I’m so glad to see that Justin and Kelly are still friends. They had a great relationship on Idol. Yes friendship! But you could tell they always rooted for each other. And they are still doing that. 🥰

When he said in 1986 he was 8 years old I’m like wait! How old is he? I thought he was like in his late 30s or 40 but he’s 44. Damn he has no lines. He looks like he’s no more then 35.
@@WalterMoran Kelly was 19 on American Idol, and she was younger than Justin. Kelly is now 40, so he's obviously has to be older than that.

He is the most underrated vocal talent EVER! Absolutely incredible voice and a genuine person. Glad to see he is doing well!

June 20, 2023 I love seeing Justin and Kelly again. I just finished watching their movie/musical "From Justin to Kelly" (2003). I know some called it cheesy but I really liked it. The "Timeless" song was my favorite
My teen self is so happy seeing them together again!
I would love to see them do a duet soon! It’s great to see her following up with her fellow Idol alumni.

I really enjoy the show because as a guest who has done their "plug and moved down the couch", you, the guest, are still included in the other guest's conversation. Such a "cool vibe - RAD" to use Ms. Clarkson's lingo. And yes, Justin and Kelly are still friends; you can tell it is not just for that moment.

June 20, 2023 Some here have said Kelly's interview with Justin was awkward, I did not see any of that. If Justin or Kelly did seem nervous it is because they do have history together which natural.

Am I the only one who notices Kelly seems “off” in this clip? Ya know how like you can tell something is bothering someone even though they’re trying to hide it and pretend like they’re happy and in a good mood? That’s what I’m getting from her in this clip. Why is the guest so far away from Justin.... she seems so bored/offputting?
I know sometimes the first guests on the show move to the very left to give attention for the next guest, and then that continues for every next guest for their interview. Could be the reason

I find this whole thing awkward. Justin would have been a has-been like almost all reality stars but because he got started on a show with Kelly, who became a legitimate A-lister, she's nice enough to put him on the show. So we have to watch him be interviewed as if he's a legitimate celebrity.
@Abcd They dated during "Idol" but I don't know how close they still are. It's more like he wants to be on the show, asks her personally, and she feels obligated to say 'yes' because she's such a nice person. I doubt they talk regularly but I'm sure she always replies to his texts so from his perspective, they're close and from hers, she just doesn't want to come off snooty by not keeping in touch.

@zenxymes If you had observational skills at all, you can see how clearly uncomfortable Kelly is. She's usually so perky and goofing around with guests. Justin is someone from her past and she is strictly serious with him. She put him on the show as a favor and an obligation and he's utilized their connection for his own narcissistic benefit. I don't know how you leapt to the conclusion that I told her she can't have him on the show, as if she wanted to. Again you have no observation skills. Now that's legitimate stupidity. Good luck maneuvering life.
@@johnsmi213 they’re friends but Kelly has zero to do with who she interviews. She has people who deal with that. She’s not doing him any favors. She is already struggling to get bigger guests on the show. She has to have people to interview.
@@gagecarlsen3872 Not exactly true; I work in film and live a few blocks away from where she films her show. She's not the talent booker but she's an executive producer and it's her show. If she wants to feature someone on a segment, she can make it happen. Justin texted her and asked if he could promote some new gig he has. She does not seem thrilled to be used this way but is too nice to have said no. Justin reminds me of everyone in L.A. who wants to hype themselves up as a bigger deal than they are. Kelly liked him when they were super young but I'm sure she can't relate to him anymore.
I like this guy well enough (loved his Lil Sweet ads), but he seems desperate while promoting his, let's say less-than-successful, career. I have a friend who lives in LA who's kind of in the same vein. He's tried and tried for years and I try to get excited for him when he tells me he's going to play a corpse in a TV show or gets a commercial with Sears (when Sears was still with us), etc. But, you know what, at least they're not giving up!
Sorry but Justin Mentoring artists? He barely landed 2 albums before he fell off.
Albums in pop music aren't the be all end all of success.
