This is my favourite painting from all your paintings and I love that you showed the trial and error part of your process too. More videos like these please!
I'm with you on your contempt of visible canvas texture. I gesso then dry then I use a palm sander w/ fine grit and sand. I repeat as many times as is needed - till the surface is as smooth as a baby's behind. Yes it's messy but my studio has a door to the outside. It's so lovely to paint on.😮
Beautiful. And especially impressive that you've used what space was available to you. Congratulations on a fine painting and an impressive resourcefulness.
😛😃😋🤩🎨🎨🎨🎉SO MUCH PAINT!! How long do your paintings take from beginning to finally being dry enough to sell? I presume you sell these pretty quickly? One of the great masters of our times, dare I say. A great inspiration, makes me want to pack in my job and paint from morning til night every day, I bloomin’ love painting! And seeing such a unique artist at work is totally inspiring and it fuels the creative drive, and gives me a new vigour to improve, and keep on growing and learning and creating. Thanks for your inspiring spirit, this is an amazing channel, can’t wait for more…
Love how you kept the painting loose even though working from photos (which can often dictate too much and cause too much fiddling with details) Nice use of muted colour. As King Crimson said in one of their tracks/songs. "I Like It":- "Indiscipline" by King Crimson. I do remember one thing. It took hours and hours but.. by the time I was done with it, I was so involved, I didn't know what to think. I carried it around with me for days and days.. playing little games like, not looking at it for a whole day and then... looking at it. to see if I still liked it. I did. I repeat myself when under stress. I repeat myself when under stress. I repeat myself when under stress. I repeat myself when under stress. I repeat.. The more I look at it, the more I like it. I do think it's good. The fact is... no matter how closely I study it, no matter how I take it apart, no matter how I break it down, It remains consistent. It remains consistent. I wish you were here to see it. I like it.
Could I suggest that you fast forward the making of your panel and the slowness of the first colour you put on. That took up half the video and was very slow. Then, the best part, the actual painting, you put on with speed. Perhaps reversing these two elements would be better. I wanted to see how you paint, not cutting and nailing bits of wood. Thanks.
If you have to paint large then your work is weak. All abstract painters paint large because their work can’t hold up being small. The perfect example is Vermeer.

Good stuff, thanks for sharing.
Bro your IG link isn't working.
What's your pallette look like; like as far a color range?
You used the untreated side ?
Nice work🤩😍👏
i like it, very good painting
You should do murals for your local community!
AMAZING 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
😍😍😍😍😍
I’ve had the privilege of bathing feisty cats after they stepped and rolled in oil paint😢. It was a dark day
🐱🎨
Do you sell originals?
Can you please tell what is the material you painted on?
It looked like masonite with the rough side for painting so I assume oil primer as it is acidic.
What did you mix your paint with for your underpainting?
I think Gamsol,solvent from Gamblin 👍🏼
Bello proprio.
Quella luce mi riporta all angosciante desolazione dei quadri di Hopper.
4:39 what is this?
gel oil painting medium, i'm guessing?
Love the cat
all that expensive oil paint, gotta be rich to even paint in this manner. **cries in poor**
If I spent $200 on paint my wife would kill me.
You must spend a lot on materials.

Interesting take.. I don’t agree, but I’ve never really tried to see it that way.
