Anthony Carsten we can not deny the good Apartheid did for this country's economy and development, but we can also not ignore the bad that was done. This country was built on the backs of our ancestors, no white man touched one brick, sowed one piece of fabric, mined one spec of gold. The people who did the real hard work were oppressed and never got retribution for thier hard work, meanwhile Jan Piet and Co didn't even need degrees to work in places they were not qualified to work in.
Don't conveniently forget that there was the same corruption during Apartheid, the only reason it wasn't noticible was because the money stolen was money out of black peoples mouths.
The Apartheid government killed thousands of black people just because they felt a need to be human, to not be treated as less simply because of thier skin colour.
Yes the white man brought a more "modern" way of living to South Africa, but there where already systems put in place, black people had thier own way of living, thier own infrastructure which white supremacists tore down in order to impose thier own lifestyles. They removed black culture to the point that some black people believe that white people brought them to South Africa, not knowing that thier ancestors moved here during the Buntu migration.

The point Malema is making is crucial and goes to the core of our problems. Platforms like these are essential as they have a huge audience. Why some find it a problem that he has used the platform to protest against key figures of apartheid is beyond me.

I am no South African, I liked Malema for his vocal personality and thought of him as a future leader, I thereafter took the liberty to listen to him here and there. I saw an unstable, intolerant, childish individual who will further descend the country into a state of disunity. EFF is a time bomb especially with Malema in the lead of that pack.
