This is nice to see. I was on a train from Moscow to Samara in 1994. The train you were on is much newer and nicer than the one I was on.
Russia of early 90s and Russia today have nothing to do with each other.
Very good video on a sleeper train in Russia
Thank you, looking forward to watching the next legs of your journey
Hope to travel soon, these videos give you good ideas
It's very interesting to see train trips in Russia, good video mate ;)
Things have definitely changed since I travelled on the train from Helsinki to Moscow and back, and once from Leningrad (now St Peterburg) to Tallinn.
Absolutely, it's really good in Russia. And of course you'll find the old stuff as well (for example the video.Samara - Astana).
There is Allegro rapid train between Saint Petersburg & Helsinki now*. You could use it for your next trip to St. Petersburg/Russia 🙂
Hello from Saint Petersburg! ✌️🙂
*except COVID pandemic period 😷😳
Awesome video mate. If possible please include clear pictures of the menu items.
Fantastisch filmpje!
doing GREAT!!
after watching many videos you are the most informative!!! I will follow!!
Молодец!
Good very good vedio
Leuke video en muziek.
Dankje :)
I don’t like sleeping double deckers as there’s no space for luggage at the compartments. RZD promised to decrease prices when launched double deckers five years ago, but of course they haven’t done that 😹
I sure believe the space thing. And it might more efficient when it comes to costs for staff for example but costs for maintenance will go up when using double deck trains, they are just heavier so they will damage the tracks a bit more as well.
@@Trainviking in Russia and Belarus it doesn't matter, because they use the same tracks for both cargo and passenger trains (except Moscow-St. Petersburg route). That's why you can feel difference as soon as you cross the Polish-Belorussian border. And you know, tracks are owned and maintained by RZD, but passenger long distance trains are operated by different companies (mostly FPK, which is a daughter of RZD)
So, Kupe & SV tickets on RZD "cars-doubledeckers" are usually cheaper than on ordinary cars. You are not right about prices 😉
P.S. I don't like these new cars because of same reason as you 🙄
@@shv06 lower berths have plenty of luggage space underneath which can be used by both lower and upper passengers at the same time.
Kazanskiy vokzal (railway station) is the biggest in whole Russia
Really? I sure believe so. I think for unexperienced travellers, this station might be so much better when you know some little secrets. I really liked the atmosphere over here. Not just this station but several really important railway stations close to each other. This gives something special.
@@Trainviking that's true. I do love railways station . You should see one day Vitebskiy railway station in St.Petersburg (first ever railway station in Russia (Russian Empire that time)) also Rizshkiy vokzal in Moscow is nice
And according to my knowledge the name is related to the city of Kazan (1,24 Mio inhabitants , Tatarstan, 700km east of Moscow and station of the famous 'TransSib'))
and not to the country of Kazachstan
What is the music name that playst at the end of the video?
I honestly don't know anymore. I got it from a online music library where I had a subscription so I can use it for youtube.
Nice 🙂
Where are you from?
Thank you:). I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱.
@@Trainviking OK. Hello from Saint Petersburg 🇷🇺! ✌️🙂
@@Trainviking In the video Amsterdam to Berlin you mstae, you are from Amersfoort!
How long was the ride?
I think about 13 hours or so.
@@Trainviking I don't if there is a faster trains than this one between Moscow and Samara.
