Hearing the joy in your voice about racing, regardless of the finishing position makes me so happy for you. At the end of the day it’s about enjoying the journey. Congrats on such a great year!
I’m registered for the Ironman 70.3 Augusta and would love to see you there! It’s at a bad time of the year for you though. At 57, I did my first 70.3 in Wisconsin this year and had a great time and learned a huge amount. My 86 year old mother was born in Augusta and hasn’t been back in about 60 years. She also hasn’t seen me tri yet. This will give her the opportunity for a trip down memory lane and see me participate in my new hobby/obsession/lifestyle at the same time. We’re looking forward to it.
I’d love to see you race Victoria 70.3 on the west coast of Canada. It’s a spectacular, beautiful part of the world and course. You might see orcas while on the bike! It’s at the end of May and is a terrific late spring race in North America. Hope to see you here next May! Huge congratulations to you and all you have accomplished in 2022. You are such an inspiration to so many of us around the world. ❤
I would absolutely love to see you racing in New Zealand. 2023 New Zeland will be my first ever 70.3Ironman Race, I'm just 17 and you are an absolute inspiration to me, watching your videos immediately boosts up my confidence and motivation because if you really want something, that goal will be achieved no matter what and my goal is complete it. I always watch your videos whenever I'm doing long runs on the treadmill, it makes me think: "no you can't stop now, just go step by step, you have done 3km now you have 18 left, you can do it, look how far Lucy has gone after that terrible injury." Congratulations for the amazing year Lucy, be extremely proud of yourself!
Congrats on an amazing year Lucy! I’d love to see you back racing at the Collins cup next year! I’d also love to see you trying short course again like Super League (cause you were really good in the arena games last year)or racing at the World Series at Leeds, it’s a home course so it would have that extra support! Also of course, Kona its just such an amazing race with all the build up too. And after you getting second this year not even knowing if you’d be able to race at the start of the year is really inspiring. Hopefully next year will be the year! 🤞 Have a well deserved off season now! 😊👏
Love this video! ❤Congratulations on a great season Lucy, it is even more amazing to see you racing after such a big setback at the beginning of the year. You are such an inspiration and my biggest role model. I had an injury myself at the beginning of the year and it helped me a lot to see how you dealt with it. Keep doing your thing! Next year you should definitely race in Hamburg, it is such a cool city and I would love to come to see you race. Wishing you all the best for your off season and I can't wait to meet the new member of Team Charles-Barclay 🐶
Well done on such a fantastic season, Lucy. It has been very insightful to see glimpses into your year. You have gone from strength to strength and it has been incredible to watch how you have grown within the year. I would love to see you compete in Australia. Maybe at an Ironman in Busselton. Busselton is such a a beautiful place in Western Australia. Although hot, the beach scenery is truly breathtaking. Have a lovely rest and congratulations on the new puppy ❤️
Lucy what a epic year for you and you're team but never give up on the fight 💪. Huge congrats on The Word Championship. I will love to see you racing at IM 70.3 SAN JUAN PUERTO RICO,don't worry about the cold here 😂😂 is warm and hot with a beautiful race course. Enjoy Christmas with you're love ones 💙🧜♀️ 🏊♂️🚴♂️🏃♂️
I think you would enjoy the Ironman 70.3 that just started two years ago in Roanoke, Virginia in the United States. Roanoke is deemed the mountain bike capital of the east coast and we had the women's United States cycling team even stay and train here because of our hilly terrain. Lance Armstrong even used to train in our area. We are nestled in the Appalachian Mountains, and it is absolutely beautiful. When I fly into Roanoke, it gives me the same feeling of when I fly into Scotland. Beautiful and green. Just a thought. Like I said, it is a new destination for Ironman so it's still probably pretty small when it comes to how many people it attracts compared to other Ironman's. Thank you for inspiring so many people. I can't wait until my 2 year old has her first #battlebraids someday. You are creating a movement for little girls to look up to.
Congrats on an incredible year Lucy! It was super inspiring to see your journey to come back to racing and doing so well. I would absolutely love to see you racing Ironman Brazil, it’s a fast course so it would be interesting too see you racing here. Hope you have an amazing (and well deserved) off season.
Congrats on a great year and becoming healthy again. You inspire a lot of people on not giving up just because the doctors say you can't race again or your career is done. You fought back and returned stronger, more educated and hungry for the win. March is just around the corner and so is the Ironman New Zealand or one of your favorite spots Ironman Lanzarote. Hope you can go and see what the competition has for you. At Lanzarote, you can do your training camp and go straight into the race. Just a thought. Daytona is just around the corner also. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Be lovely to see you race in the U.K. at the Outlaw Holkham Half or The Vitruvian! Well done to you and your whole team for a life affirming display of hard work and self belief through the 2022 season and all it through at you
Now that you know you can deal with the cold really well, you should definitely hop across the pond and come to Ireland in August for IM Ireland Cork!! 🇮🇪 Congratulations on your comback. So super inspiring watching your comeback on my early morning turbo sessions!! Thank you for sharing the struggles, the journey and the outcomes. Best wishes from 💚☘☘☘. Aoife
Id love to see you in IronMan cork!! Northern Ireland doesnt (Yet) have any Ironman events and so this is our 'local'. Its a gnarly swim, hilly bike and the weather is never on any ones side, but the veiw makes up for all of that!! Plus the Irish charm is always a bonus - hope to see you there sometime soon. Congratulations again on an amazing end of season, Ive been following you for years and just wanted to tell you how proud I am of you - enjoy pickle
Great video to cap off an inspiring season. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Of course we'd love to see you in So Cal at the Oceanside 70.3.
Super stoked to pull up youtube and see that this just uploaded - definitely a good start to the day. Ironman Des Moines would be neat. Maybe Iowa isn't exactly everyone's idea of a good time but because it's a giant cornfield, it is guaranteed flat course, haha. Plus the corn is pretty good. Anyhoo, Cheers from Iowa !
Really love watching you guys race! Hope I can watch you race here in California. Hands down to your husband Reece who is all out in supporting you! Have a blessed Christmas and Happy New Year!
What an inspiring come back this year; keep that spirit of thankfulness! IMLP is a classic that every pro should experience at least once... :D God bless, Megan
Aw bless you ..that video made me so happy and laugh such a lot. well done on a great season after a difficult year but mainly for maintaining such a positive attitude, sense of humour and for your warmth towards your fellow athletes. PS Pickle...yessssssss
Roth and of course Kona. You and your incredible spirit has just opend my eyes and mind for this sport. You got me on the bike and its great. Thanks for that anyway. Keep goinig the way you do!
Great attitude as always! We're so impressed with what you've been able to pull out in the second half of this year. And agree, the women's field is so deep and impressive right now and it's great to see the athletes having so much respect for each other.
11:39 - ive been told by multiple people there is either a 3 day adjustment period, or two weeks (odd that) adjustment when coming down from altitude for peak performance. maybe you left yourself a day short? What did you do last year? Was it a 2 or 3 day transition down the mountain. I cant recall.
can't stop laughing at the images of Reece in his "cold gear" getup when you had that big snowfall! great vlog Lucy, great race, honestly sorry you felt like trash but to even be on the podium 3 weeks after coming in second at worlds in Kona is just full on beast mode no matter how you look at it. What a comeback after your injury! congrats!
congrats on an incredible, compact comeback season!! I’d love to see you back out on the PTO Tour, particularly the European Open and Collins Cup! Looking forward to cheering you on in your 2023 season, wherever it brings you!
You conquered your “impossible” this year Lucy!!! So incredible!!! You have to come to Australia…absolutely beautiful (but I’m a little biased as it’s home-seriously, I think it would play to your strengths since u like the heat/humidity!) …SO much R & D into “bin bag” cold race tech!!🤣 Makes complete sense in my mind!… Definitely think ur onto something there! Maybe Team Charles Barclay needs to patent that!!
I would love to see you doing Challange Roth again. It is basicaly my home race :) Well done with your recovery and amazing comeback this year. Such difficult times say more about the caliber of athlete you are than easy times ever could. Just keep doing what you do. You are amazing.

I am not ready for a full but I did the 70.3 this year as my first half there which qualified me for the World Championships! It’s a beautiful place! I briefly saw you before your race at worlds and my age group 35-39 started right as you were coming out of the water! It was really motivating to see you ladies come out just as we were starting. I started in Triathlon in 2029 and have watch you ever since! Thank you for all your positive videos! Looking forward to what next year brings!

Always enjoy the content and is inspiring! IM in Cairns on the Great Barrier Reef, I can imagine a more scenic place on earth to race and to promote. Us Aussies would love to see you guys I sure of it.
Congrats to such an amazing season Lucy. I felt so sorry for you when I heard about your hip fracture - it's unbelievable how you came back from all of this. Congrsts to Reece too - he was struggeling so much at the beginning of the year, I'm glad, he also came back strong and healthy! I'd love to see you (both?) race at Ironman Frankfurt or Hamburg next year🥰 Greetings to Reece, Lola, Pickle and you - I love your videos!
I'd love to see you race either Ironman Wales or Lake Placid-both places I love! Congrats on the new puppy and your comeback! It's so great to see you racing again!
Go for the Nice Ironman in France! It’s beautiful, lots of people are cheering! I’ve been in Kona and watched the race, and I’ve decided to start triathlon next year!! 🎉
Amazing finish to the year Lucy! Can’t wait to see what you will achieve next season!! Would love to see you race The Lakesman Full next year, going to be my first ever half distance (70.3) event and can’t wait!!
Escape from Alcatraz, it’s my favorite race to date after Bermuda and I don’t think you are doing short course. Alcatraz is a fun distance and has spectacular views, plus you get to run on the beach!
Hi Lucy! I would love to see you in Finland at the 70.3 World Championships....I'll be there too! Would love to say hi! Thanks for sharing your journey....congrats on a great season!
Well done on your achievements after your injury. It would be great to see you race in Youghal , Co Cork Ireland. You might need the bin bag again as can’t depend on the weather over here . Enjoy the off season. 🏊♂️🚴🏃♂️
I would love to see you at the London Marathon again! I think that was so amazing how you compete in so many sports, similar to the olympic trials for swimming!
It would be awesome if you raced in ironman cairns next June. It is a scenic corse and is in the heart of a rainforest. Your determination this year has shown that you are a strong athlete and can achieve anything. Congrats on 4th.
I would love to see you racing at Challenge Roth 2023. It will be my first long distance and I would love to share the course with you! The first time I was in Roth as a visitor and I saw your battle with Danni Bleymehl, this was so amazing! Keep pushing!
Hi, it has to be,Tenby Pembrokeshire, for Ironman Wales. For a warm Welsh welcome and awesome atmosphere. Well done on all your achievements coming back from injury. 👋
20:00 - ha! I have gone right off ultra dark/reflective-mirror lenses on swim googles. I use a ‘transition’ lense swim google outdoors, which is never so dark that even in the predawn i cant see where i am going, and in full sunlight the transition to Smokey lenses is always enough so there is no glare, no matter how sunny it is. I always pack two googles and also a clear pair (3 in total, lols), ‘just in case’ (and cause I’m paranoid - i wear contacts and i am so blind (-7 scripts) that i cant see where im going if they fall out so Im always super focused on always having good fitting eyewear, lols)
I'd love to see you do the Mont-Tremblant Ironman! It is such a challenging course but a really fun one too! Plus the ambiance is amazing and everyone there is so nice
Your videos are so fun and natural! Love how there was a bit of a tiff regarding the bin bag overhead vs step in and ended up being Reece's design. For a race? Do Hamburg!!!
I would love to see you either in New Zealand or Australia as the views are so beautiful❤️ Congratulations on your amazing comeback your determination to come back and not let the injury defeat you is so inspiring!!
Hello Lucy, for the beginning of the season Australia or New Zealnd would be a good starter. For the year end definitly in Israel where Patrik Lange is competing at the end of November over the full distance. The challenge Roth definitly welcomes you with the best audience over all long distance races - Greetings from Germany
Thanks for making me a Roka winner and for giving me a phenomenal autographed photo. You are a generous ambassador of your sport. Because of you, I am a patron of the companies you partner with. Sometimes it good to receive a thanks, absent an ask. Continued joy, great health, and prosperity!
Congratulations on the results and the season you had Lucy! Especially with everything you went through in recovering from your injury. An interesting place for you to visit and compete in is Port Macquarie NSW, Australia, a beautiful place that compliments a triathlon, I’m looking forward to doing my first 70.3 there in May 2023.
congratulations Lucy.👏👏 It's very amazing, how you come back and it's inspiration for all of as💪. I want to see you on the Challenge Samorin or Collins Cup in Slovakia
Lucy, simply no words for the season you and your team have had…maybe “stunning” is the most appropriate, but I’m not sure..congrats for the incredible results! Have you ever thought about racing “The Norseman”? I would really like to see you in there..
I loved watching the race live and then this video. I never knew so much went into a race until I started following you. I would love to see you race in Tennessee or Florida so I could see you race in real life!

My favorite athlete. Huge surprise to jump on the trainer early this morning to find a new video. Congrats on your accomplishments the year and thank you for being transparent and bringing us along for the ride. We know it’s not easy to open up during rough patches. So far I am signed up for Des Moines 70.3 next year so naturally would love to meet you there 😍 will be choosing my race schedule in the next month. But curious, any plans or interest in marathons or bike races? Would be cool to see you race one!
Hope to see you in Asia sometime! Helen from Singapore. Been suffered from hip fracture since September and missed my London marathon. Your videos are a way for me to spend my time on the bike and ecliptical everyday. Your return boosted my confidence to return to marathon soon!
As an athlete and endurance sport dietitian I loved watching your rehab process with the RedBull sports med team! You and Reece should race Des Moines, Iowa USA 70.3 next season - such a fun fast course!
I’d love to see you racing Ironman Copenhagen in August. The crowds are amazing and the scenery is wonderful! But the best thing are cycle paths which are basically everywhere even at the countryside.

Trash bag trick is awesome! I’ve used a trash bag wrapped around waist to cover my backside for winter trail runs! Love the under the tri suit idea!
Congrats on a great year and becoming healthy again. You inspire a lot of people on not giving up just because the doctors say you can't race again or your career is done.
We’d love to see you back in the Dallas Fort-Worth metroplex! Watching you race this year was the absolute best!
Congrats idol Lucy!! See you in 70.3 Texas 2023. 😁😁😁

Your videos are so fun and natural! Love how there was a bit of a tiff regarding the bin bag overhead vs step in and ended up being Reece's design. For a race? Do Hamburg!!!
