if you're trying to turn those lights red, no need to do all this. go to your auto parts store and get some brake light film. put it over the bulb, cut it out in the shape of the light and that's it. did mine. looks and operates just fine.

I bought some blue led PODS from ORACLE. They are billet and super bright= BADASS!!! Wondering though if they can be retrofitted in this space. I think your way will be less involved. Can you provide a link for the blue round led you purchased please since we all see that it fit perfectly. I recently changed mines and will be uploading pics soon but yeah it was a long process and it's worth it. The only thing I hate is that the lights are royal blue and not white as I expected
so now that you installed new ones can you explain how the fixture is actually held in? Is it kind of like a sandwich effect with the headliner between the bezel and the fixture and if so can it just be separated by sliding your hand up above the headliner and not removing so much interior trim? I have a sunroof and the light is about 3 inches from the edge of the sunroof opening. and thanks so much for being the only one to post a video about doing this
Is the sunroof entry easier? I'm assuming not since you went through the side. I've ordered the LEDs and will save this for a snowy day later this winter.

I replaced my map lights and used this product called "light blocking kit" so now no lights in the back period. This car is so small nobody ever in the back anyway. That's what my 1982 Cadillac Sedan DeVille is for.... passengers.
EZAUTOWRAP from your local Walmart, cut it to what ever shape of you light and slap it on...DONE!!! comes in multiple colors, this is too dam much unless your getting paid to do it!!! Nice vid tho!!

A Wil it ... The ring on the headliner that you pop off first holds it in place. the rest is just pressure between the roof and headliner
