill how are you ,you know any places in manzanillo (air,B,b if you do place sent me the information, this, jesse
I will be checking that out.
Are there also nice AirBB's in Chapala? I think we coming down for retirement research.
Oh yeah. Tons. Arguably overpriced for Mexico but there's plenty of them.
Howdy, Yes there are Air BnB's in Chapala, I can't tell you about them because I have not to them, but I know there are some good ones.
Hi Bill....we enjoy your videos...
How much was the AirBnb?
Hi Lyn,
I'm glad you like the videos, I'll be putting up the Melaque video most likely Wednesday.
The full rate for the Air BnB was 2300 pesos, that's $115 US. That's the rate for October through April. October through April is when all of the Americans and Canadians come down, they all leave in April. I would think that from May to September the place, owned by Sylvia, would reduce her price. It was a great place.
Hope that helps,
Best,
Bill the Geek
@@BillDallasLewis ... thank you... looking forward to seeing the beach towns...
Hi Lyn,
Below is the full link to AirBnB, I didn't have it before and I just put it at the bottom of the Description for the video.

That’s beautiful Air place but very expensive for a night , in Canadian funds that about $143 a night or $4000 for a month.
@@brendacrivari3539 Hi Brenda, Yeap, lots of money. But it was well worth it for me. I love a nice place to stay.

Really nice place. How much a night?
Hi Mark, We paid 100 US per night. That may go down in the summer. Ask the owner for a deal.
Best, Bill

Hi Bill ... I found your prior video about working remotely especially interesting. I have a daughter who is interested in going into digital marketing as a career. Where should she look for courses? Any particular school or college recommended (preferably Canada)? What do you think of the opportunities in the field? Is it easy to get work in that field? Any info you have is highly appreciated. Thanks, Bert
Hi Bert,
I learned everything I know through books and Google. Digital marketing is something that every business needs. Even the ones that don't know it. It's a great field and I've been in the field for 35 years. It's all about search engine optimization, SEO and web development. I would skip spending the money to go to college and have her study her ass off and pick up some clients and make some money while she is learning. I learned most of what I know from my clients while they were paying me money.
Hope that helps,
best,
Bill the Geek
Thanks for your prompt response Bill. What courses do you recommend she study?
First I would ask, what does she mean by Digital Marketing. And I would like to know how old she is. Your question, can she make money doing this, yes she can.
If you have the money, or she has the money, sure, send her to school. See what the various schools have to offer.
If she is going to do digital marketing, then she needs to know how to get on Page 1 of Google for sure, this is call Search Engine Optimization. That will work for Google and UA-cam.
She also should know web design basics. Html, Css, and Wordpress would be a must know. She should have a web site and know how to get it on Page 1 of Google.
She should know marketing basics, how to sell. Why do people buy?
I would think that you don't want to spend a lot of money for school and then you can't use any of the concepts she learned in the real world.
Look at the school's offerings and see what make sense.
Hope that helps,
Best,
Bill
