It could be a good buy option for someone who's a cool neutral fair and likes to build up shadows. With a good eyeshadow primer and brushes in sable/martens/kolinsky hairs the colours will probably stand out more.

The Cosmos/Universe/Space smells like apple cider? Who knew?! I always had to speed walk past Yankee Candles in the mall back in the day. Just smelling those smells gives me a stomach ache. I know EXACTLY the scent you are describing! Even though the palette is very light in pigment, you made it work for you and got two pretty looks! I think they both looked great on you!

I have a deep complexion so when I saw this palette I knew it wouldn’t work for me. I counted seven shades that I don’t think will look good on me. I have pastel palettes (Natasha Denona’s Retro Glam is one) which I can wear all the light colors and be happy with my eye looks. I don’t know, maybe I could create a few nice looks with this Too Faced palette but I don’t think it’s interesting enough for me to purchase. I did like both looks you create! Finally, I wasn’t home (previous appointment) so I am sad I missed your live! I’ll watch the replay though ❤❤

Hello! So happy to have you here! You know, I admit that I don’t know enough about lower end make up. I do know it’s catching up with high and make up very quickly in both quality and performance. Most mascara and eyeliners are great at the drugstore level, as we call it in America. But I definitely need to look into that more. 💕

This palette needs those sponge applicators, I think that would help such subtle colors to show up better. I actually think it's really pretty, but I already have a ton of neutral palettes.
Hello rebecca! I totally agree. It’s very very pretty but it probably needs only dense dense brushes. The color story could have been executed a little bit better. They are onto something but they didn’t fulfill it. It’s a shame because I agree with you that it has tremendous potential.

I’m looking at this on nordstrom rack but I’m sad to find out it has a scent. I can’t do scented shadows. Too faced matte peach made my eyes water like crazy and it’s the last tf eyeshadows I bought.
It's crazy how many brands are jumping on the 'cosmic' train. Prime example - Mother Pat, with her love of Star Wars! Yet, her cosmic vibes make their way into shadows etc. that have no connection to space. We've just had the ABH Cosmos very close in timing with Cosmic. It's laughable when I go through just my eye-shadows and see all these cosmic names plastered on everything. Ever since the first shadow was named, I guess it probably started back then and hasn't stopped. Honestly, I like the 'other worldly' names, but is it too much to ask that the names reflect the shades? Now, wouldn't that be out of this world? Could anyone imagine how spectacular a PML Mothership would be if it was centred on the Cosmos? What a dream! Names like Celestial, Orion's Belt, Rigel, Evening Sky, Black Hole, Comet's Tail, Event Horizon, Dark Side of the Moon, Space Dust, Radiation etc. Use the names of Planets, well known Comets, Constellations, Nebula (fantastic for multichromes!), Astrological Signs, Moons from other Planets......and the list goes on. That would be my perfect Cosmic Palette to make up for myself too. Watch out Lethal, I'll be coming for your Palette Designer again! It's just when I see the ABH Palette, it doesn't yell 'universe' to me, except for that dark shadow with the glitters. I'm afraid that this Too Faced Cosmic Crush Palette is even more uninspiring. Sure, the shadows apply okay, yet that's not the point of having a themed name. The shadows are meant to reflect the name on the palette. Not really sure that 'Cosmic Crush' was the best name they could come up with. Sounds more like my dying moment from my space craft about to be fired on or slammed into by a meteor! Surely, there must be employees from all these brands that have an artistic imagination, or am I hoping for too much? Lift your game people or the PRINTcesses will come up with a palette to knock the socks off ET! 🇦🇺💖👩🏼🎨
I agree with you it’s almost like everyone needs their version of an outer space palette. Maybe they are hoping a little bit of Pat McGrath will rub off on them!
Imo TF doesn't have hits ALL the time but but sometimes they really shock me. Like their Peach Perfect foundation that I'll never forgive they discontinued 😡 Their shadows not so much but I got one of their lipsticks from their Coco Bold collection and it's the bees knees! ❤

First off what does apple cider have to do with the cosmos? Do they intend an Appletini? 🤣🍸🍎 I don't care much for the Born This Way layout or the cardboard boxing...sure seems like "Cosmic" is a vibe lately!! With the ABH, this and the new ND Starlette mini. But while I love me some pinks, a cosmic palette would have more cobalt blues, silvers and golds 🩵💙🩶💛
We have another comment from community member Johanna where she says that supposedly outer space is supposed to smell like a burnt steak. I am laughing so hard. So definitely not one in the Yankee candle repertoire!
I ended up grabbing the Cosmos from ABH, this palette and that palette essentially have the same branding and a semi similar color story (easy to use nudes mixed in with cool tones/cool tone shimmers). ABH really took it there, this palette did not. I’am excited though to check out Jared Blandino’s new brand Polite Society when it drops! Great review as always Rebecca 💜✨

A lot of things about this seem odd. I’m confused as to why the smell wouldn’t be like sweet tarts or nerds or some other colorful zingy candy. But then I’m also confused about the eyeshadow colors and formula. It doesn’t look bright enough to be cosmic themed. Telescope photos show nebulas with extremely saturated colors and cosmic dust you could translate to glitter for this palette.. more like that individual Charlotte tilbury shadow “cosmic rocks”… granted a color like that is not easy to wear, but if you’re going for a theme, I think you should really go for it. Maybe I just don’t understand because I don’t buy too faced products (not since the start of high school when they still had a luxe sub brand) and maybe it is a brand culture thing I’m not part of? Idk. The demo made me think I’d be okay buying this for my teenage daughter because it isn’t too pigmented or bold, and she wouldn’t look super inappropriate for a teenager, but I don’t even have a daughter yet lol
Heather, I hear you. The branding on this seems confused. As I said in another comment, this is definitely one I bought for review and not for rebecca as i like to call it. They seemed to start with a theme on the packaging and then the theme got weaker with the color story and then broke down completely with the fragrance and performance.
I agree with how you feel on this - underwhelming and all these palates are lately UGH! 😂 It can produce a pretty look as you did in this video. I guess it all depends if you have an extensive eye shadow palate collection. They are faint, although I am drawn to the blue greenish one. One thing I am getting frustrated with is the high end brands eyeshadows not paying off and being way tin subtle
Quincey, if I may get philosophical about make up and you know I like to do that, I have noticed that the younger generation is not wearing a lot of powerful eyeshadow looks. The days of the very intricate make up artist eye and tutorial seems to be fading. Sometimes I wonder if they make the shadows faint simply because the trends right now are skewing to the less elaborate eyes.
@@NotFitforPrintBeauty I agree. I was just noticing people commenting on the new Natasha Denona mini coming out and saying it is boring. And I am thinking how I never see the younger generation even wearing makeup, at most mascara and MAYBE a little blush or highlighter. They certainly don't wear eye makeup most of the time, and if they do it is very natural. I see older women like myself being the ones wearing more makeup. I feel like as we age, we just want to bring some more life and color to our lives because everything (hair, skin etc.) fades. I like neutral boring makeup, but I do like a little oomph even with my neutrals instead of having to take the time to build up, especially in a hurry. I guess I'd rather go in with a light hand and fluffy brush then spend 20 minutes trying to build things up.
@@laurajohnson7836 it’s tiktok too. One shade or one product in a quick one minute review set to music. There is no room for a long complicated tutorial. One of those interesting times when the delivery system changes the trends. I don’t know if that makes sense. But in Los Angeles, for instance, you can wear higher heels because we are in the car all the time. That sort of thing. And communities were people have to walk, sneakers become more fashionable. So here we have a delivery system like TikTok which is very short form and we see the trend change to quick natural make up because that can be done in a minute

A little too subtle with those lighter shades-but also I like it? I've just spent way too much money buying squirrel hair brushes to alleviate all the crazy dark/pigmented shades that normally come in palettes lately.... But I'd rather have control to go lighter than not be able to build up. I like the Too Faced Natural Nudes and Sunset Stripped. But this will be a pass :( Not a fan of the shimmers. I only use the other palettes for the mattes.
They are going back to their roots with the neutral + random purple scheme lol. It’s sad but Too Faced has totally fallen off my radar these past few years! The brand seems to have lost its footing.
I *really* want to like Too Faced, but there's just something about them that is off putting. The quality is just not there. I had the Born This Way neutral palette but the pay off was not good. Sigh!

Honestly, I like the 'other worldly' names, but is it too much to ask that the names reflect the shades? Now, wouldn't that be out of this world? Could anyone imagine how spectacular a PML Mothership would be if it was centred on the Cosmos? What a dream! Names like Celestial, Orion's Belt, Rigel, Evening Sky, Black Hole, Comet's Tail, Event Horizon, Dark Side of the Moon, Space Dust, Radiation etc. Use the names of Planets, well known Comets, Constellations, Nebula (fantastic for multichromes!), Astrological Signs, Moons from other Planets......and the list goes on. That would be my perfect Cosmic Palette to make up for myself too. Watch out Lethal, I'll be coming for your Palette Designer again! It's just when I see the ABH Palette, it doesn't yell 'universe' to me, except for that dark shadow with the glitters. I'm afraid that this Too Faced Cosmic Crush Palette is even more uninspiring. Sure, the shadows apply okay, yet that's not the point of having a themed name. The shadows are meant to reflect the name on the palette. Not really sure that 'Cosmic Crush' was the best name they could come up with. Sounds more like my dying moment from my space craft about to be fired on or slammed into by a meteor! Surely, there must be employees from all these brands that have an artistic imagination, or am I hoping for too much? Lift your game people or the PRINTcesses will come up with a palette to knock the socks off ET! 🇦🇺💖👩🏼🎨
I agree with you it’s almost like everyone needs their version of an outer space palette. Maybe they are hoping a little bit of Pat McGrath will rub off on them!
Imo TF doesn't have hits ALL the time but but sometimes they really shock me. Like their Peach Perfect foundation that I'll never forgive they discontinued 😡 Their shadows not so much but I got one of their lipsticks from their Coco Bold collection and it's the bees knees! ❤

I don't care much for the Born This Way layout or the cardboard boxing...sure seems like "Cosmic" is a vibe lately!! With the ABH, this and the new ND Starlette mini. But while I love me some pinks, a cosmic palette would have more cobalt blues, silvers and golds 🩵💙🩶💛

I ended up grabbing the Cosmos from ABH, this palette and that palette essentially have the same branding and a semi similar color story (easy to use nudes mixed in with cool tones/cool tone shimmers). ABH really took it there, this palette did not. I’am excited though to check out Jared Blandino’s new brand Polite Society when it drops! Great review as always Rebecca 💜✨

A lot of things about this seem odd. I’m confused as to why the smell wouldn’t be like sweet tarts or nerds or some other colorful zingy candy. But then I’m also confused about the eyeshadow colors and formula. It doesn’t look bright enough to be cosmic themed. Telescope photos show nebulas with extremely saturated colors and cosmic dust you could translate to glitter for this palette.. more like that individual Charlotte tilbury shadow “cosmic rocks”… granted a color like that is not easy to wear, but if you’re going for a theme, I think you should really go for it. Maybe I just don’t understand because I don’t buy too faced products (not since the start of high school when they still had a luxe sub brand) and maybe it is a brand culture thing I’m not part of? Idk. The demo made me think I’d be okay buying this for my teenage daughter because it isn’t too pigmented or bold, and she wouldn’t look super inappropriate for a teenager, but I don’t even have a daughter yet lol
Heather, I hear you. The branding on this seems confused. As I said in another comment, this is definitely one I bought for review and not for rebecca as i like to call it. They seemed to start with a theme on the packaging and then the theme got weaker with the color story and then broke down completely with the fragrance and performance.
I agree with how you feel on this - underwhelming and all these palates are lately UGH! 😂 It can produce a pretty look as you did in this video. I guess it all depends if you have an extensive eye shadow palate collection. They are faint, although I am drawn to the blue greenish one. One thing I am getting frustrated with is the high end brands eyeshadows not paying off and being way tin subtle
Quincey, if I may get philosophical about make up and you know I like to do that, I have noticed that the younger generation is not wearing a lot of powerful eyeshadow looks. The days of the very intricate make up artist eye and tutorial seems to be fading. Sometimes I wonder if they make the shadows faint simply because the trends right now are skewing to the less elaborate eyes.

@@NotFitforPrintBeauty I agree. I was just noticing people commenting on the new Natasha Denona mini coming out and saying it is boring. And I am thinking how I never see the younger generation even wearing makeup, at most mascara and MAYBE a little blush or highlighter. They certainly don't wear eye makeup most of the time, and if they do it is very natural. I see older women like myself being the ones wearing more makeup. I feel like as we age, we just want to bring some more life and color to our lives because everything (hair, skin etc.) fades. I like neutral boring makeup, but I do like a little oomph even with my neutrals instead of having to take the time to build up, especially in a hurry. I guess I'd rather go in with a light hand and fluffy brush then spend 20 minutes trying to build things up.

@@laurajohnson7836 it’s tiktok too. One shade or one product in a quick one minute review set to music. There is no room for a long complicated tutorial. One of those interesting times when the delivery system changes the trends. I don’t know if that makes sense. But in Los Angeles, for instance, you can wear higher heels because we are in the car all the time. That sort of thing. And communities were people have to walk, sneakers become more fashionable. So here we have a delivery system like TikTok which is very short form and we see the trend change to quick natural make up because that can be done in a minute

A little too subtle with those lighter shades-but also I like it? I've just spent way too much money buying squirrel hair brushes to alleviate all the crazy dark/pigmented shades that normally come in palettes lately.... But I'd rather have control to go lighter than not be able to build up. I like the Too Faced Natural Nudes and Sunset Stripped. But this will be a pass :( Not a fan of the shimmers. I only use the other palettes for the mattes.

They are going back to their roots with the neutral + random purple scheme lol. It’s sad but Too Faced has totally fallen off my radar these past few years! The brand seems to have lost its footing.

I *really* want to like Too Faced, but there's just something about them that is off putting. The quality is just not there. I had the Born This Way neutral palette but the pay off was not good. Sigh!

Nah this isn't cosmic. I think the ABH one is a better interpretation of the theme. Until I saw all the shade names I thought id misunderstood!
Right! The branding is confused. They get the packaging and they get the names but the shades and performance kind of breakdown the theme
