One of the best android phone designs ever. Compact size, beautiful design, perfect finger print placement. I regretted trading mine in so i bought a refurbished one for 90 bucks. Still plenty fast for 99 percent of users.
Finger placement should have been a little lower, and the battery degraded so quickly in the 3 years I had it. By the time I sold mine it could barely survive 2 hours of use.
this is my current phone, ive been using an unlocked and refurbished unit for years... its an amazing little phone and the perfect size for my tiny man hands.
@@techshowyt It's actually very helpfull on larger phones. you can drag it to the edge of the screen and just click it. I found it more accessible than even the volume buttons
For a retired flagship phone that's much faster than a new budget phone and in a mint condition, only $80?!?!?!?!? I'm astounded, man! How?!?!?! Knowing the Galaxy A phone I use, I really want to get this. I've always liked the Galaxy S10e for its compact size and beautiful build. It doesn't look 5 years old.
Samsung user here, from s10 to s22 i used 7 samsung and s10e still my fav daily drive because how compact the phone is and with s22ultra for entertainment (game, youtube, dll)
Aw man i remember i really wanted to get this phone for my collection, but im kinda limited. For some reason it looks like amazon just blacklisted the renewed s10s, dont know why maybe they were just too old, but if i can i will still try and get this for my collection.
looking for a new daily driver for my mother, and i think this would be the perfect fit, since if she would need help with the device, i can help very easily since ive used samsungs all my life (current daily driver is an S21). she is also upgrading from a crappy umidigi (chinese amazon company) phone that got water damaged. thoughts? all she would use it for is online banking, calling, texting, and web browsing.
I would absolutely recommend this phone, only thing you'd want to keep in mind is battery life. It may need to be recharged somewhat frequently, so you'd probably want to make sure to keep a charger in your car and at your desk like I did. Other than that, this phone is awesome
Amazing compact phone. Got it in 2022, still amazing. A bit stuttering somestimes (my country got the exynos model), but still good for everyday needs. Features of a flagship still holds up for price of an entry level phone (the only thing that very lacking is battery life, and temps)
I still got mine. The only issue is the horrendous battery life. The s10e size is amazing. I love the size. The camera is amazing and the performance is amazing!
My favourite phone ever. Only negative for me was the small battery life. Running it in 2024 is okay if you don't mind the lack of android and security updates since 2023. Otherwise it still feels smooth enough for me, performs good in emulation, and have the SD card slot (!!). That size was great too even for my bigger hands. One hand use is easy with this.
I'm still rockin' a S10+...however, I find the camera quality not being as good as it could be. Other then that, the S10 series (e, +, 5g) are pretty amazing considering their age. ✌️
i used the s10e for a while a couple years ago and i loved that phone, however it did slow down over time which was disappointing. other than that, i think it’s a great phone as long as you don’t care about having the fastest latest tech
theres a utuber had a video of s6 line still running 98% of majority of apps. like maps gmail youtube and etc. that alone is a proof that s10 and note 10 line could easily work up until year 2030. granted you change battery with new one every 4 to 5yrs.
Definitely the Pixel 5. The S10e is still a really good phone, but I've had so much personal success with Pixels, I'd have to recommend going with one of those. I just haven't spent enough time with any Samsung phone to recommend them. That may change soon though
Sad that Samsung never made another S.. e phone. I also have mine and its great. Only thing I that keeps me from using it now is the weak battery. Its especially bad on the Exynos version.
I was disappointed because it was almost as good as their flagship phones at the time. I think they never made another one because the regular S phones are now of a similar size to the E.
Don't change the battery yourself like I did twice with what seemed like a genuine one. Not that it's too hard but it did'nt change anything for me at all as I learned after that samsung does something specific related to some firmware calibration when they replace them. Me I still have the deterioration warning telling me to change the battery, even after a full factory reset. Make it replace by samsung imo.
IDK... Samsung must've "Had all the ducks in a row" when they had designed ALL their 10th Anniversary Flagship Galaxy S Phones... My Sister has an S10 plus and I have an s10e, and BOTH are still going strong!
In 2024, I don’t think it makes any sense to go any further back than the s21 series. Because you still get some support without breaking the bank. The s10e particularly was notorious for horrible battery life even new so I wouldn’t even consider it. You’re much better off getting a base model s21 that’s going for around $200 with better battery and overall better specs. Also, I wouldn’t recommend any Pixel phone used or new. Had a 5a recently brick up after a Google Play update. So then you’ve basically bought an overpriced paper weight.
s21 is on exyshit (888 is also exyshit in disguise), terrible thermal and battery management. I'd pick up s20fe, it's better choice even on android 13, especially when newer versions doesn't bring that much what I'd consider useful, some minor rearrangements. And u can install custom os on it so there's no need to whine about lack of updates. That's what producers do to forsake you to buy newer (more expensive) phone and you don't get much out of it.
Bought this phone brand new on release day in 2019, and it's still holding up, but offcourse it's starting to show it's age, shame Samsung forces people to there A-series if you wan't an SD card slot. The battery life is dramatic these days, i get arround 3 hours on screen time, even less with heavy UA-cam use. I'm currently looking at Nothing Phone 2a, A55 Galaxy and Pixel7a, nothing Phone and Pixel don't have SD slots and the A55 and 2a are monstrosities of a phone... So i'm not keen on "upgrading" Anyways , i came from Iphone 5S/6/6S+/X to the Galaxy S10E and it has been the best phone i ever had, gonna miss the regular size of this phone, it's brilliant for one hand use and it fits my pockets easily.
The BIGGEST problem is the lack of security feature updates! These older phones will NOT receive critical updates and could leave you vulnerable to attacks regardless of anti-virus or Google play updates! The Galaxy S10 or older are no longer receive updates or are now unsupported and you are risking security issues that will compromise your data! Yes, these older phones will run just fine today and do everything you need but you are at risk!
@@JoshLivesAudio ; Lmao is right! Samsung releases updates that protect yr phone from critical hacks that sadly most people are oblivious to. They then wonder how they got hacked and possibly lost MONEY, account control, or worse! I had to ditch my S20FE for this reason plus I wanted the NEW features the S23 & 24 series has to offer which is HUGE for me and even the update to Android 14 is a major plus.
You’re being paranoid for no reason. I refuse to update any of my gadgets. Ever. They always ruin the performance. “Security updates” are a fuking joke.
@@furiahispanica3823 ; The Samsung A54 or A35 in the US are pretty good upgrade options for yr S10E that will actually offer more features and will run just as fast if not faster since you mentioned the need for a headphone jack with ALL the latest security updates to boot! I upgraded from the S20FE to the S23FE which I got on Amazon for a great price of $509 last year. Only bummer is the lack of the SD card option. But I use DEX and really need the wireless charging options the "A" series phones do NOT have. It realy comes down to your budget and features that you want. I bought the 256GB option with the S23FE so I really have NO need for that SD card as I'm only using 26% fully loaded with tons of apps and stored music. That second shutter button is a feature for accessibilty. It pops up when you hold and drag away the button. And can be put back to remove it.
