  • Daniel Daves and his wife Tracy reside in Chiriqui, Panama where they operate a 12 month growing, prototype, educational farm, and dehydration center in Potrerillos. He sells foods from his greenhouses one day a week so he can support an operation to give food away to needy families in Panama. He created a dehydration system to dry large volumes of nutrient-rich foods then turn them into a powder that can be added to soups or rice. Indigenous families and low-income people often eat a diet void of nutrition, but Dr. Daves' powder can change that! Daniel's objective is for people worldwide to create similar operations as soon as possible. His book Global Food Revolution will explain why you need to get involved and how.

    Hubby and I have 2 years before retirement and thinking about Panama. Been there before and loved it. Would love to volunteer at your place. This would give meaning and purpose to retirement. Thank you for showing us your farm. We are organic gardeners in the states.

    Why not start a program that actually teaches the people how to grow their own that way they don't have to depend on you to being them.

    The sign says that Dr. Daves grows garlic in Panama. I'd love to know what varieties of garlic grow bulbs there. Living in FL now; looking to move to Panama, and I miss being able to grow garlic because, day length.

    where is your farm so I can look it up on a map. Thank you in advance. Good job.
    I did some homework and read more about the farm after listening to the video again. It appears to be a great farmland but maybe not for a residence for a 75 year old with some medical issues.

    Is Panama where farmers can farm with government bureaucracy?
    A foreigner can own an agricultural business but can they sell their goods?

    • @PanamaRelocationTours
      @PanamaRelocationTours  2 роки тому +1

      The government in Panama encourages people to grow food. Yes, you can own an ag biz and sell your products.

    I love your video and your heart for the people of Panama. My wife and I are coming to Boquete in February and I would love to meet you and to see your farm. Can you give me the address please? I'm a small time organic gardener. I have been using Korean Natural Farming methods for about 5 years and have just begun to explore JADAM which, if your not using Jadam methods now, they might be very beneficial to your work. Hoping to meet you in February. Blessings to you and your wife.

    The nutritive value of food is affected by the dehydration process. All nutrients are destroyed by heat and air. Our bodies need fresh living nutrients!! How do you grow your food? Conventional agriculture or use permaculture? Do you put agro-chemicals to your plants and soil?

    • @PanamaRelocationTours
      @PanamaRelocationTours  4 роки тому +8

      the nutrient value is not destroyed if the heat never goes about 105 degrees. He uses even lower heat to maintain the nutrient value. he uses rabbit poop for fertilizer. with great soil you don't need agro-chemicals.

      The best compost is the waste from your own kitchen.
      If there are only a few earthworms in it, the compost
      is currently being 'prepared'.

      I agree with Capt Sammi and warte schleife! Why not to offer to indigenous people the raw form of all greens? Is he doing some scientific experiment and using poor people as guinea pigs?

    Nice idea but what he does is called fast-food. Milled powder
    can not replace real herbs. Furthermore, when the soil is good
    no fertilizer or 'growth accelerator' should be used in this hot
    and humid climate. Folks, learn how to cook properly. And to eat.
