Funny how this video was made 2 years ago but in the last few days there has been so many more views and comments. I'm guessing because of the recent wall yeller fans got curious lol.
This is very cool. Always wondered what it looked like. ANYONE else remember the planes flying banners over the BB house in seasons 1-5? With messages to the house quests? I wonder why they don't do that anymore?
CBS Lawyers contacted the Pilot that did the Banners and told him if he didn't(" STOP THAT")BB STYLE he would be sued. There is a video of it some where on ytube. So he stopped doing it. I heard that they had a Watch Tower for when the HGs were outside and if a plane came they would have them go back inside. CBS is very litigious they don't mess around.
Such a great breakdown of the bb house. The area (2:36) that you said was an entrance/production only is the old season 1-5 bb house. After season 6 they built the house inside of the lot building where it’s been ever since .It’s cool they still have the og house on set. Even though it’s probably used for editing or crew.
This video was posted 2yrs ago and we’re just now seeing it while crappy bb-all stars is on .. off subject Dani and David are annoying 🙄 .. good video thx!
Ava Vinovrski I think cynopt means on their own property, if they could fly the drone high enough to see it. It’s not prohibited because it’s over their own property.
wowookie depending on where your house is yes. The FAA essentially owns the sky above your house. There are regulations for flying drones such as can’t exceed 400 feet AGL, can’t fly in a controlled airspace (5 miles away from any airport/heli pad), can’t fly over moving vehicles/people. It sounds tedious but if caught, the FAA will fine you.
Yeah you probably could. In theory lol. But just like you don’t have any say over the airplanes/helicopters that fly over your house, there is an upper limit if you’re caught flying a personal drone too high. IMO, not really worth it to try. The footage you get wouldn’t be better than the TV footage and you’re going way out of your way for what will always be a very minor spoiler. “Ooh they’re setting up a new OTEV...” or “hey look it’s another slip n slide comp”
@@Golaki they don't take phones away they make you turn them off before entering the Soundstage and if you are caught they kick you off the property. They do ask that you leave your phone in your car before entering but since you are having to wait hours before heading to the Soundstage it makes it hard to enforce during that time since everyone waits across the lot by the parking garage except for the family and vets that will be in the audience since they go straight to the Soundstage and wait in a lounge area next the the live show audience seating area and take their seats right before the Julie takes the stage.
The original BB house from the first 5 seasons was actually just north of this lot once you cross the los Angeles river. On a then-empty lot, it's now labeled as "CBS Broadcasting" on Google Maps. You can see it in season 2 when Will and Bunky take their helicopter ride. You can even clearly see the little building the evicted houseguests walked out into for their interviews with Julie!
Damn wall yellers are even more hardcore! I thought they just had to go on the road and be against the wall but CBS wouldn't allow that so they have to cross a fucking river and shout at the top of their lungs into a megaphone. I'd never do it but they have my respect for their dedication.
The recent wall yeller send me here. Lol I’m interested in knowing what season it was. I think I missed it. I watched up until about season 12 then started up again at 20.
I believe it's because of the whole political atmosphere outside of the house. Tyler not playing the game in order to advance people of color? David, an all star after being the first evicted in his season? Plus the whole thing with pregame alliances
I watch some of the other versions of Big Brother also, and I actually managed to find the Big Brother Australia house (the old one. I think the show was rebooted and is filmed elsewhere now) without even looking anything up. They would give out enough info on the show itself so I just kept zooming in and pinpointing until I found the amusement park the studio is in, and from there, I found the house itself, based on the location in proximity to rides nearby and a faded logo on the roof (they had already stopped making the show there by at least a few years at the time of google maps' images). I found the UK and Canada houses also but I did have to look them up more directly.
The Big Brother Australia houses really do have an interesting history. To start with and sadly the original house was demolished in 2019 after being completely destroyed by a fire some kids caused. Then the show's reboot for Season 12 (2020) and 13 (2021) the house was built in an old World War II bunker located in Sydney Harbour's North Head. For Big Brother VIP 2 (2021) the house had to be dismantled and moved due to it causing concern for local wild life. The new house location is in Sydney Olympic Park and I believe it is built in a way that when they are not filming it can be completely dismantled.
Only for the comps since they can't be in the yard with them aside from the producers the rest of the time they are in the walls scurrying around including for the backyard which proved Helen wasn't pushed since noone in production had access to the yard.
The studio right next to it is where, "The Talk", is filmed. Which Julie Chen also used to host. The studio on the opposite end of the building is where, "Hot In Cleveland", with Betty White used to film. I'm not sure what's there now.

Because it's on a WORKING FILM LOT so they can't have random people walking around the lot that aren't covered by their insurance coverage. Universal Studios films in such a small portion that guests actually have free reign access to and 99% of that time the scene requires random guests to pass through anyway that it's impossible for a guest to ruin the shot. The rest of the time guests would be showing up on camera they will be hand picked to be audience members for a taping or would be on a studio tour tram passing by being instructed to remain quiet because there is filming in progress in that area.
Across the river there are actual homes but on the lot those are production housing many times used just as offices but can be lived in during filming since they have the basics inside and can be used as practical sets for filming if need be.
Why not just send a drone over? If I'm ever on Big brother that's how I'm going to get my weed delivered and whatever other stuff I'll use to make people either sick or fall asleep and throw them off on competition days
