On top of the Tayla Swiff Enchanted Wildest Dreams mashup fiasco, I saw a trailer somewhere for a kids movie and it had Bad Blood playing in the background. It was Taylor's Version. 1989 has to be coming next. Also I love the Taylor's Version and Harry Styles mugs.

Unless they trade mark the name under that category, she can still go forward with that name. Honestly, this is just business. It is her middle name and her application went through because it wasn't trademark on that category. Now, she wouldn't be able to expand to clothing with it. This will just help them even more because it gives them more exposure

You feel bad for a woman who dismissed a self made company’s concerns back in 2018 ON PURPOSE, and went ahead with the launch of her brand knowing it would harm the other business? If this move doesn’t scream arrogance and privilege, idk what does. She could have named it literally anything else. Considering her fame post marriage and the Jailey fan base, she would have a large customer base regardless. But she chose to put the other company in trouble by going ahead with the launch despite requested not to. Let’s not be blinded by admiration for celebrities shall we? Some of them are hiding behind a facade so that the audience stays loyal to them and they can profit out of them later.

I’m surprised that reactions from clever have been so neutral. Please don’t jump down my throat about this, interwebs, I know the world is not at stake but actually, I think that the living of 2 women and whoever they may employ could actually be. Now I know skin care is not clothing but they both do, I believe, coke under a similar enough umbrella, particular given they are almost always the next stepping stones for brand expansion from one to the other that if you happen to have worked your butt off to be building a fashion line with momentum but not what I’d say seems to be a heap of job security, then a celebrity whose name brings automatic clout to any brand she cares to start before she begins (I said begins, not to imply she won’t but it does have to be said she’s using every scrap she’s got here with no care to who she’s stepping on as she’s doing it) to even trade. Mrs Bieber was made aware of this issue years ago, she just doesn’t care about it because instead of cleverly using an anagram of her first name or her Christian and married names or, as the Olsen twins have done (yes,i know they have also have self named lines too but I think they’d have made changes had it ever been an issue.) I think there is a fundamental lack of class here from Mrs Bieber’s side here and it shows in the wording of the actual documents. These women don’t want this drama. They want to carry on and make beautiful clothes. When it comes down to it, there are many parts of her name, her identity that Mrs Bieber can utilise to make this line fresh and cool and give it whatever vibe she wants to. Why screw up the fate of a line you’ve known for years is successful but not successful enough to weather confusion for you to win one over when people search that brand on google and social media. It’s very entitled.
